We are locals and I'm kind of obsessed with their soups. Although they didn't have a soup I'd eat tonight, I saw a veg lasagna on the specials menu so we headed in for dinner. To start, we got the spinach dip, which was tasty. Our daughter got the kid's chicken tender meal and ate every single bite of her chicken which is really rare for her! Unfortunately, they server let me know that the lasagna special was only for lunch so I made a very strange order of French dip minus the beef on the sandwich and my husband got the shrimp. Now why this review is 5 stars: about 3 minutes after we ordered, someone (the manager?) came and asked if there's anything else they can add to my sandwich to make it more hearty since I'd said no beef. He then came back and let me know they do still have the veg lasagna if I was interested! I really felt like both our server and the manager cared that we got a good meal and I really appreciated it. BE AWARE. For ten minutes I watched the line cook prepare the food with NO GLOVES!! His two other colleagues had them but not him. Stopped in Courtyard for a quick bite to eat and we just missed the rush. We were seated quickly at a booth for 2 and about 10 minutes later a large line flooded to the doorway all the way from the hostess stand. This place is filled with charm and definitely has their fair share of regulars and a charming following from the city. I have been here a few times but this was my first time back since the reopening. For the most part the service is friendly, sometimes it can feel a bit rushed from the times I have been in here and the staff can come across as being short with you but they tend to get busy so it is understandable for the most part. The menu at the Courtyard is HUGE. There is a ton of options to choose from. The prices may seem a bit pricy but I honestly think they are good for the portion sizes and you definitely get your moneys worth. We got the french onion soup which was delish and had a good ratio of all the ingredients. The salad was great and the steak was cooked to perfection. I was not a big fan of the garlic bread as it lacked flavor and felt a bit slapped together but that is okay as it is a side. The personal pizza was awesome and was loaded with toppings. The only downside to ordering the pizza is it does take awhile as it is made to order so be prepared to be waiting a hot minute if you do decide to order one. Nonetheless, worth the wait! If you are in the area and craving some comfort food or just want a menu with a little bit of everything, this is a good place to come to. The family got together to celebrate my birthday. All of us enjoyed our meals. The menu is enormous and I recommend either checking out the website or allowing a little extra time to make your choice. I got the grilled filet croissant. Delicious. Though I would have preferred fresh mushrooms. The twice baked potato was so creamy and cheesy. My sister enjoyed her pesto chicken sandwich and my brother got chicken parmigiana. He especially enjoyed the fact that the chicken is grilled, not fried. My brother in law got the same as me, and my cousin got a wonderful pizza that he raved about. I think it was the Rockefeller. The ambience is casual, and the service was great. We didn't feel rushed at all. It was a Saturday afternoon and we were able to make reservations as well. I will definitely be back. Love the food. We sat in a 4 top table by the dumbwaiter. It was at 1:30pm after the lunch rush. Staff was yelling back and forth to one another instead of walking up to each other to talk. The lady taking the cutlery out of the rack was throwing it in the bin for sorting making lots of noise. We couldn't even concentrate on our conversation as it was always being interrupted by the yelling and unnecessary noise. We are aware of the tin ceilings that bounce the noise etc, but this yelljng was really unprofessional and we did not enjoy our luncheon out. With the cost of eating out now a days, it nice to would have been nice to have a conversation and not be battling with the noise from the staff. Somehow this place is packed, and I can't quite figure out why. Maybe it's the only restaurant within a 10-mile radius that remembered to turn the lights on? The food tastes like it was made by someone who read about flavor in a book once, and the service moves like they're trying to set a personal record for "fastest table turnover." It's so cramped you'll learn more about your neighbor's dating life than your own dinner. I guess it's busy because this area's restaurant scene is... let's say "developing." We arrived at approximately 5:45pm on a Friday night, seated immediately near the kitchen area. The noise was ridiculously loud, with plates and silverware sounding as though it was thrown about to make as much noise as possible. You literally had to shout to be heard. This place always has a good customer cliental, coming and going, which after our visit I wonder why. My husband and I ordered the 10 oz. Strip steaks, his medium and mine rare, both overcooked, as well as the mixed vegetables. Rice and potato spud were both good, as well as the bread, which was nice and warm. For the price paid, the steaks should have been cooked as ordered. The waitress was friendly and courteous, asked how everything was, we accepted it as prepared, rather than put anything on her as she was quite busy. I might add that they tag on a 3% credit card fee automatically to the tab, had I not paid close attention, I would have based our tip on that total, rather than the sub-total with tax, since we paid with cash. read more

Excellent food for the price that is charged. There aren't other restaurants that have this quality at a reasonable price. The French Onion soup: salted the right amount, not over salted. A single bread crouton (correct method). Cheese and onions were good, and the soup was served at the correct temperature. This attention to detail is usually found only at finer restaurants. Spinach dip: Delicious. Not soupy; stiff and proportioned well. Excellent flavor. Corn bread topping on the dip. Baby back ribs: wonderfully cooked, falls off the bone. The rubbed on spicing is delicious - you can use the BBQ sauce but the meat flavor comes through best withe the spices. Highly recommended. read more

I love this little place that's tucked in the corner of the Brecksville Town Center. I had the chicken fiesta which is grilled chicken breast topped with sautéed diced tomatoes, scallions, melted cheddar and jack cheeses and served on a rice pilaf. It was absolutely fantastic. They also have different daily breads and muffins. The blueberry muffin is so good. My guest had the pizza. I tried a piece and it was very good. I'm starting to think every meal here is delicious. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. I highly recommend this place. read more

Excellent food and service! We were seated immediately and our server was very attentive. I ordered the strawberry salad with chicken. The salad was super yummy. The chicken was tender and seasoned well for the salad. The spinach and strawberries were very fresh. Excellent balance of ingredients to the spinach and meat. Liked the dressing too. Get the banana nut muffin with this salad. Great accompaniment! My friend enjoyed her wrap! Liked the ingredients inside and the wrap itself wasn't dry. A walk through the Courtyard to find what's totally good you so know that it's worth the walk either way as you'll end up at the Cafe this some say always makes for the very best day! Coming here I already knew it would be good why's this you ask? Well my friend Matt said he's been coming here for many many years and it's like his family's go to spot so when a friend says that to you they really can't be wrong! So to start we got fried pickles basically one of my favorite things on the planet and here they were no exception as they were totally delicious and more like little spears as you don't usually see them done this way the pickles also came with a side of this wasabi dipping sauce that just totally made them that much better in every way! Of the many delicious sounding choices I had to go with the pesto chicken sandwich as that just sounded good at the time and let me assure you it was awesome piled high with spinach on a good sized grilled chicken breast with a pesto sauce that had the the right amount of zest to it in every bite! Our service was awesome as they were super friendly and quick to bring us anything we needed the food was out in great time and the whole experience was super yummy and just mellow! Overall this is an awesome little hidden spot in the corner of a strip mall so don't overlook it as if you do you'll be missing out on some delicious goodness as it's for this reason I'm sure I'll be back here again with my friend Matt sometime soon! read more

Can't believe I've never been here! Came in for lunch on a Monday- place was hoping! Neat design and layout of the bar and dining room. Almost like a train station. Was quickly seated and served. Ordered the grilled chicken club wrap. Asked for the chicken to be buffaloed, but was told they don't have buffalo sauce. Odd, but okay. It was great nonetheless. I have tried many different selections from their menu including salads, burgers, seafood. I would have to say one of my favorites and what they seem to be known for is their chicken salad sandwich. It is so good! I'm not a fan of slivered almonds, but somehow I manage to eat this sandwich with them on it. Ha ha my son's favorite is their chicken pesto sandwich, which is huge! Well, I've decided recently that I'm not a super fan of this location. Disappointing, since it's within walking distance. It's just that it's very typical American food. If you're in to standard fare, then this place is for you. Most recently we ordered a caprese appetizer. The tomatoes were tasteless and it had no dressing. Not even a drizzle of olive oil. They do have tasty muffins, though, that we'll grab for take out at the register. I'm sure many folks would disagree with my review as evidenced by the hordes of people that go there. read more
