Went there for the first time. Have known about the place for decades. Great meal and great service.

The facility was fine. Relatively clean, taken care of, and maintained. The waitress was available and kind. She was very soft spoken and didn't follow up well after initial service. The food was horrible. I went with the breakfast burrito special that they were offering. It was a PUDDLE of a mess and soggy. It lacked flavor, color, and showed no hint of seasoning. My wife ordered the pollo pennine with pesto. It was underwhelming and lack luster as well. Between the cheese and pesto it was OVER salted, and soggy due to the oversized tomato wedges being smashed in it with RAW onions. Against our better judgement, with the disappointment of both meals, we ordered a follow on side of French toast; and that was horrible as well. Undercooked, soggy, and flavorless toppled with a pile of powdered sugar and a gob of butter that would had left Paula Dean sayin 'Good LORD... that's a lot of BUTTER" the presentation was sloppy at best. This location might be a local staple, but as a stop through patron, we would NEVER go here again. Don't do it.... Keep driving or look for better quality at a Dunkin! read more

Kate, our server, quickly welcomed us and took our drink orders. She answered our questions and helped us get exactly what we wanted for our order. wow what a range of reviews...i don't know why!...have been past here many, many, times and never had the opportunity to visit and i finally did...good sized parking lot but also a very full parking lot and it is a very busy place....we were greeted by a very friendly, informative waitress who asked if we had been here before and no, so we got a lot of good information and a huge menu to select from ...and then the food which was great and plentiful, we had a pancake fan with us who loved the pancakes and i think all really enjoyed their meals and the presentations....we all thought it was great!!!! read more

I walked in without noticing that they had just closed for the day but I was greeted cheerfully and was offered to make me lunch even though they had closed. I ordered the Turkey club on sourdough bread and when I got back to my office I was shocked how large it was, the sandwich was by far the best I have ever had! It was AWESOME! the bread was fresh and soft, the lettuce and tomato were super fresh and perfect! And the turkey was very good! Breakfast for seven please. Reservation made. Short wait, loud for a Sunday at 10am. Menu was very straightforward. Got the "hungry man" breakfast. Small amount of eggs, maybe 1 1/2 of them instead of the usual 2. No complaints. Seasoned home fries. French toast and kielbasa. Not a long wait for the seven of us to be fed. 2 of us had breakfast there around 8:30 the Friday after Thanksgiving. There were still 1/3 of the tables available. SERVICE: Kathy S was lovely, attentive and friendly. FOOD: Eggs were good, home fries were excellent, I got them with peppers and onions and was pleased the peppers were yellow and red (I don't care for green), with a slight crunch. The onions were sweet. English muffin was fresh. Coffee was much better than my last trip (years ago). The corned beef hash was quite fatty/greasy and very dark meat. I'm used to seeing brighter colored meat in hash. The sausage links were good. By the time we left, around 9:15, all the tables were full and there was a line of folks waiting to get in. read more

We stopped at Paul's for the first time on our trip up to ME on 12/5/2025. Heidi, our terrific waitress, made some suggestions and we took her advice. We shared a fresh baked scone. My husband had pancakes with a ham steak that he is still talking about. And I had eggs benedict made with corn beef. It was a culinary delight. Can't even believe this place has any less than five stars! Best pastrami sandwich my husband has had in DECADES. Recommended by our incredible waitperson, who was "an eleven out of ten." We stopped here on our way home from NH and what a find! Our server was so wonderful, she made the whole experience a 10 star stop! The sandwiches were fresh, delicious, enormous, and well priced. So, we moved to Westford about a year and a half ago and everybody said Paul's was the best, I don't know if they are holding some loyalty when it might have been better, but we've given Paul's a few chances and this was the last one. When we first moved into the area we did takeout for egg & cheese sandwiches on bagels a couple of times. They were about what you'd expect, they were good, I had no complaints other than the time quoted for pickup was always way less than the actual time. So they would say 10 minutes and you'd get there and wait another 15. So after doing takeout a few times we decided to go in, we were out in the dining room that's to the side, almost as if they expanded the dining room, that's wonderful that they felt they could justify doing this, however, they didn't expand the kitchen. we were there for an hour and forty minutes after we were sat. So we decided to not dine in there again because who has 2 hours to wait around. Fast forward to today: I went in and ordered egg and cheese sandwiches to go, I was asked how I wanted the egg, I am always unsure of egg lingo and I said "not runny", I am now wearing egg yolk on my shirt, because my egg was, in fact, runny. Also, they quoted me 25 minutes for takeout, I went in and it clearly took way less time because my order was sitting at the counter and our sandwiches were ice cold by the time I returned home (6 minutes away) read more

I'm pretty surprised that this place doesn't have a better rating. I finally went to Paul's after living just a few miles down the road for a couple of years. I'm just not a breakfast person. But I heard Paul's was an institution so I had to give it a shot. The result? I enjoyed it. The inside of the restaurant is warm and inviting. Very clean too! And the staff was just as warm. We got sat right away and had Heidi as a server. She was so nice and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job. Anytime a server talks up the food like it's the best around, you know they have pride in where they work. Heidi did all of that. I got the monte cristo sandwich and it was great. I inhaled it. My mom got the chicken and waffles which she liked but thought the chicken was a bit dry (the only reason I didn't go with 5 stars here). This is definitely a place I will go back to especially to try the lunch menu which looks really good. This could very easily turn from 4 stars to 5 in the near future. read more

Stopped in here for brunch, coming off of I-495. We were very surprised at the large menu. Their breakfast is right on point. We had a pulled pork omelet and a veggie omelet with avocado and bacon. Geez made with 3 eggs!! It was a lot to eat with homemade bread to boot! Our waitress Heidi was very knowledgeable and quite the hustler knowing her job well getting the food out super hot! No complaints here! While traveling to Maine we will make it a regular stop. read more

Ok this was really good. The menu is pretty large so read it carefully before you go. Some observations...a lot of the food isn't actually home-made which was a bummer, but at least it was still tasty. Fir example, the baked beans are not, but they add to it to make them better. Unsanitary, disengaged staff, ridiculous wait times. Arrived 8:30 on a Saturday morning. Inside tables full - no plates in sight. Hostess wandering through with a rattling, wet cough. Another disbelieving patron (waiting to be seated) said "I've been here for 30 minutes and she's hacking constantly - so is the rest of the staff." I got there and waited about 20 minutes before being able to order and was only able to order then due to going out of my way to find a waitress and ask if she could take our order. And then when I used the restroom there was no toilet paper available... and then when I got my food I can at least say that the home fries were great but they also served me a side of sour avocado which turned my stomach faster than you could even imagine and that isn't good to begin with but I am also pregnant and get to spend the night wondering if the avocado being so spoiled is going to hurt my baby. I wish i could start with positives, but I can't. The only real positive was the politeness of our server. So we went in before 9. It took about ten minutes for a hostess to speak to us, we were seated immediately after that. Unfortunately we didn't see a server until almost fifteen minutes after being seated. We then sat for 40 minutes waiting for an omelette, a waffle, bacon, and toast. Those will all get individual breakdowns. The omelette was supposed to be peppers, onions, American cheese. It had peppers, it had onions, it didn't have cheese... At all. So basically it was a stuffed egg with pepper and onion. I was more surprised about the firmness of the egg and lack of any kind of seasoning. A firm flavorless cheeseless omelette could have been salvaged, but even Tabasco sauce couldn't revive it. The waffle was somehow salty, and the accompanying fruit hadn't even been given a light glaze to enhance the sweetness. The whipped cream was clearly from a can or container. I didn't get the feeling that there was a sense of culinary pride in what was being served. The bacon had it been served to a house pet would have been acceptable, but... How do you get rid of the flavor of bacon? In all my life, in all my travels never before have I had flavorless bacon. Even the precooked bacon I've purchase in the past had flavor. It was like the soul of bacon was robbed from it and the flavorless husk was placed on a plate and served to me. The toast was fine, it's hard to mess up toast. I'm glad the cooking staff was able to not mess up putting butter on toasted bread. I guess they had to set a minimum standard for some kind of culinary success. Went there by myself today. Very nice breakfast/lunch spot. Conveniently located right off the highway. Plenty of parking. Ample seating in a very clean dining room. My order was ready in a few minutes. Staff was friendly and checked on me a few times while I was eating. The food was delicious. A little bit in the pricey side ($22 for coffee, OJ, and chorizo hash eggs Benedict), but not unreasonable for the area. If I were to nitpick, I'd point out that I was given a single napkin and would have to ask for additional ones, and I think 1:30 is a little too early to close for a place that serves lunch. Had my granddaughters first birthday here after hours-the other room you order food from another menu and they set up tables and a buffet. Excellent quality and taste. They even had gluten free options which is huge. Staff was friendly and attentive. Since Paul's is right off 495 it's an easy location for people to get to. Nice job! read more

Good local brunch joint we found around the area. Food - Omelettes were decent enough. It comes with a side, we got home seasoned fries which were pretty good. Another side was hash brown patties, which were way too oily. Service - Due to busy Sunday morning, service was poor and slow when I went. The staff was struggling to manage the crowd. However, I really liked that the entire staff was college students, which is a great learning experience for them. Place smelt incredibly with waffly smell. Decently clean! read more

it's a normal diner the hashbrown patties are frozen from their supplier (per the waitress) waited for 20 mins (which is standard Sunday mornings) then waiting about 40 mins for the standard not the best breakfast. Stopped in for a quick lunch after horseback riding as we were heading up 495 to the beach. I choose the location since they serve breakfast all day. Their menu is definitely geared towards breakfast. A whole page of omelettes. Plus eggs, pancakes, waffles. I did see lunch offerings - but it seemed to be a limited selection. Loved all the omelette choices. Best was that the choice typically said "cheese". And you could choose your own cheese variety. The omelette was advertised as 3 egg, but it seemed smaller. Which for me was a good thing. I was able to eat the whole omelette - though barely touch the potatoes and toast. I wish the omelettes had been offered a la carte. read more
