I've been to The Coupe and Flute twice now and both times were fantastic experiences. Everything is perfect: the thoughtful menu and beautifully played dishes, the moody but delicate interior, the knowledgable and attentive staff... I love it here! The Sticky Toffee Pudding is to die for. It's topped with a miso toffee sauce, which isn't too sweet nor too heavy. I would honestly come back any day just for a glass of champagne and dessert.

The duck liver mousse + fries = an experimental but elite combo. Super cute and cozy place for light bites and drinks. While a champagne bar, I've only had cocktails here but the ones I've tried have all been good. Food is on the lighter side (unless you're there for brunch) but you could come here for a meal by ordering a few different things. Street parking only. Usually not hard to find a spot down a side street. Service has always been great.

Honestly great quaint spot that did a fantastic duck Benedict. Service was good as well. Would recommend anyone swing by for their brunch as it didn't seem too packed and was able to reserve relatively last minute. The French onion soup duck stock was fantastic bordering on jarring levels of umami!

Stopped here for a light dinner with my mom. We had the caviar, crab cakes, and a bottle of special club! Everything was divine and the service was amazing. The owner just so happened to be enjoying dinner next to us and recommended we don't skip out on dessert. We are so glad we didn't! As caramel lovers this was right up our alley. It had rich, buttery caramel over the top that was the most amazing end to our dinner!

This is my go-to spot whenever I'm in the mood for a casual drink. Definitely a great place for champagne and wine. It's a cute, cozy neighborhood spot with good food, reasonable prices, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Every time I come, I end up ordering the cauliflower and the bao buns--they're just that good. On my last visit, I tried the galbi-jjim bao, which was generous in portion and really flavorful. The cauliflower dish feels almost like a fresh salad, light and easy to eat, and the gnocchi with chipotle sauce had a nice subtle kick. The focaccia and sardines paired perfectly with champagne and white wine. Right next door is Homer, a very popular restaurant, and I've been to both--but honestly, I prefer this place. Maybe it's a bit less trendy because there aren't many main-course options, but everything I've tried here has been consistently delicious. Overall, it's just a comfortable, inviting spot that's perfect when you want good food and a relaxed drink. Also staff are friendly and welcoming. I've been back many times and will definitely keep coming.

Saturday lunch, made reservation for 3 to have a girls date for a friend's belated birthday. Service was absolutely amazing~ our waitress was patient, attentive, understanding (we were there chatting for 3 hours) and she was extremely kind. Love the warm greeting and continuous service they provide. Food: we decided to share our plates since portions were massive! Deviled tea eggs 8/10 Roasted cauliflower frittata 10/10 C&F BLT sandwich with side of fries 10/10 Tempura battered cream puffs 9/10 The highlight was the frittata for me! I love the mound of arugula and how cheesy the frittata is! Our server mentioned the croissant madame is also a popular dish but I'll probably come back to try it with my husband. Cocktails are delicious. From NA cocktails like Garden Party to something more bold like the Front Porch Sangria. All very enjoyable. Would love to come back for dinner. Charming interior with wooden bench seating, antique silverware, quirky/fun wallpaper and cool open bar. Parking is ample in the residential streets nearby. Definitely a restaurant you should check out if in the area! Thanks C&F! Well done!

Great spot for happy hour! I had been eyeing this place for a while and was glad my friend suggested it for happy hour! My friend and I got some tequila passionfruit based cocktails to start and some appetizers! Our favorites infused the duck mouse which was a very generous portion and the kimchi arancini! My only suggestion would be that I wished the duck mouse came with more bread bites to dip as we had a lot of duck mouse left over.

Such a cute little spot! We were on EST, so I think we arrived very early for brunch (10am on a Saturday). The place was pretty empty, but that meant more space for us, and our champagne! We started off with the Tempura Battered Cheese Puffs, which were tasty but a little sweet for me! The standout here was the Braised Duck Benedict! The hoisin butter, duck and hollandaise sauce were an epic combo! Of course I had to try the champagne flight, that was the perfect compliment to the dishes.

This is such a cute, cozy brunch spot in the Beacon Hill area. We made reservations 2 weeks in advance just in case, to guarantee the specific time we could make (10am), but you could also walk in if your plans are impromptu. You can reserve for the table or the bar. We chose table as we are focusing more on the food and it looks more suitable for a date-like ambience but the bar is also nice for more drinks-focused experience. We got the royal flight and French press coffee for drinks. The royal flight features 4 x 2oz of champagne so you get to try a variety. They were decent but a bit of a splurge. It enhances the brunch experience since you will feel classy eating brunch with champagne. For food we got: - Deviled tea eggs: I love tea eggs and this place does it quite well too! The filling did not overpower the actual flavor of the eggs, and I always enjoy Asian flavors in my dishes. - Tempura battered cream puffs: also delicious. A bit oily and filling, but it is to be expected since it is deep fried. There is a good amount of sweetness in the cream puff, and the batter is quite crispy and flavorful. There is berry compote on the side to enhance the flavor, but I used that sparingly as it is quite flavorful and the cream puffs are already sweet. This is definitely a must-get - you don't really see this that frequently in other brunch spots - Braised duck benedict - quack quack. My girlfriend loves duck so this makes this dish another hit. The English muffin is toasted which gives an additional dimension of texture to the dish. The poached egg is perfectly made runny. It comes with fries that were okay but I do love the dipping sauce. Service is good as water refills were present and the waiter checks up on you once in a while. Overall, this is one of the better brunch spots in Seattle and serves a great addition to my curated Seattle best of the best list!

Food was good/interesting. Definitely order the tempura beignets... those were crunchy and perfectly sweet. We also ordered the tea eggs but those had an odd after taste. For my main course I ordered the cod bagel. If you like seafood/fish this would be a great try. Served cold. Street parking was no issue. Recommend a reservation as the restaurant is really small.

Coupe and Flute is a hidden gem in Beacon Hill, Seattle serving up cozy brunch, happy hour, and dinner. They're actually a champagne-forward restaurant, but I don't really order drinks and still had a great time with the food. Some of the flavors are Asian inspired, like the deviled tea eggs and tempura cream puffs, which were such a fun fusion. Those two, while appetizers, were my favorite items from brunch. We also ordered the braised duck Benedict and the roasted cauliflower frittata (promise it's under the pile of arugula!). The braised duck was flavorful and tender, but not life-changing. The frittata was just okay; if I came again, I would probably pass on this dish. But the tempura cream puffs were truly life changing -- light, airy, crispy, creamy, and perfectly lightly sweet. Service was impeccable as staff switched out our silverware between each course, hung our coats, and refilled waters. They also asked us the order we'd like to receive our dishes. The restaurant is close to the beacon hill light rail station which makes it convenient to dine at. If you're driving, you will likely have to find street parking, which is relatively easy in the residential area. I would love to come try this place out for dinner sometime as well, and, maybe some champagne!

This place is tucked away in Seattle right off the I-90. It was easy to access, and on Saturday we had no difficulty finding street parking. When you go in, it is a cozy and intimate restaurant with a few tables and lively conversation. The food was amazing!! My friends ordered the champagne flight with a generous amount and quality champagne. My cauliflower frittata was so rich, I had to take the rest home for later. We also enjoyed a 32 oz. French press coffee that was so smooth, I decided to drink it without cream or sugar. I like how close you get to sit with your friends and catch up. J will be back to try the duck Benedict, as I heard that is a house specialty! Be prepared to get push back on splitting the check, our server was actually pretty rude about the request. We figured it out and sent money to each other after. The man helping the server was amazing and provided the majority of our service even though he wasn't our assigned server. I wish knew his name because, we really appreciated his customer service with a smile!

Amazing wines, creative cocktails, solid snacks, great service and even games. You could wander in "for one flight" and somehow emerge six hours later wondering where the time went (in the best way.) On the wine side, they offer several thoughtfully curated flights, or you can build your own adventure. Which I highly recommend. The dessert wines alone are incredible, and the selection of aromatic whites is seriously impressive. No matter your palate, there's something here that will make you pause, sip again, and nod approvingly. And then there are the wine-based cocktails that deserve their own standing ovation. A wine tasting room doing cocktails this well is rare. We tried the Espresso Martini, the French 125, and the Lavender Lemon Martini, and every single one was better than I expected grape-based cocktails to be. Like, pleasantly shocked. Bottom line: if you're anywhere near Pike Place and enjoy wine (or cocktails, or fun, or all of the above) this place is a must. I can almost guarantee it'll become your new favorite spot.

This used to be one of my favorite spots at Pike Market. For years, I made it a tradition to bring out-of-town guests here. Over time, I have brought more than 100 people here. It had a charming, warm, and welcoming feel--like a hidden gem in the city. It oozed with kindness and fun. Unfortunately, that has completely flipped! Since the new manager, Anthony, took over, the entire atmosphere has shocked me. What was once inviting now is rigid, cold, and unwelcoming. The biggest issue, however, was the way I was treated. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which was both surprising and disappointing given my long history with this place. Great establishments are built not just on food or ambiance, but on how people are treated--and that piece is clearly missing now. It's especially unfortunate because the rest of the team still shows glimpses of what this place used to be. Jordon, was genuinely kind and pleasant, but one positive interaction couldn't outweigh the manager's miserable attitude. It's hard to see a place that once felt so special lose its charm like this. I know the winemaker Paul is a great person - so it is hard to leave such a terrible review, but at the same time, if this was my place -- I would want to know what was happening behind the scenes at my establishment. I truly hope leadership reflects on how customer experience is being handled moving forward. Don't give money to places that have toxic attitudes and are joy crushers! Life is too short and far too precious! In the meantime, there are many nearby spots that consistently deliver both quality and incredible hospitality. Skip this place, and instead go to Browne Family Vineyards Tasting Room, The Lonely Siren, The Pink Door, Place Pigalle, or Maximilien. Those places are working very hard to create an exceptional experience!

Instagram : @yeapeats…read more I was excited to try Needle & Thread since it's often described as a speakeasy, but the "hidden" aspect didn't quite live up to expectations. Unlike other speakeasies that feel truly hidden, you actually just walk into Tavern Law, check in with the hostess, and let them know you have a reservation. They then guide you to a telephone where you repeat your reservation name before being let upstairs. It's a fun concept, but not especially secretive, and they're pretty strict about not letting you up early unless it's very empty. Once seated, we actually waited almost 20 minutes before being served with no acknowledgement. We ended up having to flag down the manager just to bring attention to our table, which was disappointing given the experience they're aiming for. The waitress asks a series of questions about your preferences--likes, dislikes, and flavor inspirations--so the bartenders can create custom cocktails for you. If you're knowledgeable about alcohol, this is probably a dream. If you're not (like me), it can feel a little intimidating, but our waitress was patient and did her best to guide us through it. The drinks themselves were excellent. Even the shots were customized, which was a nice touch. The vibe upstairs is chill and relatively quiet, making it a great place to relax and talk. Food is the same menu as downstairs at Tavern Law, so nothing new there. The only downside--and unfortunately a noticeable one--was an interaction with the female bartender (not our waitress). Based on the questions we were asked, my friend gave a mix of savory and sweet preferences, since we were told these were just inspirations. However, the female bartender came over sounding visibly annoyed and said, "So do you want savory or sweet? You're giving contradicting answers." The tone felt unnecessarily rude, especially since we were just following the process as it was explained to us. Overall, the drinks were great and the concept is unique, but between the delayed service and that negative interaction, it definitely put a damper on the experience.

I am so grateful for my experience at Life On Mars. It turned out to be the highlight of a…read moretumultuous Seattle trip and I look back on it fondly. We came here mostly for one thing: I absolutely could not wait for their gluten-free vegan chick'n pot pie. A pie i'd been waiting months to try. A pie unlike any other pie. A pie that I still think about to this day. We walked straight into a Cardi B drag show. And by "walked into" I mean we opened the door and Hot Pink Shade sashayed right in front of us. It was exactly the kind of welcome we love. It was also the first green flag in a sea of green flags at Life On Mars. I could barely sit still as I waited to order my GF/VG pot pie. We got the drinks outta the way (a peach hard cider for me and a fancy-schmancy cocktail for the lady). I was positively GIDDY when Anna came to take our order and I blurted out chick'n pot pie excitedly. I nearly died when she said they didn't have any. Normally it wouldn't have been such a big deal, but I was from out of town and had literally been craving this damn pie for months! And I lied, I didn't nearly die but I DID nearly cry and that's almost as bad. Even the bestie lamented about what a let down this was. Anna. Dear, sweet Anna. We must have looked really hard up because this sweet baby angel offered to ask the cooks if they could whip one up special just for me. Let me tell you why this is a big deal: For one, she didn't need to do that. That's going above and beyond, and she was such a graceful little buttercup when she did it. Second, making a gluten free biscuit is a finicky, precise, detailed process. It sucks, honestly, and I don't blame them for not having them every day. I nearly cried when she came back and told us the cooks said YES. And this time i'm not lying. It was beyond the type of customer service i'm used to. It was.... humane. It was...empathetic. It was...totally first world problems but it meant so much to me! Especially since Anna said it had been a DAY and she was at her wits end. For her to have a rough day and still have the grace and compassion to make my stupid GF/VG chick'n pot pie dreams come true.....well, yeah, it made me a bit teary eyed. The pot pie was delicious, as expected. It was nostalgic and comforting, like a big hug in a bowl. The flavors were rich and deep, the biscuit soft and flaky; it was one of the most delicious things i've tasted on my GF/VEG journey. Between the food, the drinks, the customer service and the drag show......this was five stars all around. No doubt. I don't see the GF chick'n pot pie on their menu anymore. Maybe it's a seasonal thing? I hope it comes back, i'll be checking. And when it pops up again, so will I. Thank you, Anna. Thank you to the cooks on 2/19/26. Thank you to Hot Pink Shade, ISIS and King Leo Mane.
