The customer service is non-existent. They pocketed $250 with zero hesitation and no consideration for our situation. ** I'm going to go ahead and edit this review and highly recommend an INCREDIBLE sushi class to go to instead the cookery- Lav Sushi. This is a local, Asian, and woman-owned business with qualified sushi chefs, high quality fish, and fun atmosphere. I'm attaching their info to the photos. I highly recommend them. The value is there and they won't overcharge or pocket your money when uncontrollable situations arise.** My husband got into a car wreck yesterday afternoon, and I had called the company immediately (it went straight to voicemail, which had happened a few times before when attempting to make the reservation initially) to let them know that I was on my way to the wreck and that we were so sorry we couldn't make our 6:30 reservation. I apologized profusely, explained the situation, and asked if there was anyway we could reschedule. Once at the wreck (my husband and the other driver were okay thank goodness), I emailed them and explained the same thing I had over voicemail, and I asked if it was possible to reschedule. I received an email (photo) a few hours later that same evening with no empathy or concern about the wreck with information about their 72 hour cancellation policy. I understand a cancellation policy and not getting a refund. I also worked in the food and restaurant industry for years and understand that the company is taking a loss for the cost of supplies and food. However, I do believe there is a human element in the service industry of having empathy and understanding. We would have been willing to pay the difference in food and supply costs, but there was no interest on their end to even discuss our situation. This was the second email I received from Tiffany that showed her lack of hospitality and good customer service. I can see that she is the chef, which makes me think they need someone who is better skilled in hospitality and service recovery to operate the business side of this company. Policies are in place to protect business from major loss. There should always be room for extenuating circumstances. I'm sure the classes are great, but I cannot support a company with poor business etiquette. I will attempting to report them to the BBB - of which they are not listed from my search. Additionally, this was a $250 gift from my brother and sister in law for our wedding that my husband and I were looking forward to for weeks. This was noted in the gift certificate we used to make the reservation. We are not out $250, but my family, who was giving us a thoughtful wedding gift, is. It's tasteless.

Braised short ribs, herbed polenta, crispy brussel sprouts with pancetta & shallots, a port reduction and topped off with a gremolata

We had an amazing night with Tiffany and Tasha. Unfortunately the other group cancelled however that meant we got our own personal cooking class for our anniversary! I love how the recipes were easy and the nuggets of knowledge that Tiffany would drop while we were cooking. I should have taken more photos but we were enjoying ourselves too much! We made a bitter salad with pears, apples and candied pecans; braised short ribs with herbed polenta, crispy brussel sprouts with pancetta and shallots, a port reduction and a gremolata; dark chocolate pots de creme with a vanilla Chantilly creme. It was divine!!

Kelly is making sure I don't make a mess haha!

This entire meal itself is shared/cooked as a group of four, even though your station is for 2 people. You are standing throughout the class and get breaks in between to go check out the store. For example I have done a pastry baking class - Macaroons and croissants. I booked this class for 4 people so it was perfect because we all knew each other and it was a group activity. Since it was four of us we had a row/table to ourselves. *****Each table has two stations, each pair gets a station. So each table has 4 people. ***** For us the baking class was fun because our group of 4 got to be next to each other and work together. ***For baking classes you are able to take leftovers home.*** I have also done a Dinner class - Carbonara pasta, Caprese salad, and tiramisu dessert. This was booked for 2 people to celebrate a birthday for a friend. In this experience of booking for 2 people we had to share the table and ingredients with another couple/pair. When booking for 2, as a date night, the only part that might ruin the vibe of is you are very close to the other group. It isn't intimate and you don't have your own space. The food portions are enough but not super filling. You would be satisfied but you might leave feeling like you have some space for something small. ***Some people do have left overs but the sad thing is with savory classes you cannot take leftovers. You either finish your food or you toss it out. So even if you were full you would be tossing some of your $ away. ****

I came here at mid-afternoon and the store was fairly empty. The employees were helpful, one of them offered to make me an espresso which was quite tasty and powerful. The two employees on the floor kept disappearing and I had to keep calling them over to assist me to find Something or to wrap up a gift for a nominal charge). Parking is $5 unless you park in the free parking garage - just a short walk.

It wasn't awkward at all, and because you're seated at a table full of other people - i didn't stand out for not having a partner or group. They don't have their own space, so we rented out a room at Clutch Distillery. The even was inside, in a cozy room where they had all of our supplies set up for us on tables in little stations. There were 15 of us in the class, with 5 people at each table. The instructors were clear and gave you all of the information needed to have a successful cake building experience. The cakes turned out honestly so much better than I imagined, as I am no where near an expert! The class was just under two hours, and the girls packed up our cakes for us to travel home with. And yes, it was dug into as soon as we got home and was absolutely delicious. Great experience and would highly recommend

We decorated heart shaped cakes using the Houston Astros colors, how fitting! I never would have guessed that I would actually create a decent professional looking cake (IMO) but I've never been prouder. The directions from the owners ( two young women- that took the cake) was very easy to follow, they were both extremely helpful and left no man behind lol. I can't wait to join them at another event. Highly recommend

My foodie friends and I had a blast! I had never made pasta from scratch before, and he explained everything clearly. It was super interactive and we had a lovely time! My favorite part was being part of the assembly line of chefs making a massively long sheet of pasta that we would then cut ravioli from. Really fun! I'm looking forward to keeping an eye on the Classpop site and taking another class soon. It's a great way of learning new recipes and cooking techniques, and then getting to eat what you've prepared at the end. Three cheers!

I contacted Classpop via their incompetent chat bot. The chat bot went and canceled the wrong class. I couldn't get it to understand the issue and both classes ended up canceled. They have a phone number but you are not able to reach a human during working hours. It tells you to leave a message and no one calls you back. They also have an after hours email to reach them but of course they don't reply to that email or the 4 other emails sent to their other email address. This entire experience has been awful. Now I had to contact my bank to get a refund. Please avoid anything associated with Classpop!
