Stopped by Carberry Pizza in Munising: part bar, part pizzeria. Service was okay, nothing special, but not bad either. Surprisingly, the bathroom was super clean for a bar, which stood out, especially since the rest of the restaurant didn't quite match in terms of cleanliness. Tried the Margherita and Chicken Pesto pizzas. Both were pretty average, maybe leaning below nothing memorable in terms of flavor or freshness. Definitely felt more like bar food than a true pizza spot. Not sure I'd go back unless options were limited. Just kind of a meh experience overall. read more

We were here 2 years ago and it was pretty good for what it is........patio pizza in an outdoor oven with very minimal overhead, service and space. Came here tonight again because the "other wood fire pizza place" was extremely busy, and we ended up ordering the same thing as last time. The price is way up and the size of these pizzas shrunk and is a freakin joke. I've never had a 7 1/2 inch pizza for $13.00. The mushroom and artichoke had 1 mushroom sliced thin to cover and no more than one little artichoke cut up. Not to mention raw flour taste on bottom of crust. Better hope the tourists keep coming, because no locals are going to support this establishment anymore. I know this is supposed to be "artisan" pizza , but jeezus, do yourself a favor and walk a block or two and get a real pizza and not go hungry eating this !!! I wouldn't even expect this in downtown Chicago at a real restaurant!!! Without a change, this place will NOT be open much longer......just sayin!!!) read more

While sitting at the East Channel Brewery we decided we needed food and this little hidden pizza bar was right next door! It's a cash only endeavor but that was fine with me! I was hesitant when they recommended the Savory Blueberry pizza as one of their most popular but i tried it and WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! We also had the Margarita Pizza which was also delicious, i was really impressed! The best part is we were sitting in the bar and they brought our pizza to us! Munising is a quaint little town and this pizza has to be some of the best in town! The best part is they're attached to a Brewery!!! Definitely stop in and give them a try! read more

Clever wood fired pizza recipes. Loved that they had cauliflower crust alternative available for gluten free diners. Super friendly & fast service. I tried the blueberry sweet & savory and was pleasantly surprised. Restaurant is not on main drag so easily overlooked but seems like a local favorite instead of typical tourist traps. read more

A must stop in Munising! Great wood fired pizza. Quick - great fresh ingredients. VERY creative pizza toppings. We had the savory blueberry (which initially wasn't on board with) and was so happy we did. Fantastic flavor profile, done very well - so good we went back the next night! They deliver to the brew bar next door where you can get a great selection of local East Channel beers. Both are VERY reasonably priced. Happy to find this spot!!! read more

Savory blueberry pizza?!? YES!!! Thin crust (so you don't feel over stuffed), 9 inch pizza with cheese, bacon, ham, onions, just the right amount of blue cheese (so that you wonder if it is there and check the ingredients, i.e. not overpowering) with blueberries, balsamic glaze and basil on top. The entire pizza is then cooked and WOW! What a treat for the tastebuds! Many other pizza choices available. Eat outside at the CCP side or have your pizza brought into the bar next door. We had the meat lovers pizza and the pizza with the blueberry drizzle and WOW! Both pizzas were excellent, but the one with the blueberry was fantastic! It seems like a really strange combination but to whoever came up with that idea, kudos! The service was great and the person at the counter chatted with us about visiting a lighthouse we hadn't heard about, since we were visiting from way out of town. The pizza is baked in a smaller oven and the entire place is attached to the outside of the bar next door. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of our pizzas unfortunately, but suffice it to say I'd highly recommend this place! read more

A little hole in the wall place to order pizza. I thought the pizza was good, but don't make any substitution requests, because they don't do any. The mistake I made was not ordering a build your own, which I would have done had I seen that earlier. All I wanted was to eliminate the onions on their famous blueberry Pizza, but that apparently wasn't allowed. read more

Wonderful flavor combinations of pizza in a casual, local setting. Very reasonably priced and you can take it next door to the brewery and share both together. Ordering is a tad confusing but once you know, it's easy-- pizza to the left/beer to the right (and you can go anywhere with both). We ate it too quickly for a picture!!! Sooo good read more

I don't know if its because I was pumped for the backpacking trip my buddies and I were about to embark on, but this pizza is easily one of my top 3 favorite pizzas. They are only open a few hours, next to bar/brewery, but man is it good. Each of friends got a different one but I think the one we all LOVED was the fig and ham one (i think it was ham). The pizza is a personal size pizza but it isn't TOO much or TOO litte, its the size of a paper plate and that is perfect. If you're still hungry, the place next door serves some great beer. I honestly look forward to the next time im in the area to come here again. Very low key spot but very much worth it. I really encourage others to come check this out. read more

We ate at this place when we were staying at Munising while visiting Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan. This is a cute little pizza place that offers freshly baked warm wood fired pizzas. The portion size is pretty good - each pizza is enough for one person. They also have a brewery next door. We ordered the veggie and the margherita pizzas. The overall taste was pretty good. Just tried the blueberry, fig & pig, artichoke mushroom added bacon pizzas. Oh my so so good. Our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE hands down the Fig & Pig. The outdoor fire roasted pizza is a wonderful find. Wood smoke and the smell of the ingredients we're making our mouths water. Highly recommend this place and will be back. The ladies working the oven are really sweet and a joy to talk with. Husband says it hit the spot. So good he even forgot about his chigger bites for a while. Everything else In Munising seemed to be closed on Wednesday and we found this place by accident. Have been coming up here my whole life and can't believe they said they have been around for 13 years, just moved locations. A hidden gem to be sure. read more

Wood-fired pizza served on a paper plate with a fabulous Neapolitan thin crust. My friend and I ordered the cheese and a margherita. The crust is really good. The red sauce is really bland. The pizzas are reasonably priced and it is important to know the place is cash only. The pizza place is next to a brewery, which is smart and convenient for both places. I loooved the savory blueberry with ham. It brought me back alive. The crush was a hair singed, but that is to be expected with stone -fired pizzas. It was flaky. There are not many a food choices in Munising. We saw the wood fired pizza sign so we decided to give them a try. The pizza had a lot of toppings. The crust was burnt on the edges and on the bottom. I understand it's wood fired so the heat can get the crust a little but the bottom of the crust seemed like it may have been put in already burnt pieces from other pizzas. Not sure but the burnt pieces on bottom of the crust were not good for us. read more

This was a wonderful place. Unique pizza menu with wood fired crusts. We had the blueberry pizza, the meatloaves and the margarita pizza. We lived them all. Some had the gluten free crust and it was one of the best we had ever had. The service was quick and accommodating.
