Extremely disappointing!!! If you have ever had Juicy Seafood or pretty much any other type of seafood boil then this ain't for you. The "Shack Sauce" is just a thin barbecue sauce. The "sausage" is one sausage that reminds me of cocktail weinees. Broccoli additions are literally entire heads of Broccoli not chopped not edible. We drove 15 minutes out of our way because the menu said po boys...there were none, so we had to punt. We ordered steamed crab legs, hush puppies & just for fun a side of crawfish. Other than the crab being super soggy it was delicious, the butter wasn't clarified so it was not great. The hush puppies were the star of the meal, a little remoulade drizzle that was flavorful & spot on. The crawfish were seasoned well and the tails were fine, but they were definitely dead before being cooked, the head had the gray/black gunge that gave it away. We had a great experience 1/17/25, we arrived 30 minutes before close and they still allowed us to dine in . The first time we visited was about a week before I had our first child and today was almost our year mark since returning. First, I will say I write a food blog, and was asked to come by several people to rate this restaurant. This was our second attempt it's almost 2 hours from my house. I arrived with my wife and my two grandchildren to try that all you can eat crab legs. We were informed that is not an option. I had called the day before to make sure of the hours they never once said anything about the menu change. Apparently they were going on vacation. I get that. I should've been informed when I called. That has nothing to do with the rating. My Wife and I had the dinner for two crab legs and shrimp with a house sauce. The grandbabies shared a pound of crab legs with the butter garlic. The shrimp crabs were cooked perfectly. It came with sausage, corn, broccoli, and potatoes. The problem I had was with the sauce. We have enjoyed crab legs all over this country and many out of this country. I have never had a sauce quite like this, and it was not appealing. Both the house sauce and the butter and garlic had the consistency of thin pancake batter. Really thick and the flavor just wasn't there for either. I tried my best to get the crab out of the shell without the sauce on it so that I can enjoy what I was going to pay for. I tried my best also to wipe off the corn and potatoes. However, staff was very friendly and attentive to all needs. We ordered the crab boil and fish sandwich. The boils have several sauces to choose from. The fish sandwich is whiting, but they also have a catfish plate that you can substitute if you prefer. The sandwich was good, and comes with a side. We had fries which were good as well. The crab legs were average, and the included corn on the cob and sausage was good. Overall, this place will satisfy your seafood craving, but it's a solid 3 stars. read more

Stopped in after taking a wrong turn off the interstate and just kept driving a bit thinking I'd come up on something fast food. Had decided to turn and head back and spotted this little place. I had shrimp lunch with fried okra and both were dropped fresh - the shrimp we're cooked perfectly as were the okra. Piping hot and the shrimp were a good size as well. I'd drop in again on purpose this time of the wife and family were coming through. I'd leave a picture but I ate it all - 100% only tails left. Showed up to the restaurant at 3:20 pm, found the front door locked with some people eating but also empty seating inside. I called before heading out to see if they had all-you-can-eat Crab Legs and they said yes so we drove 45 minutes to the restaurant since it is the only place that has it in our area in Smyrna. They only had 2 servers for like 12 tables which is the max that they have and it took us around 30+ minutes to even get greeted then they said they could not do all-you-can-eat Crab Legs which is the only reason we drove 45 to eat there. The actual Crab Leg plate was good but no better than Juicy Seafood which was way more convenient and it was missing items from each of our plates as it is supposed to come with Sausage, Potatoes, Broccoli, and an egg with the Crab Legs. Also please note that the bathroom is not wheelchair accessible as My mother in law is wheelchair bound and could not use the bathroom there as the toilet is on a step up. The place itself is really run down looking and shady looking but maybe it's older but needs to be touched up. Giving 2 stars as at least the Crab Legs tasted good. read more

I've been twice now for the all you can eat crab and once for the all you can eat shrimp. I had the cajun and my wife got the garlic crab legs. I'm not exaggerating when I say these are the best crab legs I've ever had, especially all you can eat crab legs! They're even better when you dip them in the cajun sauce, which is so good I can damn near drink it! We tried the white fish the last time we went there, and it turned out to be the best fried white fish I've ever ate! When is the all you can eat fried fish? lol I was in the military for 10 years and have ate at many different restaurants all over the US and other countries, and I Def put this place in the top 10. My family and I just moved to Lebanon last March and have had trouble finding good restaurants to eat at that are comparable to Johnson City, Knoxville, Honolulu, Virginia Beach, Houston, Galveston, Denver, and Parker, CO, but this place is Def up there with the best of them for sea food! Wish I could give 0 stars... service was less than lackluster, our appetizer was subpar, and the drinks (sweet tea) had a terrible aftertaste. It was also way too hot inside, like there was no air conditioner running at all. We left before we could order entrees. After letting the server know we were there for the first time and having time to look at the menu, we decided we would share a $40 entree to include a pound of crab and a 1/2 pound of shrimp, plus sides. There were smaller portion options but we wanted enough we knew we could share, but not too much to where we'd be wasting food. When she finally came back to take our order we let her know what we would have and she informed us we couldn't share this meal, that we had to order two. I told her I wasn't going to be able to finish a whole pound and a half myself. She was extremely rude in her delivery of this information. It should've been shared with us when we received the menus before we sat hungry deciding on a meal, only to be told something so ridiculous after making our decision. I then asked the server if we could just order it to go and take it home since we live around the corner, and she gave me a dirty look and said "I guess". I didn't see anything on the menu about this rule, and as a former server myself, I suspect maybe she made it up for a bigger tip. Recently opened, I think this place will be a hit. A few things need tweaking but overall a good experience. I ordered the crab legs boil. The corn on the cob was completely over cooked and the potatoes were over-roasted and dried out before being added to the boil. The broccoli in the boil was delicious but HUGE. No knives are available except a giant knife from the kitchen. It was a bit overpriced for the small amount of crab legs in the boil. (Four small legs, no claw, $24.99) My friends got crab cakes and fish sandwiches which they said were good. The fish sandwich was on white bread...boring. The buffalo shrimp were tasty. The hush puppies were good with a drizzle of sauce....could use more sauce. The napkins need replaced with rolls of paper towels...the napkins were terrible. Charging $2.50 for a bottle of water was crazy, not like it was special water. The banana pudding was tasty, served in a small canning jar, a little pricey at $6.50, with a large soup spoon. I like that you can pay with the QR code...if it prints on the receipt. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back to check it out again. read more

I ordered online for pick up and the order was ready when I arrived and the staff was very friendly and made sure the order was correct before I left. Great service!! But on to the food. My wife had the shrimp and broccoli and it was awesome! Delicious and cooked to perfection. I had the shrimp and grits and this was not breakfast grits with cold shrimp dumped on top, they were seasoned, the sausage was great and the grits were fluffy and flavorful, hard to come by this far from the ocean. Very disappointed. I left hungry after paying a $105 check ! The crab is awful. Salty and skinny. The sausage in the boil is sliced so thin it is actually dried out. You get 1/2 an ear of corn and 3 small itty bitty potato parts that taste like they were cooked a week ago. Why broccoli is in a boil is beyond me. Even if an Old Bay flavor was provided it would have tasted alot better. My husband got the lobster boil which consisted of one very tiny lobster tail , over cooked thin tasteless sausage, 1/2 an ear of corn and of course overcooked old potatoes and broccoli ! A boiled egg was also in each boil. I will not be dining here again as I feel ripped off. read more

Fancy, date night it's not but the service is super, fried shrimp were big and perfect. They had "all you can eat" crab legs, which I love. Served in an aluminum pan (yes, that's what t was in :). This place may just be the absolute worst place I've ever eaten, or not actually eaten. Paid extra for the seasonal Dungeness crab boil. The crab was absolutely inedible. It was an off white mash of crab goop. No flaky white meat. Got the garlic butter sauce and couldn't taste garlic. Got red beans and rice and it tasted like the bowl sat in a smoker for two days. Got some wings that were over cooked. Did I say wings? I meant drumsticks even though they say wings. Yup, 12 big round drumsticks came from an order of 12 wings. If there was even one flat that matched the size of the drums I would think they were wings but there wasn't one flat to compare. Tried calling the number they called me from when they gave my DoorDash driver the wrong order. (Yup, that happened too.) Nobody answered so I left a message stating my experience and was willing to bring the inedible crab to them to inspect. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt before I wrote this up, because I was hoping it was a supplier issue with the crab and not a crab shack issue. After being ignored, paying over $100 for an inedible meal, and having to throw it all out, I've decided it is a crab shack issue.
