Awesome spot to grab a bite in Shenandoah. This place has a good locals vibe and had great music playing throughout the night. I got a bacon cheeseburger with curly fries. The burger was great, as were the fries. It definitely came with a full plate of fries, and I was completely stuffed by the end. I did try a bite of the blueberry tart from a friend, and it was incredible. Served warm with a scoop of ice cream on top. It became the highlight of the meal and wished I had saved room for it. Overall a great, easy stop if you're near Shenandoah. I would return and recommend. And I would even come back just to get dessert. read more

Found this place when we were looking for a warm meal after our hikes. Rodeo Burger with onion rings - the beef patty was not seasoned so it was very bland. I relied heavily on the salt from the bacon. I appreciated how toasted the buns were. The onion rings were good and the dipping sauce it came with was good. There was another dipping sauce but it was very runny and sweet. I think they accidentally gave us a salad dressing. Shenandoah Burger with sweet potato fries - the beef patty was also very bland. Ordered two Old Fashioneds that tasted like it only had bitters, orange peel, and cherries (not bourbon or simple syrup), a dozen wings that only counted 11, two silverware for 4 people, an empty ketchup container, and our waitress didn't offer to refill 3 out of 4 of our empty water glasses. We stayed in Elkton for a weekend and decided to try this place out since it was only a few minutes away. Firstly, their menu is great - lots of options and everything sounds amazing, it was hard to choose what to get. Two of us got wings and then three of us got burgers. We also ordered some Jalepeno poppers which were amazing! Everyone really enjoyed everything they ordered. Our only complaint about this place was that the service is soooo slow. I'm not sure if we just went on a bad night or maybe the server forgot to put in our order but it was bad. There was only like four other tables in the entire restaurant and we waited an hour for our entrees. We also noticed that some tables who arrived about thirty minutes after us were getting their food first. We've passed by this place so many times and finally decided to drop in. It's an older brick building. The fanciest thing is the sign. It's a smallish place with tables and a few bar seats. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and taken to a table. It was around 2:00pm so it wasn't that busy. My sister and I both ordered the Shenandoah Burger that came with grilled onions & mushrooms, Swiss cheese and lettuce & tomato. I gotta say, this is one of the best burgers to tickle my taste buds in a while. Starting with the bun, it was just enough bread with a slight char. The burger itself was beefy and not greasy. Loved the way the onions and mushrooms were cooked - just lightly sauteed. Yummy! I wanted to gobble the whole thing down but kept myself in check and saved half for my hubby. Staying at the Lydia Mountain cabins and stubbled across this place on Yelp. We decided to give it a try. We ordered pick up and got the Rodeo burger w/potato salad, Classic burger w/mac n cheese, and Spicy Honey boneless wings. Everything was pretty good burger was a smidge dry and I didn't like the wing sauce I picked (wasn't the worst but next time I'll try another flavor). This bar/restaurant is located in the tiny town of Elkon, the closest town to Massanutten Resort. I'm not sure how many restaurants are in Elkton but I'd guess there's not much competition for Old 33. Despite that fact, it's got some good food and reasonable prices. I got the Tex Mex burger which was quite thick, juicy, and filling. It had some nice add ons like avocado and tomato. I was actually full before I finished my fries, but the kids were happy to help me out with my leftovers. I took my order to go, but I noticed there's a small bar area which has 3 guys at 5pm on a Sunday night so I assume it can get quite busy on a Saturday later in the evening. An absolute GEM of a find for a good quality craft burger. Absolutely cannot miss this spot if you're passing through the Shenandoah Valley area! My wife and I were passing through the town of Elkton enroute to our lodging for the night; and we had our dog with us so we wanted to find somewhere where we could grab some good quality takeout to bring back to the AirBnB and enjoy. We are from northern VA so we weren't super familiar with the area, but we figured we'd give this place a try. And let me tell you - I'm so glad we did. Let's start with the extensive menu of options. From the 10 custom craft burgers, to the unique, innovative side options, there's certainly something for everyone here. They also have non-burger options for those so inclined. We went ahead and placed our order - and I was shocked when the total came out to $31 for two craft, fully-loaded burgers and two sides of specialty fries - a true value! Especially coming from us who as I mentioned live in the DC metro area, where $31 MIGHT get you a burger and fries for one person. As we placed our order for takeout, they had it ready for us to enjoy within 15 minutes (and mind you it was dinner hour on a Saturday during Memorial Day weekend). I also must note how well the burgers and fries traveled - it was a 15-20min drive until we were able to enjoy the food and it wasn't soggy or stale at all - which is rare to find these days with a burger. The wife and I both ordered the rodeo burger, but I ordered the loaded cheeseburger fries and my wife got the sweet potato fries with maple sauce. And let me tell you - this is such an emblematic, no-frills example of a craft burger joint not trying to be too fancy and just getting the little things right. From the freshness of ingredients, to the structural integrity of the burgers themselves (I HATE a messy burger that falls apart as I'm eating it), to the way each flavor and texture on the burger complemented one another perfectly - there just aren't enough things I can say to emphasize the sheer quality of the food served here.
