My go-to order is usual the ribs or brisket, but our server spoke very highly of the Ribeye which is smoked and it was a great recommendation! Another update, tried the combo platter today, ribs were full of meat and very juicy, pulled pork and brisket were flavorful and tender, I am not a fan of the smoked sausage, but husband stated they were delicious. Every once in awhile I'll drive up to the mountain and meet some friends for a beer at happy hour. Its a very friendly place to meet. This time I went in the restaurant with my son and 2 little granddaughters. The food was excellent. More than the kids could eat (kid burgers fries and mac & cheese) My son and I split both of our entrees and were very happy with both! The service was extraordinary! Not only was our original server very attentive, others came by to make sure we were happy. I was!!! The price was right for 4 people, we left with leftovers and full bellies! Always in the hunt for good bbq. Sometimes it's just bbq, other times it's BBQ! I got a good whiff of the aroma as we pulled up. Rustic interior with a little heavier dose of bbqing meat. The meat plates looked great, but I wasn't hungry enough. I settled for the Chicken Caesar Salad (how boring right?) it was good and filling. Of course the bbq dishes everyone else ordered looked and according to them were excellent. Service was great, my ice tea glass stayed full - always a bonus. Need to go back when I'm hungry. A word of advice tho - these guys are proudly unwoke, unrelenting, unapologetic, and non-pc Americans. Really really really enjoyed this place. We are in the road all the time and got lucky enough to find this bbq place. We sat at the bar and were greeted by two bartenders with smiles and fast service. The food had a vast variety and several different ways of servings. We got the combination plate and loved every bit of it. A word to the wise the sausage was a little on the spicy side, but not enough to call it too hot. The food and service was excellent! Fantastic spot, especially after a long hike. I'd give it an honest 4.5 but yelp only lets you do whole numbers, plus this place shouldn't be 3.5 like it currently is. I got the combination plate which comes with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and sausage. Frankly the brisket is mid, but everything else was fantastic. WAY better than I thought walking in here. The ambiance makes me feel homesick for Texas. It's a perfect vibe. Also they have Guinness on tap, of which I've been a connoisseur recently. Great beer selection otherwise too. I'm pretty picky about my BB-Q and of course nobody smokes or does BB-Q as good as we do right guys! But I tell you this place nailed the ribs! The in house sausage was very good as well. The blackened catfish was good on flavor and had a nice kick to it. Brisket and pulled pork were nice and moist but a little short on flavor. Our waitress worked her tail off and was on point for our large group. I highly recommend Ribs. Don't pass on the pork ribs! We will be back again the next time we are in New Mexico. read more

So we are are trying to support local businesses during our isolation. I have seen this restaurant for years and never stopped. It isn't on my normal path of travel so it was always a after thought or one day. Well my daughters wedding was in January and we contracted their bartenders for the Reception. I'm not sure who the two gentleman were but they were awesome. Charismatic, attentive, friendly and personal with the wide variety of guest. Now let's talk about the staff during this Covid 19. We placed our order with super friendly gentleman on the phone. We arrived at the designated time. The dining room was folded up and looked like a giant dance floor with stacked tables and chairs. Everyone was working together to efficiently help customers. Many of the the patrons were obviously regulars because the staff knew them all by name. My order was brought out to me and off I went home to feed the family. At home we unwrapped a whole lot of delicious goodness. Overall the entire family delighted in the tangy B-B-Q open flame flavor. The sides were just the right added goodness to enhance the flavors of the meats. DESSERT! YUMMY!! let me tell you if you like decadent,rich,creamy, mouth watering, chocolate magic, this enormous cake with raspberry drizzle is for you! My photo does not do it justice because it's huge!! I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now- my aunt comes here regularly after hikes and my cousin takes his kids on "picnics" here. We sat outside on the patio last Friday, which had ample space and plenty of overhead heaters for the winter. Understandably, some of the prices were increased because of COVID, but it was worth the bang for the buck (I ended up taking half of my sandwich and some of my fries home and not much room for dinner after our big lunch). I got the Philly with added green chile (hey, that rhymes), my mom the medium pulled pork sandwich, and my dad the reuben. We all got the seasoned Jo Jo potatoes as a side, with some crunch on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. It was my first time having a Philly and the green chile just added that extra kick. You could actually see the steam coming out of the sandwich even halfway through. Staff was extremely friendly. Stopped by here on our way back from driving up to the Crest. High hopes. Should have adjusted our expectations. The young ladies who took our order and delivered our food to the car were extremely pleasant and professional. Sporting their required facial coverings, we also complied with the social distancing recommendations. We ordered a full slab, with two sides: fried okra and "jo-jo" slab-type fries. Both sides were delicious. The order came with 2 cold slices of what looked like Wonder Bread, barely toasted, with some type of yellowish concoction lightly coating it. And now the ribs. We are huge fans of Rudy's ribs, despite their Texas heritage. We know Rudy's. These, my friends, were NOT Rudy's. First of all, they were cold. They were burnt. They were as dry as (expletive deleted). My better half theorizes that they may have been the prior day's leftovers, reserved for drive-up customers who would take their orders home and find out there how disappointing they were. Perhaps if we chose to dine on their patio, we would have been served fresh offerings. Who knows? After eating all the okra, a rib each, and a few fries in our car in the parking lot, we took them home to administer intensive care, hoping that we could salvage what was not an inexpensive ($30+) meal. That price didn't even include something wet to drink after the ribs dried out our mouths! Once we got home, my bride mixed up her famous BBQ sauce and we slathered it on the ribs to post-marinate them, as it were, in the refrigerator overnight.
