The dirty rice was packed with flavor, the potato salad was creamy and homemade, the lemon pepper corn was seasoned perfectly, and the fried okra was crispy and addictive. And while it's not pictured, don't skip the blue lemonade--it's refreshing and the perfect complement to the meal. What really ties everything together is the customer service. Every visit has been met with friendly, welcoming staff who make you feel appreciated from the moment you walk in. If you're in the Wake Forest area and looking for amazing soul food, Fatboy's Food Shack is a hidden gem that's absolutely worth the visit. Apparently, Maryland blue crabs are hard to come by and find around Raleigh. In steps Earps and so glad I discovered them. Had the best experience buying crabs from Earps! The selection was fresh mixed male and females crabs that you choose and can self-serve (pack) yourself or have them packaged for you. In addition, there is a wide selection of fresh fish and shellfish to choose from; including shrimp, scallops, clams and oysters. Forget high supermarket prices for frozen seafood.
