Stopped in for lunch and overall had a decent experience, though a couple things kept it from being higher than 3 stars for me. I ordered a sandwich and while the flavors were there, it ended up being a bit smaller than I was expecting for the price -- I probably could've gone for a side or added something extra to make it more filling. It also leaned a little on the salty side, more than I'm used to, so it wasn't quite my perfect bite, though I could see it working well for someone who likes bolder, saltier flavors. That said, the service was friendly and the place had a nice, welcoming vibe, which definitely helped balance things out. It's clear they care about what they're putting out, and I'd still be open to giving it another shot -- maybe trying a different sandwich or asking for the seasoning on the lighter side next time. Not a bad spot overall, just a few small tweaks away from being a favorite for me
Stopped by this spot near Riverside Plaza for a post-hike brunch, and it was a great find for a casual weekend bite! The service added a welcoming touch right from the start. The cashier taking orders in the front was friendly and helpful, and after placing your order at the counter, they conveniently hand-deliver it right to your table. I ordered the caprese cold sandwich, and it was exceptionally clean, fresh, and vibrant--the ideal light meal after being out on the trail. My husband went with the pastrami melt from the hot sandwich menu. Flavor-wise, it's quite good, but because it was our first meal of the day, he found that eating about half of it felt a bit too heavy and slightly greasy for brunch. Overall, the quality is there, and the atmosphere makes it an easy choice to return. We are definitely planning to come back to try out some different items on the menu next time!
We had such a great experience at Crust, Toast & Sandwich in Riverside! We ordered the California Melt, but since we don't eat meat, we asked if they could substitute the turkey and avocado for tuna. We were a little hesitant to ask because not every place is willing to make custom substitutions, especially since they already have a cold tuna sandwich on the menu. We wanted a hot tuna melt, and they happily accommodated our request without any hesitation. That level of customer service really stood out. The sandwich was absolutely worth it--I would recommend it 100%! It had the perfect kick from the sriracha aioli, a generous amount of tuna, and the pickled onions added so much flavor. Everything came together perfectly. We also ordered the Basil Pomodoro after one of the staff members recommended it, mentioning that it's one of their most popular items. They definitely didn't steer us wrong! It was incredible, and honestly, I'd order it over and over again. The creamy stracciatella cheese (a lighter, creamier version of burrata) paired perfectly with the sundried tomatoes and basil. If we hadn't already ordered the California Melt, we probably would have gotten a second Basil Pomodoro because it was that good. For drinks, we tried the Iced Strawberry Matcha, which came with strawberry purée at the bottom and strawberry cold foam on top. I'd easily give it a 9/10--it was refreshing and delicious. We also had a regular coffee, and that was excellent as well. The staff were amazing from start to finish. They took the time to answer all of our questions, helped us decide what to order, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Great food, great drinks, and even better customer service. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!
I didn't even know about this place. They sell delicious warm and cold sandwiches. They also have all kinds of coffee drinks. I like to call in an order and just pick it up when I'm in a rush for work to go to work. Friendly customer service is a must for me. Pleasant outdoor area on a nice early morning breakfast date with your Bestie! I recommend crust toast and sandwich!
Whoa where have I been this place has been around for a few months and finally getting in for visit. Initially saw the crust coffee stand in the middle of riverside central. Staff were welcoming and informative as it was a first visit. The coffee station is in the center of this hub. Cute window pick up. Can pay at the crust toast register inside and pick up drink at the coffee bar. Espresso was great! Bold and flavorful.
New place great great delicious food. We got a business coupon by mail and it was the opportunity to try it out. Well we were not disappointed. We had two of their sandwiches Southwest & Red Rancher delicious. We will definitely come back. I will let my coworkers know about this place for lunch. Service was really good, quick and friendly. One girl making coffees outside but she also takes care of the inside for orders. Clean place, not cluster which I love.
First impression was how beautiful this little place was! Plenty of parking when you get here and no parking fee! Coffee and sandwich place was separate in case you just want coffee it will be outside and all the breakfast items were inside the shop. Customer service was amazing and top notch! They would come check up on you multiple times and were attentive! Food is soooooo goood! I got the grilled cheese with tomato soup and chips! My boyfriend got the bacon and cheddar breakfast sandwich! It was the two best recommendations we got from our cashier who was the girl with blonde hair. So sweet! Food came quick and fresh! Manager or owner in the flannel was also very kind and attentive! Will come here again on the next time I'm in California!

I arrived at 9:00am and ordered my the Loaded Grill Cheese $13.99 and added a cup of Tomato Basil Soup for $4.99. There's plenty outside seating and parking. There's even two handicapped parking spaces available. My order was ready in 5 mins and took it to go. While I was in my car driving I took a bite of the Loaded Grill Cheese Sandwich and I knew at that moment I would order it again and again. Once I got home I dipped my sandwich in the tomato basil soup which was so delicious. There's also a coffee bar outside where you can order your hot/cold coffee drinks. I'll definitely be back to this spot sooner than later.
I saw a friend post on their story about this place. So hubby and I definitely needed to try it. I didn't get to see the restaurant but my hubby said it was very nice and clean. There's a little seating area but more seating outside. I ordered the turkey club combo. I picked their house made chips which were perfectly fried and salted by the way!! The sandwich was PERFECT. From the sourdough, to the turkey and all the fixings. Love that they use arugula! Service was awesome per my hubby. He said everyone was nice. Will definitely be coming back!
We waited close to an hour for the food to be prepared. It was Sunday and it was college move in day so not sure if it was unusually high volume for them or not. Had the food been extraordinarily great for the price, the wait time would more than make up for it. However, the food was very mid level at best. My daughter got the French toast and she was very disappointed with the amount of whip cream and fruits given. The whip cream barely fills the small black container and fruits were very dismal. Try this place! Brought my daughter here because I was at RMC and had an hour wait for an appt. She had the strawberry Macha, Caprese Crunch. I had the Patrami Breakfast sandwich and a reg Macha. My daughter loved it, I also thought the food was great. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Every time I go (I work nearby) I get something new, and the pastrami pepperjack is my fave so far. It's technically a breakfast sandwich but it doesn't really feel like it. It was very busy, I went at 12:30 on a Thursday. Only waited 15 minutes total and all my food was hot and fresh. Service and hospitality was great, as usual.
I've been eyeing this place through DoorDash and thought I'd try their sandwiches since it's near my workplace. This is a hidden gem on Central Avenue - ample parking in the back and you are greeted with a nice little patio with a coffee bar and you order your food inside. I had the egg bacon and cheddar cheese, breakfast sandwich and it was fabulous. They did not scrimp on the bacon, and the bread was beautifully toasted. You can taste - smell the good quality of the food. It was delish & for sure will be back again! read more

Delicious food, fresh ingredients!! An absolute local must. The owner was very nice as were the ladies helping us! The place is cute, a little small on the inside but they have plenty of patio seating. I got the veggie sandwich and it hit the spot, perfect amount, perfect flavor! It would be 5-star if they had more covered seating but I understand location may not give them that option. But oh man the food and drinks were great. We had breakfast and then immediately ordered more for 2nd breakfast. I have a favorite now and so does my wife. The staff was friendly and the chef even came out to ask our feelings. Let me guide you. We had the Sweet Heat Toast but since I don't like onions or jalapeños, they split the toast in half for us. We also had the Loaded Grilled Cheese which was perfectly toasted and cheesy-gooey as well. 2nd Breakfast was the Peanut Butter Picnic Toast which was divine, my wifes favorite, and perfectly pairs well with the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Iced Coffee. And I had the Pastrami & Pepperjack Breakfast Sandwich which was amazing and best part was the folded egg was still hot at last bite. This was my favorite. My wife had the Orange Blossom Iced Coffee and loved it. Really looking forward to going back with family so they can be in love as well! read more

Right next to the Central Plaza in Riverside! Decided to stop by and try Crust. It wasn't too busy when we went and the staff were helpful with delicious recommendations. We ordered two Chicken Capreses as a result. The sandwiches were quite good with meals that came with homemade potato chips. There was a lot of seating space outside-along with a cute little espresso hut. Its one caveat was the prices-around $15 per sandwich along with an additional few more for the meals. I would recommend to anyone in the area, maybe not for the most cost-friendly restaurant though. read more
Cute little cafe that offers assorted toasts, sandwiches, and coffees! We got the sweet heat toast, caprese crunch, chicken caprese sando, matcha latte, and dirty chai. I would definitely recommend the dirty chai - the flavor was rich with cinnamon spices and not too milky. Oh wow.....this place is amazing. Top notch service and food and drinks! It's been awhile since I've written a review l, but this place deserves it. Tried the loaded grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque soup. I love to eat and this combo brought a big smile on my face. The banana honey latte was tasty and refreshing too! The Cap sandwich was soo good! It had a lot of flavor in the sandwich, perfectly seasoned. I tried the banana honey latte and was impressed with the flavor as well, the cold foam was a nice thick consistency, which I like, I also like when you can tell there's ingredients in the foam. Like you can see vanilla specs or cinnamon. read more
HIDDEN GEM ALERT ! This place is tucked away across from the plaza and WOW ! They really put a lot of thought into their food ... the bread is from the Village in CALIMESA and it truly makes these sandwiches top notch ( besides the portion sizes and fresh ingredients )! Service was very friendly and fast ! There isn't a lot of seating so just be prepared top may need to take it to go . I loved the peanut butter picnic as well as the loaded grilled cheese with tomato soup ! I was so happy to see they had coffee and the dirty chai was spectacular ! read more

Everyone was SO nice and the food was absolutely delicious, I got the bacon cheddar with bacon added on and it was sooo good. I got a honey banana latte as well and it was so yummy and the girl helping me was extremely nice and people came to check in multiple times to see if I needed anything! Super sweet! Only one table inside but good outdoor seating just super hot in the summer but can't control the weather :) definitely will be coming back!! read more

Came here for the first time ever and the sandwich was delicious! Everything tastes so fresh, I got the turkey club sandwich with toasted sourdough and pepper jack cheese! 10/10! Staff were really nice and friendly. Will def be coming back. :) read more

Came here on a whim looking for a breakfast sandwich and this place did not disappoint! The place is cute, clean, and has shaded patio seating. The staff member that helped me (I believe he was the owner) was very helpful and helped me pick a delicious coffee - the banana iced latte, which was so delicious! I also got the pesto and feta egg sandwich. It was delicious and my favorite part was the bread. Will be back! read more
