The view from the café looking into the dining area

This is a cozy little café that serves breakfast, lunch and do some catering. The staff were friendly and the service was good. This establishment provides hope and opportunity for the disenfranchised in Nashville. You can read their mission on the website. They offer Apps, Australian Specialties, Salads, Baked Potatoes, Burgers, Tacos, Sandwiches, Wraps, Breakfast, Crepes, Pancakes and Expresso and Coffees. Everything we got was Tasty and the Pastries on the Meat Pies are light and flaky. Good comfort food.

A cozy space, hiding in broad daylight, this gem offers an uncomplicated and friendly dining experience with a focus on Australian fare. The flaky meat pie, paired with perfectly seasoned fries was just the base I needed today. The meat pie, with its golden, flaky crust, was in itself a wonderful introduction to what I would hope are Australian staples. As you take your first bite, the crust crumbles delicately, revealing a hearty filling that is rich and savory. The minced beef, was seasoned well with a blend of herbs and spices, a hint of thyme for sure. Complementing the pie are the seasoned fries, which are nothing short of perfection. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Lunch was sprinkled with kind and genuine service. What more could you ask for!

The Cookery is one of favorite places! It's NYE and we came for takeout lunch. Thrilled to see the old menu back- all our faves are on it. Mine is the Ultima Salad , it comes with salad and fruit and choice of two more- I choose chicken salad and pasta salad. Delish!!! Frankly- everything they make here is fabulous and you can't go wrong. Great mission and you can purchase gift cards to be given to those who are hungry and without money. The spiritual ambience is welcoming and relaxing.

The best place to eat near Belmont. This is a wonderful place to have a meal. The restaurant has a mission to train homeless men to be cooks. It also has a program to feed the homeless and you can buy $5 or $10 meals for them to pay forward. The people here are so nice and the restaurant is so homey and there is lots of seating. The food here is delicious, and Breakfast is served all day! I love the Breakfast Bowl, the BLT, the fish, the pork, and the Burgers. My wife loves the salads. I highly recommend the Cookery!

Gracious welcome, attentive staff, warm and hospitable environment, great coffee. Clearly quality kitchen. Partner had the cookery hash and opted to have an egg on top. Raved about it - loved the chipotle sauce. Fresh flavors came through. I had the Aussie Avo Smash . Goodness! Tahini complemented the avocado, beautiful, fresh greens, right texture and bread. Will definitely return and spreading the word. Also appreciate the balance - thank you for keeping hours that allow the staff to explore and engage across all of the other aspects of life. Well done and thank you!!!

Great place for come classic Nashville fare! We had the breakfast pot pie- really nice flaky crust and tasty flavors, the Mac and cheese was creamy and the hot chicken sliders (off menu special) were juicy and tender. Great stop in for an out of towner! Service is great and staff is very friendly.

Top of the Morning Crepe Great Flavors at a great price

"Eat well, do good: The Cookery is a café where delicious meals and espresso meet hope, training, and new beginnings for men rebuilding their lives." This place is our favorite spot for Breakfast and Lunch, both are amazing. Crepes , Pancakes or Coffee Rubbed Fish Tacos , Salads and incredible Burgers ! If you want great food and support helping homeless men to renew & off the streets,,, this place is it. Most everything is made from Scratch, as Chef Brett teaches them Culinary and life skills to enable them to re-enter the community as blessed contributors once the complete the course and graduate Closed on Saturdays (so they can feed the homeless. ) Open Mon-Fri 7:00-2:00 Sundays 11:00-2:00 Don't forget to get their famous Cinnamon Rolls to go back the crew or home !

I always laugh when someone says they have the "best" of anything, like The Cookery does about their cinnamon rolls....but let me tell you, they are not kidding. The food is really, really good here. Plus they have a philanthropic side to their business that supports Nashville residents who have fallen on hard times. Prices aren't cheap but reasonable for 12th Ave. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you love cinnamon rolls!

To make a long story short, I was having a bad morning and was in desperate need of a cinnamon roll. However, for a lot of reasons, I was struggling to find a place where I could quickly get one before work. Some random person on social media told me the cinnamon rolls here were legendary, so I thought I might as well, it was close enough to work. Oh. My. Lord. That cinnamon roll was DELICIOUS. Better yet, right as I walked in the door to pick it up, it had just come out. They were so quick and so nice, too, even though I was just popping in. I absolutely will be returning to dine in sometime, because I can never forget that cinnamon roll.

First time visiting this establishment. While it was very hectic, we still enjoyed our experience. This is a Christ centered business who is very welcoming of ALL. Loved the contemporary music they played. We were greeted by a couple gentleman who instructed us to sit wherever we'd like. They have two areas used for inside dining and an outside seating area as well. Based off numerous YouTube videos of people trying vegemite, we had to try it ourselves. I personally wasn't a fan. It's an acquired taste for sure. I ordered the breakfast wrap with crispy bacon, which was pretty good just needed some extra seasoning. My friend ordered the breakfast crepe add crispy bacon (bacon was definitely limp). We ended up switching meals as she liked mine over hers. Must try The Bees Knees coffee drink and Fruited Tea (very refreshing) I'm assuming Sundays are their busiest days, which is why everything was hectic and a bit rushed or forgotten about.

I am slowly working my way through their menu. While everything I've tried has been tasty, there are definitely some highlights. Their seasonal Greek Signature, for example, is probably my new favorite. It's full of flavor and the perfect balance of Mediterranean ingredients. I also love their new wraps - especially the BBQ Chicken and the Chicken Caesar. Finally, this location has a FroYo machine! It's just under $5 for a generous cup of frozen yogurt, and then you can add on toppings for a small charge as well. My husband I dined in last night and decided to share some, and it was a hit! It's definitely more on the tart side than the sweet side, making it a nice treat when you're eating healthy. Service is fast and friendly (just like at the other Radish locations). The cooks were throwing down in that kitchen! Over a couple of days I tried a few things. SZECHUAN SALAD I got the Szechuan Salad with both kale and spinach. I added tempeh bacon and extra dressing on the side. (It didn't need the extra dressing though.) This salad is SO good! I had to force myself to put the fork down and not overeat. It's a large portion so you can share or save half for another day. (When doing this I recommend getting the dressings on the side to prevent soggy greens.) All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and that Szechuan tofu was thoroughly marinated. Deliciousness! The tempeh (and at home avocado) that I added wasn't necessary but it sure was tasty. This salad is gluten free. SZECHUAN BRUSSELS I love me some roasted brussels sprouts so it was a must to try theirs. I added jalapeños and Hot Tempeh. I have no idea what Hot Tempeh is but I wanted to try it. Best decision ever. The dish itself is amazing. 10/10! The sprouts are saturated in the Szechuan sauce and spices, so every tender bite bursts with tantalizing flavors in your mouth. The Hot Tempeh is tempeh with a coating. It's quite delicious and it elevated an already soaring experience for me. The Szechuan Brussels dish is gluten free, but the Hot Tempeh is not (because of the breading). DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE Because I had to. It was NOT gluten free, but I risked it (I have a gluten sensitivity). They did have a gluten free chocolate cake and a gluten free brownie à la mode dish, but I needed that Dubai Chocolate. It was delicious. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES I ordered a single pancake, gluten free for $1 extra. So fluffy and buttery. You'd never guess it was gluten free or vegan. ROASTED POTATOES Excellent preparation and seasonings. MOCK TUNA MELT Gluten free when ordered as a bowl. It was served on a bed of spinach instead of bread. I omitted the cheese and tomatoes. It was very good and the chipotle sauce had a great kick. TRIPLE CHOCOLATE CAKE Gluten free. Rich. Delicious. Everything I ate here exceeded my expectations. Graze is sure to be one of my go to spots for delicious food when I'm in Nashville.
