Biscuits and gravy, two eggs and hash browns.

Stopped in for some breakfast this morning. All the inside booths were taken so we decided to sit outside and eat. The waitress was very attentive and kept checking on as we were the only ones outside. They offer a pretty decent menu for breakfast foods. I went with the biscuits and gravy with two eggs and hash browns. My wife got the veggie omelette with cheese grits and a biscuit. The food came out really quick and tasted pretty good. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely a nice little spot.

Ah-mazzzing!! Fabulous home made food served in a quaint small town atmosphere! We had (and enjoyed!) the Philly cheese steak that was suggested by our fellow Yelp community!! We also followed one reviewer suggestion and had the BLT-it was excellent!! The perfect ratio of crispy lettuce, bacon and tomato with just the right amount of mayonnaise! The Philly cheesesteak is the standard that all phillys should be judged by!! It was great!! The perfect ratio of shaved steak, malty cheese and grilled onions! Okay-I had to sign back in to edit this review to add-get the MILKSHAKE! It is EPIC!! We ordered a large and asked them to split it into 2 cups!! They were super accommodating! The cherry vanilla is awesome!!

The perfect place to have a good home cook breakfasts. The food is simple but delicious. The service was excellent received 2 rounds of coffee in cool looking mugs . The owner Son Stan is the reason I will return, the service he provide was top notch. The only downside is that they are not open after 3pm. Also closed on Sundays and Mondays .

I visited here for dinner recently. I was in Remington, VA to visit "Salon on Main" for a pedicure/manicure - and was starving afterward. I ordered the special that day - meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. It's your typical down-home, stick-to-your-ribs comfort food. Pretty good. I've also had their Italian sub - also pretty good! Everyone was friendly. Service was good! #TheCornerDeli

I was starving after my 3 hour long wait at the DMV and stop by here to grab some lunch. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal. the cashier was super friendly and funny I really like the fact that he made a conversation with us. It genuinely made me feel very welcomed. We will definitely be coming around more often.

We all ordered the French toast breakfast, which was only $7, and honestly, for the amount of food you get, that's a great deal. First of all, the French toast portion was HUGE. Definitely come hungry! It was really good, and the sausage was probably my favorite part of the meal. It was that old-school, ground sausage formed into patties, and the flavor was so nostalgic. It immediately reminded me of the kind of sausage my grandmother used to make. The only real miss for me was the potatoes. I appreciated that they were actual hand-cut potatoes instead of the frozen cubes you sometimes get at restaurants, but they had absolutely no seasoning. Even just some salt and pepper would have helped, although onions and green peppers would have made them even better. Without ketchup, I honestly wouldn't have eaten them. I also had a peach mimosa, which was delicious and refreshing. Rachel, our server, was great. She was attentive without hovering and offered suggestions and recommendations, which I always appreciate. Overall, Grill 309 was a nice breakfast spot with generous portions, really good food, and especially good value for the price. It didn't quite blow my socks off enough for five stars, but I definitely enjoyed the experience and would give it a solid 4 stars.

Great classic diner vibe. First and foremost the service was incredible. Kendra was our server. She was very attentive and super friendly. She constantly checked in on us and was just a delight. We went right for food and skipped apps and drinks. Ordered the steak salad (medium rare) that was perfectly cooked. The dressing was tasty too. Also ordered the chicken club which came with fries. The fries were good. The sandwich was really tasty! Chicken seasoned to perfection and with the bacon, avocado, and cheese it was the perfect balance of flavors working together. The bread was buttery and toasted. Delicious. We were traveling and stopped here. There is a 6% county tax on tour tab called 'restaurant tax' which is in addition to the other taxes. Just FYI. Overall a great place to grab some amazing food with pretty fabulous service. Would go again!

There are places you go because you need something, and there are places you go because life is…read morejust better when you do. Messick's falls into that second category. You start out thinking it's just a farm market but inside, the place has all the usual farm market suspects--fresh produce, baked goods, meats--but then you notice the food counter. That's where things go sideways in the best possible way. The sandwiches are flat-out good, not "good for a farm store," but actually good. And the breakfast burritos are not normal human-sized food. They're the kind of burritos that make you reconsider your life choices halfway through eating one, in a positive way. Outside is where Messick's really shows off. Kids running everywhere, farm people doing what farm people do, and enough seasonal activities to keep families occupied until everyone forgets what time it is. It's the kind of place where parents sit down "for just a minute" and then suddenly it's an hour later and nobody is in a hurry to leave. If you're rolling in with a camper, it also works as a Harvest Hosts stop, which is a polite way of saying you can legally fall asleep there without anyone bothering you. Parking is easy in a grass-and-gravel area that's simple to level into, and once the day crowd clears out it gets quiet in that good country way. Verizon signal holds up well too, which is either a blessing or a curse depending on how hard you were trying to escape emails. What makes Messick's dangerous is that it's not trying to be anything other than what it is--but it ends up being more anyway. You go for a quick stop and leave feeling like you accidentally spent the afternoon at somebody's family reunion, except nobody made you help clean up afterward. In a world full of overcomplicated stops and underwhelming food, Messick's is refreshingly simple: good food, good people, and just enough chaos to make it interesting.

An older man in a t-shirt talking on the phone waved us on saying it was ok. The second time the dog approached us, I asked the man if he would leash the dog. He said, "No I will not". So, we left. It is unfortunate he chose to disregard our safety and comfort, and ruin this special outing. We are clearly "dog people" but were intimidated by this dog and especially the man. It was a stunning experience.
