This is a hidden gem on Central Avenue - ample parking in the back and you are greeted with a nice little patio with a coffee bar and you order your food inside. I had the egg bacon and cheddar cheese, breakfast sandwich and it was fabulous. They did not scrimp on the bacon, and the bread was beautifully toasted. It would be 5-star if they had more covered seating but I understand location may not give them that option. But oh man the food and drinks were great. We had breakfast and then immediately ordered more for 2nd breakfast. I have a favorite now and so does my wife. The staff was friendly and the chef even came out to ask our feelings. Let me guide you. We had the Sweet Heat Toast but since I don't like onions or jalapeños, they split the toast in half for us. We also had the Loaded Grilled Cheese which was perfectly toasted and cheesy-gooey as well. 2nd Breakfast was the Peanut Butter Picnic Toast which was divine, my wifes favorite, and perfectly pairs well with the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Iced Coffee. And I had the Pastrami & Pepperjack Breakfast Sandwich which was amazing and best part was the folded egg was still hot at last bite. This was my favorite. Stopped in for lunch and overall had a decent experience, though a couple things kept it from being higher than 3 stars for me. We had such a great experience at Crust, Toast & Sandwich in Riverside! We ordered the California Melt, but since we don't eat meat, we asked if they could substitute the turkey and avocado for tuna. We were a little hesitant to ask because not every place is willing to make custom substitutions, especially since they already have a cold tuna sandwich on the menu. We wanted a hot tuna melt, and they happily accommodated our request without any hesitation. That level of customer service really stood out. The sandwich was absolutely worth it--I would recommend it 100%! It had the perfect kick from the sriracha aioli, a generous amount of tuna, and the pickled onions added so much flavor. Everything came together perfectly. We also ordered the Basil Pomodoro after one of the staff members recommended it, mentioning that it's one of their most popular items. They definitely didn't steer us wrong! It was incredible, and honestly, I'd order it over and over again. The creamy stracciatella cheese (a lighter, creamier version of burrata) paired perfectly with the sundried tomatoes and basil. If we hadn't already ordered the California Melt, we probably would have gotten a second Basil Pomodoro because it was that good. For drinks, we tried the Iced Strawberry Matcha, which came with strawberry purée at the bottom and strawberry cold foam on top. I'd easily give it a 9/10--it was refreshing and delicious. We also had a regular coffee, and that was excellent as well. The staff were amazing from start to finish. They took the time to answer all of our questions, helped us decide what to order, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Great food, great drinks, and even better customer service. This place is a GEM!! Was looking for a quick breakfast and this spot came up -I actually pass this plaza frequently and finally went in last week and omg I would eat here every day if could!!! Staff were welcoming and informative as it was a first visit. The coffee station is in the center of this hub. Cute window pick up. I arrived at 9:00am and ordered my the Loaded Grill Cheese $13.99 and added a cup of Tomato Basil Soup for $4.99. There's plenty outside seating and parking. There's even two handicapped parking spaces available. My order was ready in 5 mins and took it to go. While I was in my car driving I took a bite of the Loaded Grill Cheese Sandwich and I knew at that moment I would order it again and again. Once I got home I dipped my sandwich in the tomato basil soup which was so delicious. There's also a coffee bar outside where you can order your hot/cold coffee drinks. I saw a friend post on their story about this place. So hubby and I definitely needed to try it. I didn't get to see the restaurant but my hubby said it was very nice and clean. Right next to the Central Plaza in Riverside! Decided to stop by and try Crust. It wasn't too busy when we went and the staff were helpful with delicious recommendations. We ordered two Chicken Capreses as a result. The sandwiches were quite good with meals that came with homemade potato chips. There was a lot of seating space outside-along with a cute little espresso hut. Its one caveat was the prices-around $15 per sandwich along with an additional few more for the meals.
