They seem to be going down hill! I've been going there over the past 4 yrs , Was there this past weekend , service was minimal, food , well where should I start ? Hmmm bacon was not cooked , I asked to have it cooked more , well they took it back and 10 min later I'm still waiting for it so the girl says to the cook what did you do with the bacon I gave you ? they want it crispy , he throws the same uncooked bacon on a plate and has her bring it back to me.Toast was burnt and on top of that the ham and cheese omelette that I ordered well, the ham was burnt ! Home fries potatoes absolutely tasteless! Prices are more than most places! Don't waste your time! I will not be going back there to give them my business again!! read more

We ordered 2 Shamrock Specials ($10.99) and the total came out to $36.00. Can someone explain that math to me? We asked the waitress why we were charged $36.00 and she said, "those menus are old. We've updated our prices since then." I think that is rotten. You should charge the customer what is written on the menu. And there were no newer versions of the menu available. This was my first time trying fitzys with my daughter. The place was small and cozy, the service was great. Everyone was friendly and the food was fresh and came out fast. It was a nice place to go for some quick good priced breakfast. It looked family owned which was always good to see. The dedicated hard work and love they put into running it warms your heart. I had 2 eggs with white toast bacon and home fries. My daughter had French toast with a side of home fries. We definitely will be back to try other things. Hash browns were lightly cooked and bacon a little over cooked. My pancakes was not very delicious, I should've ordered the French toast. When the bill arrived, it was about $6 higher than the table menus. My husband inquired about it and was told the prices went up. My thoughts are why wasn't the menu prices updated? Absolute hands down best breakfast in Lowell... you just can't go wrong. They keep the coffees flowing and the tables turning over. Their breakfast sandwiches are awesome with the eggs runny how I like them. Fitzy's omelette is on the money loaded with shaved steak, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Your best bet is to come in for a big late breakfast and not plan on eating again until around 8:00 at night! Fabulous breakfast! We highly recommend this restaurant. Small place with interesting Irish wall decor. The service was great. We seemed to be the only people at the place who was not local. The breakfast was okay, not bad at all. Very small place no wait you can seat yourself at an available clean table, the staff was very nice and friendly. Tried this place for the first time today. Cute place. Has seating at the bar for 8 people and I think just as many booths. Service was really slow but clientele seemed steady. The food was average. Only real down side was I specifically said no cheese in my omelette but it arrived with cheese. I didn't complain as I was starving. We did check the ticket and it did clearly state no cheese so it was mostly likely just that the cook was slammed and was in a routine. PS... the corn beef hash isn't homemade. read more

Had a gift certificate given to me for Christmas. Ordered food and went to pick up. They would not honor the gift card. Running a scam on his gift cards? Disappointing as I have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed it. I LOVE this place. I had always driven by it, but had never stopped in. It is in a little strip mall on Lawrence street and I had noticed that the parking lot was ALWAYS full. So I decided to stop in there with my 3 year old last year and have been going back ever since. The service is impeccable, it's the owners wife who waits on you and she is always so sweet. The food is to die for. I always end up with the Irish boot. Which is the fitzy's version of the famous boot mill sandwich. My second go to is the old sod which comes with homemade corned beef hash. Delicious! Fitzy's omelette is one of my favs, it's steak and cheese with mushrooms and onions! So good! Their Boot Mill sandwich is great too! My hubby likes their Eggs Benedict. Banana-nut pancakes are also great! Can get very busy at times. Closed on Mondays. Open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday-Friday. Breakfast only on weekends. Seat yourself. read more

I'm shocked at all the great reviews on here. My boyfriend and I went one Saturday morning. We got to sit down fairly quickly, but we waited a good 20 minutes before getting coffee and putting our order. Even worse, a family sat down and ordered after us, and they still got their food before us. The food is mediocre at best--average bacon and our eggs were poorly cooked. 10:00 AM...Called multiple times to place a pick-up order and got a busy signal. 10:45 AM...Walked in to order in person and was told it would 30-minutes. OK, I can understand they are busy. I placed my order for a total of $15.00 and gave a $5.00 tip (33%). Returned 35 minutes later and was told it would be another 15-minutes, they had not even started the order! I was surprised and said "another 15-minutes, it has been over a half hour already" the response was "yup". Clearly, they decided to blow off the take-out orders and prioritize dine-in customers. Again, as a business owner myself, I understand things can get busy. However, I am always honest with my customers up front as to the time frame (under promise, over deliver) and never put off a customer that is there first. I believe this was done as a way to maximize profits. This is a small restaurant with limited seating. Fitzy's decided the faster they serve dine-in customers the faster they turn tables and increase sales. Not cool, my take-out money is just as valuable, if not more valuable as I am paying the same money but not occupying a table, using dishes that must be washed afterward, or using the time of servers (yet I still left a tip for them). It is now lunchtime, 2-hours invested in breakfast is my limit. The result of today's visit to Fitzy's, 2 hours out of my life that I cannot get back, $20.00 out of my pocket, and an empty stomach, that's right, keep the food & the money. Small (7 tables and maybe 8 counter spots) and old, but don't let that fool you. The place was clean and the locals/servers were nice. Service was quick, but only 4 tables were occupied + me. The woman waiting was friendly and the cook Fitzy, was talking with the customers while cooking. I had eggs, hash, red potato homefries and toast with coffee for just under $10.
