We came to Perla Oyster Bar & Grill for a nice celebration dinner, and overall, it was a really great experience. The restaurant has a beautiful, modern vibe- upscale but not intimidating- and it felt like the kind of place you'd go for a celebration (which we did!) or a fancier date night. The three of us shared a bottle of Albino Armani Pinot Grigio, which was super crisp and refreshing. It went perfectly with all the seafood we ordered and was easy to drink throughout the night. Here's what we tried: Raspberry Point Oysters (ordered 18 pcs) - I'll admit, I'm usually not the biggest fan of raw oysters, but the red vinaigrette they served on the side totally changed the game for me. It was tangy, slightly sweet, and packed with flavour. I could've eaten way more oysters just because of that vinaigrette. Super fresh, too! Truffle Fries - These were an easy favourite. The fries were hot and crispy, with a strong truffle aroma and flavour that didn't feel fake or overpowering. The parmesan on top added a nice touch, and we ended up snacking on these all night. Crab Cakes - I liked the taste, especially with the added citrus aioli, but the texture was a little too soft for me. I couldn't really pick out the crab unfortunately, it kind of all blended together. Still enjoyable, just not something I'd be rushing to get again. Bone Marrow - This was actually my first time trying bone marrow. I don't really know how to describe it... it was rich and buttery, and the sourdough toast helped cut through that heaviness. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. Just one of those things I'm glad I tried. We ordered an extra piece so we could each have our own. Lobster Linguine - It was rich and flavourful. The sauce had a nice garlicky seafood taste, and they didn't skimp on the lobster meat. I'd definitely order this again. Linguine - This was a lighter option compared to the lobster one. It was fresh and simple with a nice tomato and basil flavour. If you're not looking for something too heavy, this is a good choice. Risotto Bianco (with added lobster tails) - The risotto itself was creamy and comforting, and both the scallop and shrimp were cooked perfectly- had that nice, bouncy texture I love. I added lobster tails to it (which came out to an extra $60), and while I appreciated the upgrade, the lobster was a little overcooked and ended up being kind of mushy. That was the only letdown for me. I also have to give a shoutout to our server, Eric. He was super attentive all night, checked in at the right times and made us feel really taken care of. Our mains did take longer than expected to come out, and Eric let us know the kitchen was a bit backed up. He apologized on their behalf and actually comped our dessert and after-dinner drinks (coffee and tea), which we really appreciated. That kind of service goes a long way. Yes, the prices here are definitely on the higher side, but between the food, the space, and the service, I felt like it was worth it. I'd definitely come back especially for those oysters and truffle fries.

Perla Oyster Bar absolutely delivers From the moment you sit down, it feels elevated but effortless -- polished service, great energy, and a menu that knows exactly what it's doing. The seafood is pristine, the cocktails are on point, and then... this dessert stole the show. Silky, rich, perfectly balanced -- not overly sweet, beautifully plated, and finished with just the right touch of tartness from the berry drizzle. One of those desserts you slow down for because every bite is worth it. Perla isn't just about oysters (though they do those exceptionally well) -- it's a full experience, done right. Highly recommend for date night, celebrations, or when you just want to treat yourself properly

Great place for parties and events. The service was excellent and ambiance was wonderful. The food was really good and be warned that the portions are all food sized which takes some of the bite out of the price. As you can see on the pictures, our group ordered a lot of different varieties and there was no disappointments all around. Definitely go back for our next event!

I had the opportunity to eat here on a Friday night and absolutely couldn't pass it up. I'd heard so much about the place! If you are going during prime hours, be sure to make a reservation... we did, and just barely got in, it's a busy spot! We walked in and were drawn to a live drum performance to lounge beats which, for me, was a fresh change from the common saxophone or piano player. The ambiance of the restaurant is what you could call "nouveau-chic" or "classy trendy upscale". There is a dress code that no one seemed to violate from what I saw. The restaurant has many sections and an upstairs which I didn't get to see on this first visit. Our table was on the patio which for winter is converted into a fully heated eating area. When our server arrived we all noticed that he had a bit of a chip on his shoulder at first. That seemed to disappear a bit each time we spoke with him, eventually getting to the point of light laughter. He ended up being quite good to us after that rough start. The food everyone ordered was delicious. The presentation of each dish was impressive and the portions were fair. The prices are somewhat higher than ideal, but you really are also paying for "the dining experience" here. Our bill for 3 people came to just under $400 for apps, meals & drinks/shots. Dessert was complimentary because somehow my dining companions AND the restaurant manager who came to chat with us out of the blue, all decided it should be my birthday! Lollol (at least they didn't sing). But the place really is visually appealing, the food is really good and the vibes are great. It's the ideal spot for date night or a splurge night out with friends. Pros: - Location (incl. free parking) - Ambiance/Decor/Lighting - Staff (even with the rocky intro) - Taste/Quality/Presentation/Selection of food Cons: - Price (could be worse, but...) Can't wait to go back!

Had a fantastic meal here. They brought out a giant appetizer platter which was phenomenal and so good I didn't get a chance to photograph. Highly recommend for larger groups. Then I got a phenomenal osso buco. With high end dining it can go either way but this was on point.

Attended for their Valentines Day special last night and the service was extremely slow, food was overcooked, 30 minutes for a refill on my drink! Horrendous experience which ruined the occasion and unlike any other time we've been there sadly! Entertainment was the ONLY enjoyable aspect of the evening, almost $3xx bill for my wife and I that Absolutely did NOT meet expectations! Seriously do better Russ!

Amazing dinner last night celebrating our anniversary! Service was too notch, ambience and the food was mostly on point. We ordered the carpaccio, focaccia, clam chowder, french onion soup, short ribs, oysters, oysters Rockefeller and lobster spoons. All were excellent except my FO soup was too salty and short ribs were nothing special. Will be back for our next celebration!

Hey Yelpers! Thought I'd try this place for dinner while in route to work. Thoughts, parking is minimal. You can park in the other plazas around it that are literally steps away from restaurant, however, the entrances to those parking lots are different cause it's another plaza. Upon entering I was greeted by the hostess. The environment is casual. Very small space. Welcoming. For those people who are cautious with COVID, their staff do not wear face masks. Unsure about vaccination status. I did observe the bartender coughing into his sleeve a few times. The utensils are in a drawer that are all mixed up. So if you are very cautious with germs and cleanliness, heads up. I ordered the Fettucine ($49). The Fettucine is composed of Lobster tail * crab legs * shrimp * scallop * mussels * clams * light tomato sauce. The pasta is on the harder side for me. The sauce is very light but a small kick of spice, not too spicy. You get one small lobster tail, one small crab leg, few small mussels (4), maybe 3 shrimp and one scallop for me. Clams? None in mine. Is it worth it? To be honest not really, I was expecting better flavours. If you don't mind the sea after taste then this should be fine for you, This place was recommended to me by my barber. He said food was good. He did notice one possibly concerning aspect is that POC were seated in the lower level. Can't confirm cause I haven't dined in yet. So would I go again? Sure. Try another dish. Do I recommend it? Only if you are desperate to try eat there.

Came here for our anniversary dinner as we didn't want to travel too far, and we were pleasantly surprised! Oyster were delicious, and the clam chowder was probably the best that I've had. There was live music in the evening and it got a bit loud, so we found it a bit hard to talk to each other. Service was amazing though, and the dishes were well timed.

Came back here when COVID allowed this restaurant to open up and it was great. We got a great server. Oysters were fresh and service was quick!

The restaurant was loud though...We got the burger and sirloin but the wait took about 20 minutes. I vaguely remember they used to serve bread but we got nothing. By the time I got my food, I was starving. The steak was nicely grilled but the cut was quite disappointing. It was a slab or "round" thick steak that didn't look like a sirloin and it had a bit of a liver taste. The burger was juicy and delicious but the onion ring on top was cold and stale. The loaded mashed potatoes was also $5 extra but it did taste pretty good. Service was good though..

It was bizarre but I didn't question it at the time since there were people with me and I was going to tip anyways so I just went with it. When I asked one of my friends that came before, she told me that they never had that done to them and that it was weird that it happened to me. Another thing was how I indicated on the reservation that it was for a birthday and the hostess didn't mention a single thing nor did our waitress. Why make us indicate on the reservation if it doesn't matter? My friend told me that for their anniversary the waitress told them to choose a dessert on the house. I wasn't expecting a free dessert for the birthday but it seemed like we were an afterthought compared to other guests.

The available dips or garnishes like the chimichurri adds new taste profiles and offers even more meat and sauce combinations. I also particularly enjoyed the available sides - lasagna, mac and cheese, braised beef ribs cassava puree, etc. Grilled shrimp is served for some seafood variety, as well as grilled pineapple to wash away the palate opening up for more meat consumption. It would be best to arrive very early so as to get more frequent servings of the grilled meats when there are not yet too many tables around for the servers to rotate. We arrived at 6PM and for about the first half hour we were getting a good rate of table visits. It was very disappointing at around the 7PM mark when the place started filling in. I was finding myself always waiting to be attended to and seeing the servers skipping our table entirely. I had to call it out to the lady servers for our table to be visited and offered more food. Another thing is the performers. I am unsure about the daily schedule exactly, but my experience was that the 2 dancers came in around 7:15 and danced for about 5 to 10 mins. Not all of the tables at the patio area would have a good view of the dancers. The dancers would change to different dance spots around the restaurant and there would be certain perfect locations with a good view of the performance. Overall, I would say the whole experience was OK to good. It is too expensive for what it is. The All You Can Eat promise is only more applicable during the early part or during slow times where there is not much diners in. It becomes frustrating later on. I also expected more from the performers, either a longer number or multiple occasions of short performances. Lastly, during our dining time we experienced a few flies present and landing on our food.

The server, food runner, hostesses- our table was ready right on time which is always a pleasant surprise when you're coming in on a busy weekend! The cheesecake was also very good as well as the cauliflower (although there was definitely more breading then cauliflower). The shrimp skewers were also well cooked! Now in terms of the other items, as a big table we got plenty of apps including the tuna tartar and spinach dip- tar tar was mediocre, spinach dip was definitely a let down sadly. Mains- I got the cod which I found maybe a little overcooked- the accompanying sides with the fish were tasty but the fish was just hard to get down. My partner had the salmon and enjoyed it. Our table also had a few steaks, ribs and the shrimp skewers- everything was good but nothing to write home about. Would I go back? Probably not - although that cinnamon bun was truly amazing, everything else was definitely a let down.

I decided to try the latter. Frankly, I hadn't visited either. Prior to this visit, the only Bâton Rouge location that I have visited is the one in Dorion-Vaudreuil. It's smack in the middle of a bunch of box stores. I would stop by before and after visiting Montreal. I loved it. I hope that it's still there. I came here on a Saturday afternoon. It was straightforward to find. It was a hot day. There was shaded parking in front of the eatery. I backed into a spot and walked in. I was greeted by a young woman. I stated that I was dining by myself. For some reason, she made settings for two people. My server was extremely attentive and nice. She removed the extra place setting. I let her know that I had a coupon. She nodded. Prices at Bâton Rouge have gone up since I last dined at one. The best bang for your buck is the prix fixe menu. You pick a main entrée. It comes with soup or salad, and the dessert of the day. I got the top sirloin with lobster tail. I chose tomato rice soup. I got truffle fries for an extra $3 as my side. The dessert of this Saturday was New York-style cheesecake with raspberry sauce. I started off with a Diet Pepsi with a lime wedge. It was icy cold and yummy. The lime was a nice touch. I got a refill a bit later. My server was excellent. My tomato rice soup came out next. I got oyster crackers with it. This soup was delicious. It was comforting and the perfect starter, especially with the oyster crackers in it. My main came out. It looked as yummy as it tasted. I don't remember the last time I had steak and lobster at a restaurant. It was likely before the pandemic. This combo was awesome! I got my sirloin medium-well. It was exactly how I liked it. It was a bit pink inside, but tender enough to cut through it with a steak knife. It was yummy and seasoned nicely. The lobster tail was awesome. It was juicy and enjoyable to eat. The clarified butter was so good. I dunked everything in it. I would wear clarified butter if it were a perfume. The truffle fries were good. I felt that the cheese on top wasn't necessary. All it needed were the fries and the truffle oil. The cheese drowned out everything, so I moved some of it off to the side. The fries and truffle oil were yummy together once the cheese got a backseat. I also dunked my fries into the clarified butter. My dessert came after I was done with my main. I love New York-style cheesecake. This one was creamy and dense. Sometimes, you don't want a heavy graham cracker crust. Sometimes, you want more raspberry sauce. This cheesecake satisfied my dessert craving. It was divine. Another server came over to help me settle my bill. My original server was on a break -- a much deserved one. I showed her my coupon. It was an interactive artificial intelligence-based coupon. It asked me a bunch of questions, such as how much my bill was before taxes, my table number, restaurant location, and more. I was glad to hand it over to my server to fill out Why can't it be simple? My second server needed help applying this discount to my bill, so I got to meet the manager. He asked me how everything was as he was working on my bill. He was nice and got my discount applied. It took quite the effort to apply my coupon. I was glad when it was all done. I paid with a credit card. All was great! I used the washroom before I left. It was clean and spacious. I got to say goodbye to my original server before I headed out the door. I thanked her for everything and wished her a great day. I had a wonderful meal. I wouldn't come here regularly because it'll break your bank. However, if you want to treat yourself or celebrate a special occasion, come here. The service was wonderful and the food was yummy. (356)

I hit my fifteen-year work anniversary in September. I never thought that I'd last this long at a company. My job duties have changed so much over the years that I'm constantly learning and figuring things out, which I enjoy. I received a bunch of points to use towards various gifts from our internal portal. I went with e-gift cards and got four different ones. One of them was for The Keg. I finally got around to using it last Wednesday. After work, I drove up to this The Keg location in Woodbridge. It's across from the Element hotel that I used to spend the night at when I returned to the city late from a flight. It's funny that I only knew about the McDonald's next to this hotel, simply because it was the only food place open when I checked in at nearly midnight. It's nice to know that there's this eatery when it's not pitch black at night. I parked just behind the restaurant and walked over to the entrance. The patio looks like it would be great to use when it's summertime. I got here at 5:30 pm. There were a few folks ahead of me in the lobby area waiting for a table. There were two male staffers greeting people. One was working politely with a not-so-happy customer on the phone. The other was diligently working to seat everyone. When it was my turn, both folks were so welcoming. One of them offered the lounge area. I was down with it. It's the best part of dining solo. You don't have to wait for a table in the dining room when you can be seated at either the lounge or bar. It was comfortable dining in the lounge. Megan was my server. She was exceptionally professional and efficient. I went with the prime rib (ten-ounce) as part of my Keg classic. I asked that it be done medium-well. I selected mixed greens as my starter salad. My meal came with veggies and my choice of side. I went with garlic mashed potatoes. I ordered a Diet Pepsi. It came to me fairly quickly, as I was seated so close to the bar. I also got a glass of water with ice. It was great. Megan asked if I wanted bread to start. Yes, please! I enjoyed the sourdough bread with butter. I had half of it. It was warm and chewy. So good! I stopped eating it because my mixed greens salad had arrived. This salad was excellent. The greens were fresh and crunchy. I loved the picked onions on top. The vinaigrette had a mild garlicky flavour to it, which I absolutely loved. I polished this salad off quickly. My main came out. The only weirdness of this evening was seeing my food plated mostly on the right. I'd say that 25% of my plate was stark white. It wasn't like my food had slid off to one side. It was simply weird. I saw a mound of crispy onions. It wasn't mentioned on the menu as part of my meal. They looked like a lot. However, when they were mixed in with the au jus after I had poured it on my prime rib, they were delicious and didn't seem like a lot. I loved my prime rib. It was done to my liking. It was flavourful and perfect with the au jus. The veggies made my day. Roasted beets. Green beans. Sautéed mushrooms. They were my kind of veggie trifecta. I love beets. The fact that they were roasted made them even sweeter to enjoy. The green beans were perfect. The mushrooms were yummy. I was in love with this veggie combination. The garlic mashed potatoes were comforting. They had the right amount of garlic, butter, and potatoes with the skin. I'd get them again. I couldn't fit dessert in. Megan recognized that I had my e-gift card printed out and set it up on the payment machine for me to use. I tipped and let her know that the meal was excellent. She was happy to hear it. I still have a bit of a balance left. I look forward to using it up soon. My e-gift card has no expiration date, so I'm in no rush. Megan was helpful when I asked her where the washroom was. It was behind the bar. The women's was fancy and clean. I had an excellent experience here. It was nice to quietly enjoy a decent prime rib meal after work. It's a great eatery with delicious steaks and more. I would return in a heartbeat. (407)

We had a party of 13 and they served us our drinks really fast, two rounds of shots came out before we even ordered which means we waited about 30 minutes before we ordered. But holy the worst part was waiting after we ordered. The wait was about an hour and a half before our entrees came out and I understand we were a big party but it really shouldn't have taken THAT long. We had apps like charcuterie board and oysters but we were munching on that quickly. We started to get irritated because I've never sat at a restaurant that took that long to bring out food. When it finally came out we were probably 6 rounds of shots in and honestly I was a little too drunk to eat by then. Took a few bites of my 55 day dry aged rib eye and it was good from what I remember. Disappointed at the fact that the only side of potato they had to offer was fingerling potatoes, I'm a huge fan of mashed potatoes and steak. Anyways truffle fries were good too. We were extremely late to our next event, probably didn't leave until 12am when we arrived at 9pm. For the price point, I'd recommend going somewhere else.

We spoke to the manager weeks in advance and he had given us three options of a preset menu to pick from. When we arrived in a Thursday evening, the place was packed. We figured it's because the government has been wishy washy about clothing places down again because of the pandemic. So we didn't mind waiting. Except we had reservations at 7:30 and sat down at 8:15. It just kept getting messier from here Although we already discussed a present menu, we were offered regular menu and had to once again say we discussed a preset menu weeks in advance. Option of a salad, main and dessert. I won't speak for my colleagues but I wasn't impressed at all. I got the iceberg something salad. was literally an iceberg lettuce DRENCHED in blue cheese dressing. I didn't finish it. Then I ordered a steak and lobster. That was the only thing that worked for me. My steak was good through and my lobster was done right. For dessert, all I wanted was a cheesecake to which they didn't have so I literally didn't have a dessert. It was a pie/cobbler option or an ice cream cake option. But because it was a preset menu, each member of the party still was to pay the $70. Im glad my company paid for everything but still. I just wasn't impressed enough to say I enjoyed my experience. If it wasn't for my colleagues.

My brother got the urfa kebab (mild minced beef served with bulgar, tomato, pepper, and onion) which he enjoyed! My partner and I shared the tavuk pirzola (chicken dark meat served with bulgar, tomato, pepper, and onion) as well as the mantarli karsali pide (mushroom and melted cheese). The latter came out very quickly and hot and was so delicious. I think that was my most favourite dish I ate. It also came with green peppers that were pickled which was quite bitter and salty. The chicken was charred very nicely but did not have that much flavour. I still enjoyed it with the side dishes. At the end of our dinner, we also got complimentary Turkish tea which was very nice of them. I only had a sip as I didn't want too much caffeine at night. Service was excellent. Washrooms could be cleaner. Would recommend otherwise.
