The food is great. HOWEVER: Terrible waitress! Her name is Serenity. Young girl. This is the 2nd time I've had her and both experiences have been bad. The 1st time, she didn't write the order down and brought me the wrong side dish. I told her it wasn't what I ordered, she insisted it was. I let it go, but wish I hadn't. It was 1 of those side dishes that costs extra. This time, she got the order correct, but didn't bring out the soup until I flagged her down and requested it. By the time I got it, the soup was cold and dinner was served nearly at the same time. Pointless. I never want her again. read more

Love love love this spot. But! The mash potatoes and Mac and cheese just missed for me this time around unfortunately The Mac was definitely old and/or overcooked. The mash was bland and the gravy needed butter and salt. Besides that the chicken tenders never miss for the price, and the service is always amazing. Had breakfast for dinner there tonight and everything was horrible, could not cut the pancakes with my fork and the bacon, ham and sausage were lousy And the over easy eggs were way overcooked. I really don't write reviews on chain restaurants I will make an exception for this one though. After having an okay meal at a restaurant last night that was not very flavorful. I decided to just go to Crackers Barrel. And decide just to get breakfast at dinner time. I got the Old Timers breakfast two eggs over easy hash brown casserole and the impossible sausage and of course two biscuits. The food was right on point and tasted fresh and tasty. Waitress hailey has very alternative and did a wonderful job. The Manager Savannah was top notch was one of the most Friendliest Managers I have ever met in a Restaurant of any kind. She took her time and talked to us not only asked us about our meal she asked us where we were from. We asked her about her tattoos what a story she is bar none one of the best in the business. I would not only eat here again if I'm ever in the area again. I would tell you the same thing don't miss this gem of a staff. It's not only the good food and of course the ambience of the Cracker Barrel restaurant but most of all the exceptional staff. I ordered this and it is so sad. Cracker Barrel used to be known for its fried catfish, but this fish was bad. Not only did it look as is they lightly coated it and dipped it in grease and immediately removed it, but the fish was bad. I assumed that it was probably frozen for an indefinite period of time. Stopped in during a road trip and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere at a rare time in which they were not crowded. Wolfe, our server, took great care of us and did a great job. Sage, another server, saw me looking around when our server was away and came to see how she could help regarding another matter and was very nice. The staff in general were very upbeat and pleasant. Food, I opted for a breakfast favorite and they did not disappoint. I always enjoy their pancakes and breakfast menu. Next time we are out that way I will stop back in. Stopped in with my family for lunch on our way to Pennsylvania from Charlotte, NC. Hannah was our server and went above and beyond to be sure our lunch was served in a timely manner, especially with a 5 year old. She even got extra pickles and lemons to keep him occupied while we were waiting on our order. The Turkey and Dressing was delicious! After lunch, I had the pleasure of meeting Janet in the shopping area. Being originally from WV, I was interested in WVU apparel. I lucked out and found a great lightweight hoodie for 50% off. Food was disgusting. I have eaten at a Cracker Barrel all over the country and usually place the same order - Country Fried Steak and Hashbrown Casserole. This was the most disgusting meal I've ever had at a CB. The "steak" could have been cut out of an old boot for all I know. Maybe a piece of boot leader would have tasted better? The hashbrown was so bland it could have been run under a faucet prior to it being served. This experience has probably ruined me from ever visiting another Cracker Barrel, ever. read more

Definitely going downhill. On a recent THU late afternoon, my wife and I went for dinner. I got the meat loaf and she the chicken tenders. When they arrived, my plate was swimming in liquid and the veggies were soaked in it. The meatloaf was barely cooked, and the inside was just warm. I ate maybe half of it. My wife's chicken tenders were room temperature and soft. Only reason for two stars is the server was very helpful and the biscuits were actually warm. We have been attending Cracker Barrell since it's opening, many moons ago! When the fish fry started, it was all you could eat. That's how long ago it was. I also want to add, since their inception we have never, ever had a complaint or filed a complaint. Always the food was good and the waitresses were quick and efficient. The grits, are another story. They have always made terrible grits, but we never complained because the biscuits were good. We hadn't been in for three or four months and decided Wednesday morning to go for breakfast. My husband ordered his usual "The Oldtimers Breakfast" and I ordered pancakes, egg and bacon. We were both shocked when they brought out breakfast as it was so small and the sausage was overcooked, and about three teaspoons of potatoes. It barely covered the middle of the plate. The grits were their normal selves, and looked like thick rice pudding. Terrible representation of Southern grits! My pancakes were very thin and I was served one tiny, black plastic container of maple syrup. Used to be in little bottles, with Cracker Barrels label on it and it was actually heated and labeled "Real Maple Syrup." Nobody likes thin, flat pancakes! If they wonder why local people won't be "stopping by" any more, perhaps they had better look to their menu change and actual breakfast ingredients. Absolutely terrible. read more

Not sure what happened to this location but it's a disappointment. I was able to get a seat quick (probably for a reason). The waitress was nice but very intermittent on coming back to the table. The food took a very long time to arrive and then it was a huge disappointment. Other people in my party had cold food. My food was warm but subpar. This location used to be the go to "back in the day" but now it's a restaurant I'll avoid. When in doubt...leave it out. read more

Does not take reservations because dumb people that dont show up. So now this is what the manager is saying after after we'd talked to another manager three days earlier, that said they would be ready for my party of ten. They ducked around and said i couldn't have the tables they showed me until all the birthday people are here. Well its a suprize b-day party, we need the table to set up and get ready! Well needless to say the managers "rules" ruined the surprise and I'll never eat here again nor will I EVER PLAN A PARTY! Service was great, the waitress was great and the food was okay. Came with 11 people and we were forced to use separate tables. The hostess said it was due to a fire hazard. Then we asked to be moved to we're I would accommodate the group. The manager came over and said that due to COVID they stopped moving tables and they are not willing to due it anymore. So what is it COVID, fire hazard or what I'm guessing is that they just don't want to be accommodating to larger groups. Came here about a year and half ago and had a group of 10 and there was no issues with moving tables. So what is the issue. My son girlfriend family came out here and we are just trying to have a breakfast before they fly back to California and enjoy them. Guess this location just is unwilling to help facilitate this. Maybe new management is needed. On the other hand Hanna is great and took care of us. Sad that the staff is great but management sucks. read more

The quality and taste has gone down over the past few years. This used to be a go to spot for our family, but after 2 bad experiences in a row we haven't been there in over a year. The food just wasn't fresh and came out cold and the fried chicken is nasty. The coating wasn't crispy just hard and in sone places drenched in grease. Was seated quickly on a busy Sunday and promptly greeted by a very nice waitress. We opted for the Sunday special of pot roast which was a suggestion from our waitress, very good suggestion indeed, it was amazing. The other meal was the country fried steak with dumplings and squash casserole as the sides... both were great. Good and honest food, great selection, normally above average service. But the way the management interacts with customers is truly outstanding! We are empty nesters, travel about in a small (23.7 ft) motor home. Completely self contained, we "boon-dock" by pulling off the road at dusk, stay about anywhere, gone the next morning. If I could give this restaurant no stars, I would. I ordered the onion maple bacon burger, cooked medium, with broccoli as a side. My burger was so overcooked a crematorium would be jealous. The bacon was burned and covered in grease. The bun was soggy and tasted stale. After the disgusting single bite of burned burger I decided to try my broccoli. The broccoli was raw and burnt at the same time, and tasted as if it had come out of the trash. A swine would turn away from this meal. On the other side of the table, my fiance ordered the ribeye, cooked medium. His bloody mess of cow was just as bad. Undercooked and clearly pan fried with all the butter they could find. His side was a baked potato and a salad. The salad was too large to be called a side, and the potato was as undercooked as if it had just come out of the ground. Hands down the worst cracker barrel we have been to. Upon arriving we were told the wait would be 20-25 minutes but we waited almost 40 minutes for a table. Our waitress was..um..really really bad. Maybe she had an off day? She forgot our items 4 times, we had to keep asking her for the items every time we saw her..which was very infrequently. Actually she came and checked on us when we were almost finished with our meal and after we asked the food runner for our food. Food was pretty bad. I asked them to cook the burger medium, it was so dry..look at the pictures it was suppose to be medium. The bread on my child's burger was stale and her burger meat was also dry. We had been on the road for over 6 hours and were famished, but even then our hunger couldn't disguise the bad food and terrible waitress. We were in a hurry to get back on the road so we scarfed down our food but our waitress was MIA and we wasted time having to flag her down for the check. We would not visit this Cracker Barrel again, we have eaten at plenty in NJ and PA and never had an experience like this. Super slow service, stale food..we timed it, from the time we put our name in for a table to the time we left it was 1 hour and 57 minutes. Almost 2 hours, that's ridiculous. read more

We had a very good luncheon here today. Wife had the reuben sandwich, with side salad and cole slaw. She enjoyed it enormously. It had quite a bit of corned beef, and was tastey (I had two bites). I asked about the beef brisket. On a special they had an open sandwich on garlic toast. I asked if they had a "platter" and they said, yes, it was "off menu" but they could fix it with two sides, so I ordered brisket, side salad, and cabbage. They brought the sandwich with cole slaw (not my waitress, another server). I said that I ordered the platter and not the sandwich, and the server insisted it wasn't on the menu and that is what was available because everything was portioned out, yadda yadda. Then the regularly assigned waitress came by and realizing what was going on, offered to take it up to the manager. I commented that whenever I have asked for a modification, the restaurant can make it happen. She said she'd do what she could. The manager came over and apologized and said, yes they can fix a platter and it was brought out soon thereafter. The waitress also apologized for any mixup. I was OK with all of that, but a bit surprized that the first server (delivery person) made such a big deal out of it. In any event, we had a good experience overall and would return. I also gave the regular waitress a decent tip for her efforts and kindness in making the situation right when really what's the big deal! read more

I got a $50 gift card for this restaurant and wanted to order dinner for me and my family. How ever the menu is not great not very many choices and when it came time to pay, their website only excepts credit cards. So I thought I'll call and order. The lady on the phone explained it's dumb that the website doesn't allow use of gift cards and to purchase I would have to come to the location and wait 30-40 minutes until my food was ready. I told her that was unacceptable and hung up. I will regift the gift card to someone else. This place lost a customer forever. I decided to give another try and I am glad I did the portions where huge and the food full of flavor. You have a new customer. read more

Visited this location during a road trip. Service was fast and friendly. Lance was our waiter and was right on top of our every need. I think all cracker barrel locations have good food, so this stop was no different. I enjoyed my meal. The only thing was, the location isn't right off I81, (eventhough you can see it from 81)its in the back a little ways and there needs to be better signage. (That is definitely no the fault of CB) i would definately return. read more
