I would rate this average for dining experience. The food was ok. The queso and chips weren't very tasty, the queso was clumpy and gritty like if it was made from a powder, I wasn't sure because I hadn't tasted a texture like that before. Our service was slow and we had to remind the server we ordered margaritas. Then we had to wait again a very long time when we ordered a second round. When we first walked in the small foyer area there wasn't enough room to wait and there was a very sewer like smell when you first walk in. I decided to go to the restroom to wash my hands and when entering the restroom which is very close to the foyer, that's when I realized the smell was coming from the restroom. It was not good. I'd recommend doing a complete bathroom renovation not only to bring the aesthetic up to date but to perhaps help with putting in new plumbing to get rid of the old sewer like smell that creeps to the entry way. Someone in my party had recommended eating here since we hadn't been here in several years and because he wanted bbq, but I don't think I personally would go back. We had a great dinner here the other day. We were hungry so we opted for the AYCE Cadillac platter served family style. We ordered the turkey, pulled pork, sausage, brisket and ribs . All the meats were delicious but the pork ribs and brisket were the stand outs so we ordered more of those meats only on our refills. The sausage did have a kick to it in case you're sensitive to spicy foods. The homemade bread was awesome as well as all of sides including the potato salad topped with paprika. Our server, Star, did a top notch job. She was super friendly and accommodating with any questions we had. This place has really stepped up its game, my opinion. As locals that live down the street in Sandia Heights, we came here a few times a few years ago right after COVID and the food was not that great. The pork was dry and the service just average. We happened to see a new commercial on tv and decided to give it another shot after a two year hiatus. I am glad we did! To those locals or frequent visitors to Abq that that had a similar experience like ours in the past, I say DEFINITELY give them another shot and you'll be impressed. While visiting Albuquerque for work my kind local coworkers drove me out here and we got to see the beautiful view and catch the sunset of the Sandia Mountain. We arrived right before closing and luckily there wasn't a wait and it wasn't too busy. They were able to accommodate a party of 5 and get everything in. We got lucky that they still had their homemade bread, which is good with their butter and special honey butter. They say it's best to use your leftovers to make french toast! We started off with some drinks, I hear their old fashioned it good but I got a nice margarita and it came with the shaker cup too. The family I went with said they have really good sausage so I had to give it a try. Almost everyone ordered sausage or lean brisket. I went with the 2 combo platter of the sausage and lean brisket. I asked what the most popular sides were and they said it was the mac and cheese and Cole slaw so that's what I got. I was afraid the meal would be too big but it was perfect! The sausage with their special sauce was SOOO good! Same as their lean brisket. I was pretty happy after my meal and surprised I ate it all! Unbelievable. Tried to order carryout. First guy gets halfway though the order and he drops off the line replaced by some lady giving a commercial. Then another guy comes on the line and I give him the order, a fairly simple one. We show up about 15min later to pick it up and they cant find the order. I restate the order to a person at the bar and wait another 15 min. The order shows up in a plastic bag. So I pay for it and discover that they charged me $5 extra for pork ribs instead of beef. Really? Then we get home and guess what? The meat is loosely wrapped in foil and further the order is wrong! Wrong sides and wrong meat. Learned a hard lesson here. Never again! read more

Came here on a weekend and the place was packed. Despite how busy it looked, I was able to get a table immediately. The server was nice and all the food arrived at a reasonable time. For the appetizer, I got the brisket taco. They were a bit spicy but flavorful, I'd be tempted to order them as my main course next time. As for the main dish, I got the half rack pork and beef ribs with fries and Mac n cheese. The sides were good and what you'd expect. The pork ribs were my favorite. They served it with a tangy BBQ sauce, which was good, but I prefer my sauce to be more sweet. I ate most of my ribs without the sauce because they were great on their own. The beef ribs were a bit of a letdown. It was a little tough to eat and unfortunately, most of the meat seemed to have fallen off during cooking. It was more bone than meat. I thought the pulled pork was good but the fries were barely warm. I would have ended my review there but then I went to the bathroom on my way out. It smelled bad, was old, none of the doors locked, there wasn't toilet paper in my stall and there was a hole in the wall. This place has the best customer service and pretty good food too. We were traveling in the evening with a group of 30 hungry individuals at the local tourist attraction. We called ahead a few minutes before closing, and they agreed to feed us. Most of the staff stayed late to accommodate us, and the food was worth it. The garlic mashed red potatoes were incredible. If we had known about how much food my husbands order would be, I probably would not have ordered anything. The margarita is meant for two, though one person could finish it. It literally was the best TASTING margarita that I, personally have ever had. I'd definitely get it again. The ochra was crispy and hot, but I felt lacking in flavor. I wouldn't order it again. My pork was a tad dry and the beef was fine. The salsa was very hot and while the queso had a decent flavor, it was as thin as water. My husbands sausage was the best of all the meats in both of our options. The beef ribs were dry. The Mac and cheese was a bit soft. And the potato was a potato. We love The view! Although the atmosphere needs an upgrade for sure, especially the light fixtures. But more than anything, every single time I go to County line, they are out of baked potatoes!!!!!! I mean really come on, it's a steak and BBQ place they should have more than enough potatoes. It's very frustrating because that's why we go, for the stuffed potatoes which you should try, If you go, make sure to call ahead and ask if they have a potatoes!!!!! That's why I gave two stars. Yum Yum!! The County Line is the perfect place for date night. Great food, tasty drinks, awesome view! The servers were amazing and worked well to ensure we were well taken care of, which is a big plus nowadays. We had their brisket (special cut/burnt ends) and they kicked ass! Their chicken wings are the best and their homemade dipping sauce was so good! For dessert, hands down, the bread pudding adds to the gastro fest. My first time here. We had 3 appetizers. Jalapeño cheese bites, mini tacos and sausage. The sausage was plentiful and was ok nothing over the top and the cheese bites were tasty but the mini tacos were delicious. I had the 5 meat combo ($30). My pork rib was huge but really dry. The beef ribs were also kind of dry but good. The brisket had a good smoked flavor but was a small portion. The turkey was good especially soaked in bbq sauce. It also came with a sausage which was similar to the appetizer. My loaded potato was delicious as well as my okra. Service was meh. I asked for a napkin and the lady looked at me kind of bugged and said she see if she had any more?!? We had so much food on the table ribs and such you would think this place had more napkins. I honestly have had better service at the Golden Corral on San Mateo. Prices are high but we expected that before we got there. In conclusion would I come back? What a nice place! In town visiting friends and we wanted to take them somewhere to thank them for their hospitality. They recommended this place. It's a huge place! Ample parking. We were sat relatively quickly, maybe a 15 minute wait. Greeted with a smile. There is plenty to look at throughout the restaurant. Great decor. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. There were 7 of us, so we kept them busy. Everything was so good. Great burgers! I heard the steak was perfect, the pasta was spot on and the chicken tenders rocked! Let me start off by saying that I haven't been to the County Line in some time but was expecting it to be great as it has always been so good in the past. Growing up in Albuquerque NM, I use to eat here with my family growing up. Last time I ate here was about 2 years ago. So, about a week before eating at the county line I called in and made a reservation. The girl that answer the phone was very pleasant and courteous. She scheduled my party of 9 for Saturday evening around 5:30 p.m.. When I arrived it was about 5:15 p.m., I let them know that half of my party was still on its way. They were very kind and got us our table and seated right away. Shortly after that the rest of my party arrived. We had 2 separate tables but they were close to each other. Due to Corona virus we are only allowed 6 people to a table. Our server came up and took our drink order and of course with me being a Yelp member I got the free appetizer which was one appetizer you order off of the menu and I ordered queso with chips and salsa. Everything started off pretty good and the room we were in filled up rather quickly. When we finally decided to order our food. It took the waiter a while to come back to our table and get our order but, we did order. Our waiter was not the best at coming and checking on our table. I'm not sure if he had other tables but he only checked on us a few times and that's being generous. It did take a while for our food to come out but it was a Saturday evening and we were enjoying our time together so we weren't in a huge rush. However, it became a little excessive but we did receive our food. One thing off the back I wish I had said something to management, but I did not, was that our 3 hamburgers for our kids were basically burnt. I noticed that the hamburgers were very dark but the boys ate them. Later on I asked them if their dinner was good and they said the burgers were burnt. So I did feel bad about for that. The French fries did not come out with the burgers and our waiter brought them several minutes later. I thought that was strange. My husband and brother ordered the brisket, pulled pork and sausage, they both said that the brisket was cold and that the pulled pork was mediocre at best. I wish I had brought it up to management but when I asked them if they wanted me to say anything they said no just leave it alone we are starving and it took forever for us to get our food anyway so let it be. My mom did take us out for dinner Saturday night as our Easter dinner which was very nice of her and knowing that she spent about $200 on dinner and the service and food was not up to par is a bit concerning. I do not recommend this restaurant and I should have known because the last 5 Yelp reviews were not great but I gave it a shot anyway. There are plenty of good barbecue restaurants in a town that I would go to before I go here. Unfortunately, the food and service doesn't match the views. We decided after a year to try County Line again. My wife ordered the Big Daddy full rack ribs and I had the AYCS platter. This time like so many before it was allowed without any fuss. Our server Camille was excellent- kept drinks and meat refills coming, alerted me when the kitchen was getting ready to close. Found this just by chance driving by. Figured it must be good, the parking lot was crowded at 1pm. We were greeted with smiles and seated immediately. Lucas was our server , very helpful, attentive, and friendly. We decided to share the 5 smoked meat sampler (pepper Turkey, beef ribs, pork ribs, beef brisket, and sausage made in house)with side salad (yummy pecan vinaigrette) and baked beans. Turkey, usually boring right?, not here it was tender, moist and amazing. Sausage was incredible, I would buy it if in stores. Beef ribs and pork ribs were good as well. If someone from out of town were going to ask me for a BBQ referral, mine would be something like this: If what you are hungry for is a slab of really good BBQ ribs, pork, or turkey, along with really good sides, I have no hesitation to recommend County Line BBQ. A meal of any of their BBQ meats is a treat. But if you're like me and a slab of BBQ meat isn't always what my appetite wants, then just forget it. Pretty much any other BBQ restaurant in the country has an assortment of sandwiches and other items that are very satisfying. A hamburger is normally a really good, safe alternative when I'm not in the mood for a slab of BBQ meat. Ather commonlt safe alteernatives would be a Reuben, tacos, or who knows what. But not at County Line BBQ. I can't think of a single other BBQ restaurant I have ever been to where I can't find at least 2-3 other items on the menu that aren't home runs. County Line will only prepare their puny, thin, shrunken up, dry, hamburger patties cooked well done. No exceptions. Obviously they are using frozen patties akin to the square, dry patties served to us in public schools in the 1970's. Not a fond childhood memory those were. County Line does have a couple of other sandwiches, but those are duds every bit as bad as the hamburgers are duds. "Puny," "drab," & "dry" are all I can come up with to describe a County Line BBQ sandwich. County Line hamburgers and sandwiches are consistently the worst I am ever served in any restaurant, and I could eat 3 of them and maybe then feel full. The brew pub down the street has far, far better, and far more satisfying burgers & sandwiches. This isn't a Covid thing. It's been like this for years. I did for a spell settle on ordeering the baked potato. But a few weeks ago they figured out how to screw that up. Just add the words "cold" and "forgot one of our orders" and "forgot the toppings" to the above, and there you have it for the baked potato. read more

Disappointed. I have eaten there many times over the years. The restaurant has fabulous views but that's where it ends. I ordered a Brisket Sandwich. The meat was cooked well but bland. The bun appeared old and was quite hard. The barbecue sauce was as runny as water and I was unable to put it on my sandwich since it just ran off it. The beans were also tasteless so we tried adding barbecue sauce and that didn't help either. The service was fine and he was nice, but kitchen was slow to get our food out although it was not crowded. Overall the food was sub par and sadly I won't go back. read more
