Every bowling alley I have been too is like stepping back in time a decade or too. They're aren't updated often. The people you see there, couples on dates, teenagers having a good time, the league bowlers, the people like me looking for a good activity for a small family event. Tigard bowl is a nice little bowling alley that will provide entertainment for you, your group, or family. The food and beer is right on par with what you'd expect. We didn't interact with staff much, which is usually a good sign that the lanes are working properly. We also didn't order food or drink but they have a typical pub food type menu. The place is definitely dated, from the exterior to the interior to the animations that play on screens. Or maybe you want to call it old school! I think it's priced alright given that. Always a high class establishment. Run by a couple. A family really. Always clean always well maintained machines, lanes, and seating area. Caters to both league bowlers (host many tournament especially in the summer call ahead for lane availability) and people families just looking for a fun time. Reasonable party or birthday party rates that really makes for a fun time. Computer graphics and themes to choose from. You can tailor your experience to your audience. Plenty of assistance from the pro shop. Free lessons to every bowler if you ask. Just to be clear the lesson is free the bowling is not. Food menu is limited because of Covid but what the do is good. Prices are in line with what you get. It's not gourmet but it's better than average family fun center food. Again reasonable prices make it taste even better. Decided to try out a new bowling spot for family night, decided I wanted a beer so I went to the counter and was greeted with a "sup" while the worker was staring at her phone. I said I'd like a beer and during the interaction she made no further comments, I took my beer and walked off as she said "looks like you haven't been to many bars" I politely replied with "what do you mean" she goes on to say that when you order a beverage you are supposed to tip. I simply said I tip when I receive good service... she then got very defensive and was extremely rude the rest of the night. Not to mention my beer smelled like cigarettes because they have to open it for you and she clearly didn't wash her hands. Gross environment and gross establishment. We went in there to bowl as a family and the lady at the front was extremely rude. she ignored us because we didn't have a reservation even though we called ahead and told there was no wait. My son had brought in a bag of goldfish and when I saw the sign that said no outside food I pointed it out to him and told him I'd put them in my bag until we left after bowling. She watched this whole interaction and then after putting them in my bag she told us he was not allowed to have those inside at all and was extremely rude about it. Then once she finally helped us she got all of our shoes and everything before telling us that our 5 year old wouldn't be able to bowl because they have no ramps. It was a really bad experience with how rude she was and disappointing that they don't accommodate families. read more

Went today for 1st time. Oh yeah, was with two 3 year olds. The staff was so helpful and pretty darn wonderful. So very tolerant of my many questions. Food was great actually. This was one of the most DISAPPOINTING experiences I've ever had. Right off the bat when my group and I walked in it seemed like the lady in the front was ready for a fight. Halfway through a game where our newbies were using bumpers they went off. If I could give zero I would. The customer service was terrible. The front desk was very rude and seemed like they just didn't want us there. When we started bowling we used the bumpers for a couple new bowlers (adults) but when our second game started they turned off our bumpers repeatedly without talking to us. And a few minutes they came over and said "the bumpers are only for kids. You can't use them" every interaction with staff was entirely negative with the only exception being the bartender. read more

Incompetent staff. Asked for 2 lanes and first they say "sure". Only to be called back and told oh no you can have 7 people on one lane. So we get there and there are open lanes the entire time we're bowling. Like 5 open lanes at a time. So I ask again after the first game, "do you have open lanes?" And she says "yes, how many?" And I tell her we'll actually we'd just like to get another lane because It took an hour and 1/2 to bowl a single game with 7 people. Let me tell you, it's not fun bowling with that many people on a lane. Then some rude woman with long dark hair comes up and and is a total C word. She just says "nope!" So we bowl 1 more game with someone sitting out and they continued to have 5 open lanes the entire second game as well. I will not come back because the staff is rude and incompetent. Tigard bowl is an amazing establishment. Friendly family and fun for the adults too (full bar ). Bowling rentals are cheap and a great form of entertainment. The establishment is like a time capsule from the 90s but it is well kept and clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They clearly enjoy their job. we had to leave early due to a restraining order but they did not care and still charged us for the 4 games bowled. We did not use this our fourth bowling game. we used only 3 games for our 1 lane). we had to leave 2 bowls in to our 4 game because of 3 men who showed up most likely to harass my other friend.. there was no reason they should know we were bowling at that bowling alley and at that time. I understand money is a factor although we did already spend at least $60 at the bar at the time and still no consideration was taken into the fact that we still need to leave early for safety reasons. For that reason I was disappointed and give them one star out of five I hope they understand that victims of harassment need to be taken seriously. read more

Can you believe it? They kicked me out because I kept bowling 300 games. Something about "breaking the pins" or some nonsense. I'm lying, ha-ha-ha-ha. How very funny and clever I am. ha-ha-ha-ha. Really enjoyed bowling a couple of games here...we did the neon nuclear bowling thing on a Saturday night, and it was a lot of fun. The atmosphere was very relaxed and family friendly (not that I have a family, but I am friendly, so "family friendly" suits me just fine). Staff were super nice, and from the time we walked through the door until the time we were at our lane lacing up our (awesome) shoes, no more than 5 minutes elapsed. This is my favorite bowling alley I have ever been to. I love the small-town feel and the atmosphere of an updated version on the classic game. There are 14 lanes, but it is really easy to get one at almost any time. The lanes are very high quality and the equipment won't ruin your gear, so bring your best stuff and try to get some huge scores. The staff is really good all around. The bathrooms are clean, the tech stuff always works, and the food is A+. Their fries are seriously the best!!! Their bowling shop pro, Mark Pearl, has drilled three balls for me now and they are perfect. One of them was a plug/redrill and resurface on an old ball that sparked back to life. He is an experienced pro who has helped several of my friends and myself improve averages by 30-50 pins! One of the dudes that takes care of the lanes, Andrew, is super passionate and does a wonderful job of keeping the bowling equipment always working and lanes primed for some killer scores. My pro tips: -lane 14 is the hardest -the Caesar salad is humongous, but the wrap isn't. -join a league! Fun for all ages and skill levels. Very inviting and unassuming people here. read more

Beer runs under $4 bucks a cup/bottle and the 3 item menu (dog/nacho/popcorn) is cheap city. All tolled - under $40.00 night. Discovered that I inconsistent bowler - a gutter ball, a single....followed by a couple of strikes, a spare and some really sucky 3 pins. I hate losing, but I still loved this place. If you go on a date with a contender or the love of your life, you get the added bonus of checking out your partner's ass OVER AND OVER AND OVER.... Been here twice in the last week. My kids have come for field trips but I'd never been. Lots of open bowling hours and snacks and bar available. They will also let you order from pizza caboose. Kids had fun with the easy to use terminals where they could even take a selfie for the screen celebrations and scores. Old school bowling seats which made me happy. Since the a/c was fixed, I find myself here about 5 X's a week. My son, wife and I LOVE bowling here. The staff is way more friendly than I thought, mostly because I took the time to TALK to them instead of at them. They know our names, our shoe sizes and even got me to order a ball for my boy and I! Was it just me or were we the oldest people in there? It was a Wednesday night. Top 40 pumpin' through the speakers and the typical glow-in-the-dark decor everywhere. High schoolers abundant. It is not a large bowling facility and definitely a bit divey. However, with the small selection of beer and wine that they do indeed have....it's cheap...and cheap is good. 2 beers and a glass of wine for $10....oh heck yes. My family has been coming here for years. It's family ran which is nice. They added the full bar a while ago, makes it nice for the adults! I went here with a group of friends on 1/19 for cosmic bowling. It seemed like your average locally owned bowling alley so we played a couple of games and had fun. What struck me on the wrong note was a cashier employee who singled me out and started belittling me in a racist tone. It made me feel uncomfortable and subhuman. All I wanted to do was use a coupon but I didn't read the fine print that it was supposed to be printed. If I was told this in a friendly, customer service way, it would've been fine. However, I was faced with a long, condescending response. I won't be recommending this bowling alley to anyone ESPECIALLY people of color. Old fashioned bowling at its best. This place will not overwhelm your senses with bright lights, music and video. It is just pure, simple, enjoyable bowling. We bowled here on a Sunday morning not too long ago for $2 a game and had a great time and the equipment worked great. Even I'm not up for drinking at that hour but I did notice they had some Lagunitas in the cooler. So my beer belly definitely knows we will be happy at this place in the latter hours of the day. Stopped by the pro shop yesterday and the employee was very friendly and helpful. While I like to bowl recreationally, I've only done a few leagues, (beer leagues mind you) and consider myself a novice. My post work brain conveniently chose this moment to stop working and I could not articulate what I was looking for. Before I could resort to gibberish and drooling, the employee asked a few quick questions, found exactly what I was looking for and saved me from further embarrassing myself. I will probably come back to check out the Quartermania at some point, $6 cover charge for quarter bowling and shoe rental each. $1 Bud Light, nachos or popcorn. Prices are on par with most the bowling alleys in town. $3 Monday-Friday 9-5, Open bowling, $4 per game, Glo (or cosmic)-$4.50 per game. Shoe rental is $3.25 with socks. I can't comment as to the shoe rental because I have my own shoes, but I'm guessing you get to keep the socks per another review. Any place that gives you socks is cool in my book! read more
