The staff was friendly and attentive, which always makes the experience better. Pro tip: the grilled cheese isn't on the menu, but you should definitely ask for it. So much gooey, melted cheese -- it was amazing. The only downside was that the cookies weren't labeled. The guy behind the counter had to keep explaining what each one was to customers, which could easily be fixed with simple labels. And the banana bread with cookie crumbles on top? BEST thing ever!!!! Omg I wish they were open later that's my only complaint lol. I've tried a few of their sandwiches but I must say that the croque monseuir was my favorite. It's like a grilled ham and cheese. Crispy and quality ingredients not your average grilled cheese let me tell ya. Then my side salad was like an apple summer salad so refreshing. My favorite cookie is the smores. They're so sweet here too. I wish I had some cash to tip bc the tap to pay doesn't demand it like most places lol but seriously I'm gonna go out to my car and find some cash to tip bc I sure do appreciate good service and good food. We decided to explore this place after seeing it on tiktok. The service was excellent and extremely welcoming as the owner talked us through all of our options and checked up on us throughout our meal. We chose a wrap and paninis came with a free cookie or chip. The cookies had the perfect amount of sweetness, and the cookie milk latte was one of the best coffees we've had in Riverside! The rocky road cookie had a nice balance between the nuttiness and sweetness of the cookie while the apple butter snickerdoodle had a nice cinnamon spice. The caesar salad with chicken inside the wrap was delicious, and we would love to order it on its own next time. There was a bit too much outer wrap and we ended up tearing out the excess. The caprese panini with prosciutto was extremely rich and buttery, but there was a lot of cheese that was slightly overwhelming the tomato and pesto. Overall, the cafe had a cute and welcoming charm. This place popped up on my tik tok so I wanted to stop by and check it out . I walked in and was immediately greeted by staff and the cashier working answered all my questions regarding the menu . I got the caprese sandwich combo and it was nice that you got to choose from the choice of a cookie salad or chips as a side . I decided on the strawberry fields salad with the Balsamic dressing . I got my boyfriend the Cobb salad and it was nice that they had different options for dressing such as the green goddess etc.. you can't got a place called the Cookie tin and not get cookies so I got my boyfriend the s'more's cookie and I got peanut butter my personal favorite . The food came out fairly quickly however there was just a few issues that made it a 4.5 experience out of five was the cashier working forgot to put in my boyfriends order for the Cobb salad so I had to wait for it or get made. I also had paid for turkey on my sandwich and it was not put on there so that was kind of a downer . But overall I did enjoy this place . The coffee was really good , the food was super fresh and you can tell that they really care about the product they put out . The peanut butter cookie was delicious as well because not everyone can make a good peanut butter cookie and this was passed the test . It was just right with the perfect amount of sweetness and not too oily form the peanut butter and it was moist . The ambiance in the place was nice as well . I was craving panera for lunch and holy smokes am I glad I came here instead. The Caesar salad wrap with chicken was enormous and delicious. Absolutely no skimping on the croutons, dressing or chicken whatsoever. I was stuffed after the first half and after marinating in the wrap it was even more delicious for dinner. I came for the cookies and tried 5 of the 6 different flavors and unfortunately I didn't love any of them. The cookies are big! That's a plus if you like their cookies. I have a huge sweet tooth but some of these were way too sugary for me. A few were under-flavored. These cookies have more of a sugar cookie texture than classic homemade cookies with heaps of butter. My theory is they've reduced the eggs and butter in their recipes. Although the service was great and it's a cute shop, the cookies are akin to chain store grocery cookies. White chocolate macadamia was pretty good, it wasn't too sweet and had the best outside texture of all 6 that I got. There weren't that many white chocolate chips and only 3 macadamia nut pieces in it though. It was also undercooked. I love a gooey center but these were just straight up undercooked. The chocolate chip was the most disappointing, it was dry and dense. I really wanted an ooey gooey chocolate chip cookie that people have posted in their reviews. Snickerdoodle was undercooked so the center was doughy. It needed a punch up to the flavor, but maybe the flavor just can't come through because it needed to be baked a bit more. The strawberry milk had a single strawberry on it and was also undercooked. There were a lot of white chocolate chips in it so it was a tad sweeter than I expected. I didn't get a strong strawberry when I took a bite. The brookie of the month was just okay to me, it was also a bit sweet. The sprinkles were dried out. It was also undercooked. read more

The caprese panini was delicious and the only thing I'd come back for. All the cookies were almost flavorless. Very bland. The other panini wasn't good either, had a strange taste and felt like it was missing something. The lattes were very bitter, not sweet at all in any form. The pb&j latte was the worst and for whatever reason there's a bunch of peanut chunks at the bottom of the cup as well. Not impressed and wasted a lot of money only to like one item. I would absolutely order that panini again though which is what the two stars are for. I did forget to mention that the girl who helped me out was extremely friendly and informative though. When I visited, I talked with the new owner and she was very sweet and kind and answered all my questions regarding their new business! The decor is cute and modern, it is the perfect place to stop for lunch or just to hang out in a nice cozy spot. At that time, I ordered a turkey, bacon, swiss melt panini and a white chocolate macadamia cookie. Both of which are my two favorite things to order from there and have had at least a few times already since my last visit in July! The cookie is as sweet and soft as I remember! Oh man this is a great local, hole in the wall cafe. They serve sandwiches, salads and wraps. Even soups. The oatmeal cookie oats are amazing! I had the roast beef au jus and the pastrami and they were excellent. And the cookies are super good. Moist and tasty, each flavor is better than the next, you can't stop at just one. I work relatively close to here and wanted to give it a shot bc I'm a sucker for soup and a sandwich. I loved that the had a large cookie collection and actually ordered two, chocolate chip w/peanut butter and rocky road. Unfortunately they forgot to put in one of my cookies but I called and they said I could pick it up tomorrow. The tuna melt was really great seems to be panini pressed. As for the soup I think it was also good just wished it was hot and not like warm. It came with croutons which was cool. Anyway the soup, tuna melt, and two cookies cost be 23.99. Compared to another sandwich shop in Riverside it was hefty but it definitely was because the 2 cookies were gourmet. The cookies at the other shop are standard chocolate chip 2 for 1.95.
