I have been thinking since this afternoon whether I should post this but it will be a disvantage to anyone living in winter haven if I did not, so I will post it for anyone to know and make a decision whether this place is for you or not. My experience is based on the interaction that we had this afternoon not the goods they serve. My sister and I were eating some of the goodies and having bonding time when a lady whom I can assume is the owner came from behind to my sister, touched her hair and then asked if it was appropriate for her to touched my sister's curly hair? Firsr, you already touched my sister's hair and two you must know it is not okay to do so when you are asking!. I truly thought my sister knew her but she did not! I just said you already did touch it which at that time she is just walking towards behind the counter and honestly not sure where she went after that. I cannot believe in 2026 we are still acting like this is okay. Not sure whom this lady thinks she is or what kind of games she thinks she plays to thinks it is okay. Not sure.if she truly thought she was given a compliment to my sister but what is wrong is wrong. She knew she did wrong. For sure we will not be coming back and for sure I have no desire to use what I have left of a gift card. Unprofessional and honestly so out of touch with your clientele. Winter Haven is growing rapidly and you will have to deal with all of more people like us. Some people are so passive aggressive that is gross. Not looking for an apology from the owner or the business. read more

I fell in love with the Gourmet Goodies Bake Shop. They are everything that I want in a bakery. I was surrounded by beautiful decorated cakes, cheesecake, cookies, cupcakes, cake pops and more. I purchased a slice of turtle cheese cake, macarons, three cookies, two cupcakes and a half pound cookie. I purchased the half pound cookie out of curiosity. For $8.95 you get a monster of a cookie that is filled with lots of goodies. I gave the cookie away so I did not get to try it but I heard that it was wonderfully decadent. I did taste the regular sized cookies and thought that they were amazing. They are fat and moist over flat and crispy. The turtle cheesecake was delicious and the cupcakes are a must order. Desperate for a birthday surprise for my nephew in Winter Haven, I searched for some kind of unbelievable dessert to send during this whole Coronavirus thing and I happened upon Gourmet Goodies Bake Shop. I called last minute and asked if they had a strawberry cheesecake for delivery. When they didn't, they found a plain cheesecake and modified it and, voila, strawberry cheesecake! I chose a deep chocolate cupcake with a bourbon whip center, $3. It was large, decadent, beautiful and delicious. I took 3 cookies home "for later". So far I can vouch for the A+ caramel thumbprint with white chocolate chips and look forward to the thick snickerdoodle and the chocolate chip. Everyone was friendly and attentive--I was welcomed upon entering, invited to look and helped quickly. The staff knew their products and seemed to enjoy "teaching" me the options. Between the weather, the current pandemic and stay at home orders. I had to find a way to get out of the house, get fresh air, and treat myself. Ive been running pass gourmet goodies in downtown winter haven for the last two weeks and of course while on a 3 mile run there's absolutely no time to stop for sugar. So today i made it a priority's to head over before they close their doors at 5. The ladies at gourmet goodies were fabulous. The space was clean and signs were marked on the floor so that the safety of customers were clearly a priority. Although they had a limited supply of items due to the pandemic what they did have was enough for me! Izzy and Belinda were super great with their service. I specifically came in for the strawberry cheesecake cupcakes and they were out but thanks to Belinda, she made it happen! Was looking for a unique way to ask my best friend and sister to be in my wedding! That is when I came across gourmet goodies! I send an email in and Deb responded the same day. I emailed her on Wednesday and I was able to get the cookies on Friday! Woot Woot! I find that alot of vendors don't want to communicate via email, and she was able to! When I went to pick the cookies up! Their facility is beautiful inside, nice wide and open. The hardwood floors are to die for. The cookies looked great! I cannot wait to ask my sister and my best friend to be in my wedding! P.S. I asked about their vegan and gluten free options this morning as I am still looking for someone to do my wedding cake!
