My friend and I recently visited The Corner Cup after eating lunch at Pea Ridge. We loved everything about Corner Cup so much that we immediately returned for a second visit the next week. This is a quaint coffee shop with a bit of a hipster vibe to it (which I don't mind). I've gotten the iced coffee and iced caramel macchiato, which were both tasty! My boyfriend was not a fan of how light the coffee was, but as someone who is basically a coffee noob, I thought the coffee was great, black or not. However, the main reason I look forward to going back is because of the owners. I didn't catch their names, but there is one man and one woman. They are SO sweet, friendly, and patient. I was excited to come here even though it was a bit out of the way but I love trying new coffee shops. The shop is on the corner of the complex. I had to look pretty hard for it and almost missed my turn so I suggest slowing down when you get close to the shopping center. Parking was very easy and there was plenty of space off to the side. The people working inside are very nice and seem to get to know their regulars very well. I sat inside for about an hour working -- they do provide WiFi for free (and the speed was good enough to do basic web browsing), and there were outlets. Most customers ordered to go or didn't stay for long so seating didn't seem to be an issue. I ordered a latte and my BF ordered the cappuccino. My latte tasted like a burnt milk, so it's difficult to say how good the espresso shot was. I sipped the cappuccino and it tasted watery. I was pretty disappointed since I there were so many positive reviews. May come back and try a coffee instead. read more

Finally, a fantastic coffee shop 1.2 miles from my house! So sick of Starbucks, I gave up on having a great, quaint and hip coffee shop close by. It seems like they're not officially opened according to the website (official opening is 4/30). But a friend told me about this joint and we decided to meet up to talk here today. Tried an iced Americano. It was good and refreshing, just what the hot weather called for. They apparently roast their beans locally, so that's really neat. The staff is friendly, the space is nice & cozy (with outside seating too). Free WiFi offered- a definite need for folks who want to work in the space. The only strange thing is they have cushions nailed into the wall for the tables along the long side. I understand that there's not space to put the cushions on the benches, but they can be a little uncomfortable, depending on one's seating location & height. The shop is hard to see from street. I love stopping by in the morning when I have time, the owner is an absolute delight and always warm and welcoming. I stopped drinking coffee 2 years ago but prior to that, everything I had here was delicious. This place is awesome, they have different types of roasts-light medium or dark, which I think is key to a good coffee shop...with a lot of awesome pastries, even a gluten-free chocolate ganache cake which was delicious! I went for the first time with my mom today. It was very cozy. She tried the lavender latte which was interesting but very good. It's been awhile since I've been in such a cute funky independent progressive coffee shop. So I was initially downhearted :( about the slice-your-own bagel and toast-your-own bagel setup. But it WAS a good asiago cheese and jalepeno bagel, that obviously was served quickly, and the for-here hot chai latte came in a large ceramic mug with a quirky inscription. So it worked out ok.... THEN the overly friendly owner came around with "his"* iPad (*said because this locale is LGBTQ genderqueer-friendly and I don't want to make assumptions about pronouns) and it turned out that a car was damaged in the parking lot and the offender was... my lunch date. While my date was outside exchanging information (another sadface emoji) that same owner came and placed a FREE brownie at my friend's spot... with "Sorry" spelled out in chocolate sauce and caramel (among other words). Very sweet and helped what could've been a really down day (my data and I were swapping job search assistance). The brownie was delicious and rich and fudgy and appreciated. I met two of the owners when we visited this week and both of them impressed me so much! They have such a unique menu with items that my palate had never tasted before! Folks, we've been to A LOT of cafes and coffee shops in our travels .. this one deserves your business and you will not regret your visit! It was a glorious day in the neighborhood when The Corner Cup opened its doors! We have a lot of walkers (not the Walking Dead kind) in our neighborhood but we've never had a good place we could walk for coffee. Now we do and I think I can speak for everyone when I say we are delighted! The coffee is delicious as well as the other beverages they offer. There are hot and cold options so they should always have something that catches your fancy. They also offer a variety of baked goods from Southern Sweets. You should definitely try the apple turnover but you may want to share because it is a massive pastry. The owners, Patrick, Rich, and Tess, are wonderful people. They always make us feel welcome and we leave with a smile every time. My one year old loves them, too, and that means a lot. I also appreciate their musical taste and usually end up tapping my foot and singing along if I stay long enough. I love everything about this place and I am so happy to have them here.
