There's a definite vibe when entering and you can smell all the delicious fragrances! Youre warmly greeted by the staff when walking in. Parking is limited but lots of parking in the neighborhood and it was nice to have a walk before getting lunch. I went with the power plant sandwich and got a brownie too. The brownie was moist and super sweet while I enjoyed the mixture of guac., hummus, and mushroom in my sandwich. I was so excited to see that Cheba Hut is near Fox Theater in Riverside. If you are going to a show there or going to a concert at the Municipal auditorium, Cheba hut is so so close! This place is by far one of my favorite sandwich places, albeit a little on the pricier side for sandwiches. BUT they use so many fresh ingredients that the prices make sense. As a vegetarian, I am always on the lookout for a sandwich that is not just tomato, onion and lettuce. The Griefo is by far my favorite sub to get here. My husband, who is not vegetarian, loves the teriyaki chicken sandwich. Will definitely be back to try other options the next time we're trying to catch a show in riverside. The parking can be a little annoying, there's a lot nearby that fills up quickly because of the shows and can be a nightmare to get out of if you go get sandwiches around the time the show is ending. You won't catch me ordering one without meat, lol, but the options are available! There are multiple size options; nug (small), pinner (med), & blunt (quite large), and multiple bread choices; white, wheat, & garlic. I usually bounce between the "Midwest Best", the "Chiesel" (add ham & bacon), and the "Five-O". We've tried almost all of the sandwiches so far. Always on garlic bread for us. You can choose from a number of chip options to accompany your sandwich. If you do like we do, add an order of pretzel nuggets (comes w/honey mustard, but do yourself a favor and add a side of jalapeno cream cheese, too), the not'chos, or the garlic cheese bread (add regular cream cheese, you'll thank me for it!). Don't be afraid to customize your order, they appreciate an imagination . Remember to check out the baked goodies at the order counter. The rice crispy treats are perfection, the gooballs are sinful, and holy wow, when the season is right, get the lemon blueberry cookie! The service is always friendly and timely, whether you eat there or to go. Order a regular drink up front with your food, or hit the full bar in the back. The "Hash Can" is my go-to if it's not too late (has a full redbull w/flavor choices). Otherwise, I lean toward the "Ms. Parker" or the "Buzzed Bong Water". Coworker took me here for an out of office lunch. Really unique and fun menu of hot and cold sandwiches with unique names. I had the bacon chicken ranch sandwich and it was superb! Really soft toasty bread and melted cheese with lots of flavor. My coworker had the spicy version of my sandwich. Cute spot with whimsy decor, when you walk in it just feels fun! The worker that assisted me was really nice and gave a great recommendation. I opted for an 8" The Kind on white bread. It was a good sandwich but not game changing. The bread had a chewiness to it that I actually really enjoyed, like it is a more wet dough than traditional sandwich bread. I think they make their own pickles and while there was a good crunch they did lack a good tang one expects from a pickle. The sandwich while good seemed to be overpriced for what you get. I paid $16.60 including tax/tip and for an 8" it did seem small. The bar service here sucks. Their bartender (short girl, dark hair, probably a manager judging by her condescending tone) could use some basic customer service training. I came here with friends to eat and we ordered modelos from the tap, which we all felt were kind of flat. I went and kindly pointed that out to her that the beers might be flat, just a friendly tip because I feel that might be helpful to know. She got all offended and started grilling me on which one, how flat, implied that I was lying by having me wait while she called some of her staff over to test the beers in front of me, like I was on trial for perjury or something. I was mortified and had to call my friend over to come corroborate my story. Her tone was so rude and accusatory that I just left the restaurant without my card and had my friend close my tab out for me. Basic tip: customers don't really give two hoots how you get your backend crap done. There's no reason to do a QC in front of a customer or have them hang around while you try to prove them wrong. It wasn't like I was asking for a refund or anything, I was actually there to order a second round but so humiliated that I wound up leaving in tears. This place was already overpriced with ugly decor but now I refuse to ever set foot there or order from them again, which sucks because their sandwiches were decent but the entire experience, after being a loyal customer for years now, left a terrible taste in my mouth. Best subs in the Inland Empire!!!! The subs here smoke all other subs by a mile!!!!! The sandwiches are delicious and I would rate them a 10/10 and they also have KoolAide soda fountains!!!!!!!! It looks as if it's a takeout only but there's also a restaurant portion, so you would have to get lucky and sit at the bar in order to get your food order and drink order taken, and if the bar is full, you have to find your way into the bar area get the bartenders attention, and then order and then sit at a table. A very "stoner/420" themed place with the sandwich names but this stuff has no thc so don't get scared. Decently quick service with a close by parking lot.
