My experience is based on the interaction that we had this afternoon not the goods they serve. My sister and I were eating some of the goodies and having bonding time when a lady whom I can assume is the owner came from behind to my sister, touched her hair and then asked if it was appropriate for her to touched my sister's curly hair? Firsr, you already touched my sister's hair and two you must know it is not okay to do so when you are asking!. I truly thought my sister knew her but she did not! I just said you already did touch it which at that time she is just walking towards behind the counter and honestly not sure where she went after that. I cannot believe in 2026 we are still acting like this is okay. Not sure whom this lady thinks she is or what kind of games she thinks she plays to thinks it is okay. Not sure.if she truly thought she was given a compliment to my sister but what is wrong is wrong. She knew she did wrong. For sure we will not be coming back and for sure I have no desire to use what I have left of a gift card. Unprofessional and honestly so out of touch with your clientele. It feels like it stretches for at least a mile, and has a great variety of products. I was delighted to find many Asian stalls, one which offered basque cheesecake. The vendors were friendly and encouraged people to try a sample of their wares. The atmosphere was lively and extremely inviting. Not to mention the market is located along small businesses.

Cookie bars, cheese cake and an Oreo cookie vegan truffle that was mouth watering. I'm a black coffee drinker and it was hot, rich and smooth. All was delivered by a wonderful woman who answered our questions with a smile making us feel welcome. The disappointment began before we even walked through the front door. The entire entrance looked more like a junkyard than a tea room: oversized plastic chess pieces, random wood on the wall where a sign had been removed, dark staining that looked neglected, broken flower pots, old rusted garden furniture. My wife and I almost turned around. Had we been paying that day, we likely would have left. But we had a gift certificate, so we gave it a chance. What concerned me even more was the safety. The steps were in poor condition, and the handrail was extremely loose, moving several inches side to side. As someone with a disability, that felt unsafe. Accessibility should be basic. Inside, the owner and our server were kind and welcoming, and I genuinely appreciated that. But both teapots had been placed on the table before we were seated, and my tea was already cold. I had to ask for hot water just to have a proper cup, which I wouldn't expect from an afternoon tea. The biggest disappointment was the food. At forty five dollars per person, ninety for two, I expected quality and attention to detail. Instead, the sandwiches and pastries were among the poorest I've ever been served. I could only manage a couple of small sandwiches and one dessert before giving up. What surprised me most after our visit was reading the five-star reviews. Based on our experience, it is difficult for me to understand how this place earns that level of praise. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism. The staff was kind, but kindness can't overcome serious maintenance and quality issues.
