One of my favorite things to do is go to a cooking class and the class at the cookery is one of the best I've been to. I enjoyed the overall setup- focusing less on the recipes and more on the experience. As a plus, they send the recipes for what you made the next day! I attended the pasta cooking class and I honestly did not expect to make three types of pasta. I was able to practice using the Kitchenaid attachment as well as a manual pasta roller which was great. After each meal we made, sitting down "family-style" was great because we were able to immediately enjoy what we cooked. Love the small group setting and everyone having the ability to try different stations. When I first booked, I thought it was a little pricey, but after attending this event, I 1000% think the price was worth the experience. My partner and I had a great time at The Cookery. Neither of us have taken a cooking class before but had a fun and memorable experience, so full with some amazing food. The kitchen was nice and clean and our Steakhouse class was small and intimate which we liked so we all had a fair share amount of things to do. Cooking here is a group activity so rather than everyone making their own dish, each person contributes by preparing the ingredients, mixing, or seasoning for the entire serving. Tiffany was warm, engaging and knowledgeable which made the class a lot of fun. There was a generous amount of food and everything was delicious. In under 3 hours we prepared a salad, steak, cheesecake and a Manhattan. The Caesar salad we prepared was the best I ever had. The NY steak was on point and filling and the cheesecake was so tasty. Drink pours and prep was also quite generous. Overall, I highly recommend the Cookery for a date night or new experience. You'll walk away belly filled and happy and feeling like you're a bit more of a chef than when you walked in. read more

Had a ton of fun tonight at Cookery! Not only is this a cooking class that you learn techniques and neat quick kitchen tricks butttt it's a great history lesson. I learned so much and I'm such a history nerd so it was really cool to learn where and why different foods came from and how they were first used. The tortilla soup we made was awesome, the salsa was great and I didn't stay for the Mexican chocolate ice cream we made but I heard it was amazing! Honestly can't wait to go back! read more

This was one of the best cooking classes that I have taken. The small class size allowed for everyone to get a chance to learn and experience the various steps in each recipe instead of having to divide and conquer. We were also able to get to know everyone in the class and feel really comfortable to have a good time. We enjoyed 4 courses, some of which were paired with wines which felt worth the money. After we finished cooking each course, we would enjoy it family-style with the group. The class ended up being a little over 3 hours and we were constantly engaged in cooking or eating the entire time. My favorite part about this cooking class was there focus on sanitation. They made sure to remind everyone of hand washing hygiene and not to touch our phones which I have not had at some other cooking classes that I have been to. read more

I went here to celebrate my wedding anniversary. It was a nice intimate class only one other couple attended. We made a 3 course meal. The instructors were very knowledgeable and personable. They gave out wine throughout the class. They also had apple cider, water, and tea. The food came out great. I would definitely recommend this experience. The class started on time. read more

They pocketed $250 with zero hesitation and no consideration for our situation. ** I'm going to go ahead and edit this review and highly recommend an INCREDIBLE sushi class to go to instead the cookery- Lav Sushi. This is a local, Asian, and woman-owned business with qualified sushi chefs, high quality fish, and fun atmosphere. I'm attaching their info to the photos. I highly recommend them. The value is there and they won't overcharge or pocket your money when uncontrollable situations arise.** My husband got into a car wreck yesterday afternoon, and I had called the company immediately (it went straight to voicemail, which had happened a few times before when attempting to make the reservation initially) to let them know that I was on my way to the wreck and that we were so sorry we couldn't make our 6:30 reservation. I apologized profusely, explained the situation, and asked if there was anyway we could reschedule. Once at the wreck (my husband and the other driver were okay thank goodness), I emailed them and explained the same thing I had over voicemail, and I asked if it was possible to reschedule. I received an email (photo) a few hours later that same evening with no empathy or concern about the wreck with information about their 72 hour cancellation policy. I understand a cancellation policy and not getting a refund. I also worked in the food and restaurant industry for years and understand that the company is taking a loss for the cost of supplies and food. However, I do believe there is a human element in the service industry of having empathy and understanding. We would have been willing to pay the difference in food and supply costs, but there was no interest on their end to even discuss our situation. This was the second email I received from Tiffany that showed her lack of hospitality and good customer service. I can see that she is the chef, which makes me think they need someone who is better skilled in hospitality and service recovery to operate the business side of this company. Policies are in place to protect business from major loss. There should always be room for extenuating circumstances. I'm sure the classes are great, but I cannot support a company with poor business etiquette. I will attempting to report them to the BBB - of which they are not listed from my search. Additionally, this was a $250 gift from my brother and sister in law for our wedding that my husband and I were looking forward to for weeks. This was noted in the gift certificate we used to make the reservation. We are not out $250, but my family, who was giving us a thoughtful wedding gift, is. It's tasteless. read more

We had an amazing night with Tiffany and Tasha. Unfortunately the other group cancelled however that meant we got our own personal cooking class for our anniversary! I love how the recipes were easy and the nuggets of knowledge that Tiffany would drop while we were cooking. I should have taken more photos but we were enjoying ourselves too much! We made a bitter salad with pears, apples and candied pecans; braised short ribs with herbed polenta, crispy brussel sprouts with pancetta and shallots, a port reduction and a gremolata; dark chocolate pots de creme with a vanilla Chantilly creme. Had a amazing time at The cookery it was such a great experience and It is definitely great for Date night or even just a group of friends. I liked the fact that it was very well organized and had a themed of what we were doing for that event.
