Bro! I legit think the basketball club that plays out the courts, the Oregon Basketball Club, should be dropped. They don't give a poop squat about the people who pay them to train they kids. I paid for a couple seasons for my nephew and we been waiting six weeks to hear if we even playing in July much less taking all those trips promised at the beginning of each season. Bro, straight up, the guy who directs this place sat there and blabbed about how this a family and they all grow together and how the boys would be going on trips and doing team bonding, first thing I taught my nephew....DONT LIE when he was like two. Two seasons I hear all these great things come out dudes mouth and how great it is there but WTF because none of it happened. We had to hunt down parent info to ask if anyone had any info. Nope. I talked to five families who sent a total of 19 emails and not one was answered. We pay these guys a lot of money and they can't even answer these people they say is their family? You got one screwed up family then. Two families bought tickets to places they don't even know if they going to. The place can't answer an email to save their life. The director talked about all these perks for signing up our players and NONE happened. They do not care about you, they do not care about them players, they only care about themselves and I had to hunt down bros number on the white pages to ask there the JULY, like in the summer ya'll when families want to travel, schedule is and if we going or not going and I got "who this?" As a reply. No apology or answers. Last season we showed up to two games and had to forfeit because these coaches send out emails to tell everyone RSVP and then don't check the app to make sure they have enough players so thanks for the drive two hours away. Spent the day there for my daughter's 16U volleyball tournament. The place is a dump. Dirty bathrooms. The men's room paper towel dispenser was empty for the majority of the day. Janitorial supplies and equipment strewn all around the facility. Tiny bleachers and super cramped seating. One court didnt even have enough room to serve legally, so the team on that side was allowed to cross the back line while serving without penalty. The "cafe" was dirty and cramped. Volleyball Games at the Courts The parking space was limited. Signs everywhere saying no parking in the lot. Bathroom is a couple stalls with shutters as doors. Seating did allow a good view of the game. Nice "camp" area for the players to relax. Very noisy, lots of people though. read more

The bathroom doors are plywood with hinges and a hook, the stadium seats (of which there are too few) are concaved and bent, and though they require you to buy their concessions they offer very little. This is a review from the perspective of a former employee, so interpret this however you feel. Disclaimer: I haven't worked here since November 2015 so I have every right to post a review without legal repercussions. I got a job working here because my ex(bf at the time) also worked here. I needed a part time job while in school and full time employment over summer to make some extra money to support myself. I originally started out at the Eastmoreland facility and eventually transferred over to the Beaverton faciliity because they felt I was too old and responsible at Eastmoreland so I moved to Beaverton. I primarly worked mornings and weekends when I started out. Working with my bf at the time was a mistake. He bullied me, harassed me and caused drama between me and the other coworkers, especially in the mornings. I was constantly threatened by the managers, him and the owner for not following the rules that they constantly changed. I was still learning but was being reprimanded for learning mistakes. I was constantly threatened that I would lose my hours because I didn't feed into drama. My ex brought in his friends who worked at the call center to try and start drama between us. He couldn't seperate our life at home from work. He constantly had our other coworker stalk me on facebook and on days he wasn't there and then he would bitch at me when I came home--she was making stuff up as to start drama. I can't trust high schoolers or people woth high school mentality, either. My ex was very irresponsible with his job and almost got fired once for being late so many times, yes I was still underpaid and always on watch just because I came to work to do my job. I was almost fired because I wasn't given proper notice to obtain my OLCC and put on suspension until I got it. This is happening while my ex is fuling more drama about me and creating a hostile work environment with the team and giving false impressions of me to the customers who came in. They would request him over me. He would fight with me during a breakfast or lunch rush and blame is problems on me. The manager at the time was always late and a poor manager. She caused the owner to change policy and get the operations manger involved because she wasn't following protocol for opening and closing. This of course causes the manager to call a meeting and we all get chewed out for something even if you didn't do anything. She would make something up just so you would be "treated" fairly. I was constantly on watch just because my ex caused drama and wanted me to be fired. He would cry all day and get into fights with the supervisor and then blame me for how her emotional unstable overweight ass would lash out at me because I wasn't feeding their drama. I eventually got fed up with it. Working at this job cause us to break up and I eventually left. I was tired of the drama, narcissism from unstable women and a flamboyant drunk ex(who did show up to work drunk a few times) so I gave my notice via text and left thereafter. It's been a few years since I worked there so I don't know who owns it or if my ex is still there, but this is a place I will never recommend anyone work. You get no health insurance, no benefits, to paid time or unpaid time off and no balance to your life. This is a small business so you have no protections from getting fired or written up. If someone doesn't like you, they will find ways to get you to quit(like they did with me--by cutting my hours and making me work days I had other things planned). The owner is a cheap pig and doesn't keep the facility up. It's outdated, dilapidated and the food is fro sysco or cash and carry. It's expensive and not any better then you can make at home or buy cheaper from grocery stores. The facility is disorganized and filthy. It smells like piss and mold. It's not pretty to look at and noisy because of the gym which is overcrowded and small. The volleyball coaches there are rude and disrespectful to the employees and drunk customers are obnoxious. The employees are underpaid and overworked and show favorites to women over men there--unless you're my ex of course. You are expected to do everything yourself with little to no training or explanation. If you desire to work here, take these suggestions into consideration: 1. Be female. 2. Be of high school age. 3. Be a flamboyant gay man with an alcohol and smoking problem. 4. Expect low pay and a lot of work. 5. Have low expectations and don't expect equal or fair treatment. This place it like high school. 5. Don't expect to have a life outside of work. Sidenote: The managers who work here are very unprofessional. They don't e mail you back, are rude to you and text your personal number and ask you to work on your off days so they can sleep in from being drunk the night before. Overall, I don't have anything positive to say about this place. It's antiquated and toxic to work in. Support other business near by. Not this place. read more

We were at The Courts for a volleyball "friendship" this weekend. This tournament was hosted by their own volleyball team OJVA. You would think they would take more pride and more care of their own facility. This place as gone so far down hill. We were on Court 6 and all I could smell was mold. I kept looking around to find the source, and the large steel beams have space around them going down into the ground- I think that must be where it's coming from. It was so awful I had to cover my nose. The bathrooms are completely hideous. The floor is covered in water with paper towels and toilet paper stuck every. The garbage can is overflowing. The stalls have homemade plywood doors that don't close properly- one doesn't even latch at all. The stalls do not have trash receptacles so all the used products girls must use are being put in the toilet seat cover holder attached to the wall. Of course that is empty - they do not provide toilet seat covers, I felt lucky there was toilet paper. Girls don't know where else to put the trash from used feminine hygiene products!!!!! I have been told the men's bathroom is just as bad. This place is FILTHY. For as much money as they take in from their updated $6 entrance fee to all the fees they take in from each OJVA volleyball player - they can afford to put effort into their home facility. The kitchen they have doesn't look clean - the floors are dirty. It's just a gross place, worthy of the a health inspection. read more

Terrible experience! I went to check out drop in volleyball for the first time tonight. The website said established teams are not allowed but of course fair teams were never chosen at random so league teams played together and dominated. $4 isn't much for a couple hours of entertainment and I didn't expect much but is it really too much to ask the staff that took my money to put his weed pipe down long enough to coordinate counting out some random teams at the beginning of the outing?? Guess so. The team I ended up on never even came close to winning a game...and of course teams never changed...not much fun. Glad the league teams got some good practice in though. Have been here three times for open gym volleyball and have loved it two out of the three times. Definitely a fun place to play volleyball but amateurs be warned: the play is competitive and you are expected to know what you are doing regardless of which court you are on. You're generally expected to show up with your team of 5-7 people but singles and doubles usually band together to form a full team. A really great place to play volleyball on a Friday night and get better playing with some great and nice people! read more

My 3 kids complain about this armpit when we have to play basketball here. I've managed to avoid this place for 7 years of youth basketball until this past weekend. I see why my kids abhor the courts. I'm used to parking issues at every basketball facility, so this wasn't surprising to me. What shocked me wasn't the slippery floors and lack of viewing areas. I was aghast at the serious safety issues here. No runoff under the baskets along the baselines. It's either netting or poorly padded concrete block walls. There is so little space along the sidelines that the scorers table actually sits over the sideline and is on the playing surface by several inches! There are exposed pipes and steel I-beams along the sidelines too. This is unacceptable! Then the signs saying "no outside food or drink" or else your team will be penalized 5 points (13 for volleyball). What? I don't let my kids eat garbage food (muffins, chips, greasy nasty hot dogs) between games, so we have to go to the parking lot to eat our healthy foods. I totally support not allowing drinks other than water though. The seating area by the overpriced food is decent, and the restrooms are nasty. Maybe the courts are good for volleyball, but for basketball this place is the worst in the Portland metro area, without a doubt. read more

Not welcoming at all. Multiple signs posted everywhere (no outside food or drink, no food/drinks on courts (only water bottles), no gum, no cell phones in eating area, no bags in eating area, no tables/chairs in the parking lot, etc) The bathrooms are strange (what's up the the "saloon doors"?) and the toilet paper/paper towels aren't restocked regularly. The facility it'self is filthy, smells funky, and is unsafe (i saw several people trip on the nets laying on the ground). The parking is horrible and the food "rules" are ridiculous. They don't allow any outside food or drink yet their cafe offers very few healthy food options for the athletes. And the lines are always super long. Even if the players want to purchase something, they many times don't have the time to order, wait and eat before their next game. They don't allow teams to pop up a table, chairs or canopy in the parking lot, so everyone is forced to eat in their cars (which are usually parked a million miles away). I have been coming to tournaments at The Courts for years and I always walk away extremely disappointed. read more
