    BLTA Benedict and Country Skillet
    Lindsay B.

Cozy little breakfast nook. Very good food and service. I got the blta Benedict. Everything was very fresh. Husband got the country skillet. Both were good. Recommend if you're in the area for a quick breakfast. Parking is right across the street.

The food was ok (we had the country skillet and strawberry, banana, and Nutella French toast) and the service was ok as well. My daughters had the hot chocolate, they did enjoy that.

My new go-to breakfast place! Discovered it three days ago & went twice in three days. Unassuming and kind of hidden in a residential neighborhood, but with their own large parking lot across the street. Silvana my waitress was delightful and accommodated my request for hot milk for my coffee. (Some servers roll their eyes at other places.) I ordered the same thing both times, the Country Skillet, with over medium eggs & rye toast. The dish is a classic and expertly prepared. It is so good that I'm gonna drive the 45 minutes tomorrow to go have it again!

Vegetable skillet was great. Blueberry pancake was average- sort of tasted like burnt sausage or some other meat from the griddle. But everything else was great. It's a simple, small diner. Service was a little slow. Went on a weekday morning and there was one waitress. A man sitting next to me got frustrated and left after being ignored by the waitress 3 times - while trying to get her attention. She may not have heard him. I personally didn't have issues with my service. I waited until she wasn't clearly busy before asking for the check. Will go back again- as I really liked the breakfast item selection/options. May have been an off day.

I stopped in here after an appointment in the area and I'm thrilled I did! I ordered ahead and got the timing a little off, and the waitresses were so kind and concerned when I finally arrived, and wanted to make sure I enjoyed my food even though it has been sitting for a bit. I got the veggie skillet, so just heated up the veggies when I got home and re-topped it with the eggs. This might be the best breakfast takeout meal I've ever had. The veggies were delicious, cooked and seasoned perfectly, and covered with just the right amount of cheese. The eggs were fresh and cooked exactly how I like! I'm sad I don't live closer but this will definitely be my go-to spot when I'm in the area.

    Adjusted bill

The quality of food at this establishment was excellent. It was plenteous and delicious. However, the Cafes menu policies need a great deal of improvement. I ordered a veggie omelet for $10.95 (the quoted price) which included toast and a cup of coffee. However, when I got the bill it was for $19.85. When I asked about the extra charges I was told that you could only choose three vegetables for your omelette (which in all honesty WAS stated on their menu). Each additional vegetable was $1.00 each. The waitress never asked me which three vegetables I wanted and just assumed I was paying for all the vegetable choices. Then I was charged $.25 for the toast. It was explained that only certain breads were included. Again, this was never explained by the waitress. In addition, I was charged $.75 for cheese. What omelette comes without cheese? Once more, left out information. To top it all off I was charged an additional amount for using a credit card instead of cash. I have never had a restaurant do this (or any of these things actually) before. It comes across as deceptive and price gouging. My recommendation: find a more honest place to dine. Otherwise make sure you thoroughly read the menu, ask questions and carefully examine your bill if you feel the food is worth it. And by all means make sure you pay cash. As a side note: after complaining about their unethical practices they did adjust my bill somewhat. Still, although the food left a good taste in my mouth their policies did not. For that reason I will not be returning nor will I recommend them to others.

Breakfast combo with eggs over my corned beef hash!

A little on the pricier side for a breakfast spot, but food is decent. Although small, there's plenty of seating.

We walked through the door around 10am and were seated immediately. The waitress quickly got us coffee and gave us a few minutes to figure out our meal. The food was cooked perfectly and I ate it all. I had a plain waffle with the real maple syrup, a western omelette with hash and English muffin. I asked for peanut butter to go with my muffin but they put butter on it. The waitress fixed it immediately without issue. The place was hopping and for good reason. I didn't meet the manager but I want to salute him and the entire staff for how well they did. Great food, great service. I gladly over tipped as it just goes to show you that you don't need to be at a fancy 5-star restaurant to receive excellent service and food. Looking forward to returning. Vic's is in the rotation!

We quickly we seated at a booth and was asked our drink order. The diner was bustling full of people for a Saturday morning breakfast. We ordered the chocolate bacon waffle and and Irish Benedict. I was expecting it to be a heavy waffle, but it was light and airy. The chocolate and bacon was cooked into the waffle and the grooves were filled perfectly with butter and maple syrup. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly runny and the home fries were crisp. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

One guy-- Rosco himself-- running the whole show. -- Pancakes and Sausage: Very large and thick pancakes, so two were more than enough. More importantly, a nice slightly sweet flavor elevated even further by a perfect browning from the griddle. Somewhat but not fully fluffy (my gold standard is Palace Diner in Maine). Real maple syrup available for a $2 surcharge, but a bargain for the large 5oz cup of it. Sausages fairly humdrum, but solid. It's the pancakes that'll get me back. -- Veggie Omelette and Home Fries: This was my wife's order. I'm not sure if it's because she omitted the toast, but it was a gigantic serving with an equally generous portion of the potatoes. She loved the omelette for its unique flavors (some pickled vegetables involved) and the cooked through eggs. I loved the homefries, stealing several and enjoying the crispness and liberal use of seasoning. No onions involved, but very good. Coffee was standard New England Coffee. Tea included a surprise unsolicited refill. Service was outstanding. We came for the food, so it didn't matter either way to us, but for what it's worth, the TV played Newsmax, which may or may not be your cup of tea.
