Crab leg boil
Mark M.

The restaurant is in a little nook with other businesses. Parking was a little tough to find but we did alright. The atmosphere is very nice inside and is casual. The service was very good and prompt. The grouper had very good flavor and isn't fishy tasting. For those that don't like seafood I would recommend trying it. The crab leg boil was seasoned but didn't have much flavor to it. The fish tacos were fine. The steak was tender but didn't have much flavor to it either. It could have benefited from a touch of salt.

The Edge Burger + brussel sprouts

We visited during a holiday trip to Destin. It was a cold November evening. This spot is essentially outdoors - we just had basically see-through tarps covering open spaces. When we were seated, the host didn't offer to clean a table close to one of those standing heaters. Instead, we asked our server, who got someone to clean it so we could move. Apparently, this spot has really great views, but because of the season it was pitch black outside. When visiting a new restaurant, I tend to try a core item. Something they're know for or should definitely have down. So, I got their signature burger, which was honestly underwhelming. Their brussel sprouts were quite good, but could have used a bit more seasoning. I think I should have gotten some kind of seafood, because others in my party said they were fresh and tasty. Overall, I think they need an overhaul for accommodating low temp seasons and some pizzazz for late night diners.

Delicious seafood at a waterfront location. Great martinis. The server was great. iraeats #iraeats1

Meaty but old tasting

Just okay. On the water - rustic. The fish did not taste fresh and the cook on it had an old grease taste. Disappointing. Our server was just doing his job, no personality.

Amazing food, amazing view, and amazing service from Skylar. We stopped in for some appetizers and drinks and everything had so much flavor. We ordered the duck jalapeño poppers and fried calamari initially but everything was so good we stayed longer and ordered spinach and artichoke, her majesty oysters, and lobster roles (all three shown in pictures).

Her majesty oyster

Very disappointed We were excited to try a nice fancy restaurant for our last day in Destin, but we chose the wrong place for that. We arrived at 6 and the place was absolutely packed. We were ready to wait 2 hours because we're used to doing that at popular places during busy times. We got to the host (an older lady with blonde hair) we told her we had a party of 3. She said we could go upstairs and find a seat so we walked upstairs and the place was packed with people, no open seats, and tons of people watching like hawks for someone to get up. We go back down and ask her to put us on the wait list and she said she could sit us right away at the bar around the corner, all we had to do was pull up a chair. We walked over and there were two open seats but no extra chair anywhere (we had a party of 3). We went back to her for a third time just begging to be put on a wait list for an actual table and we finally got on there. We were handed half priced drink vouchers to ease the pain of the 2 hour wait. We went to get our drinks and they grabbed a milk jug full of a premixed drink and poured us one. The drink had no alcohol in it seemingly and it still costed $7. 2 hours later we finally got sat at a booth. Our waiter Brandon was very kind and took great care of us (no hate on him). I got some shrimp gumbo as an appetizer and It was the best thing I had there. I got oysters as my entree and they were good. My fiancée got the Caribbean chicken and it was dry and tough like it's been sitting for a while and not cooked fresh, and her asparagus was raw and rock hard. The food came out about 5 minutes after ordering so we knew the chicken wasn't cooked fresh. We let Brandon know we didn't like the chicken and he promptly replaced it with the lobster mac and cheese. The Mac was flavorless and the lobster tasted like fish. It also came with bread that was rock hard and extremely spicy. We're really sad we waited two hours and spent over $100 on something so disappointing. It just seems like they lower standards when it gets really busy, and maybe it would be better during a slow time.

Best baked oysters ever!

The space has a cool indoor/outdoor setup, and the night we went they had live music, which made the whole place feel really lively. We sat inside but could still enjoy the music while catching some basketball games. The menu leans Mediterranean and everything looked incredible. We started with the tzatziki, shrimp wonton rolls, and potstickers. All three were great, but the shrimp wonton rolls were my favorite. For my main, I ordered the grilled shrimp pita (loaded with shrimp) with fries--definitely hit the spot. Around the table we also had burgers, a Mediterranean bowl, and pork belly tacos, and everyone loved their meals. We were so full we didn't even make it to dessert. Overall, great vibe, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out--just plan on taking an Uber or Lyft since parking is limited.

Servers walking around like space cadets, group after group left because they couldn't get waited on. Ask for something because they forgot to bring it...? Good luck getting it or a server back to your table! We had to go source our own condiments amd napkins. Asked for well done burger, it was medium rare. Only good thing to say is the location.

Served nachos, never given any silverware. Went to front grabbed it myself. Fast forward, not to much on the drink refill or clearing an appetizer meal off the table because the tables are average size. Had to ask for those refills, and just water. Time to pay. No clue where the server was then, seen the server standing up front near the entrance. Then Watched other tables get drink refills, and actually pay and began to leave. Wife had to go to the counter to get the bill. Then I went to the counter to pay the bill. Christ our luck sucks. Let's get to the food. Philly steak, boneless wings, kid got a monster burger, and sliders. Guess what, the food is as absolutely great! Go try the food.. other tables were getting. We visited The Local Market because we kept hearing they had "the best Cuban in Destin." After…read moreeating there, I honestly do not understand the hype at all. First off, this is not a real Cuban sandwich. The bread was completely wrong. Real Cuban bread, especially if you've ever had one from Ybor City in Tampa, has a very specific texture and press. I even explained before ordering that I only wanted the outside pressed and toasted, while the inside stays cool. That's how an authentic Cuban is made. Instead, they brought out a sandwich that was heated completely through. The meat, cheese, everything inside was hot. It completely ruined the sandwich. When I politely asked about it, the employee seemed irritated and had an attitude about remaking it. They eventually brought another one out, but honestly it still was not good. The bread tasted wrong and the sandwich itself just wasn't enjoyable. It got worse from there. My grandson ordered chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were bad, and the fries tasted like old grease that should have been changed hours earlier. My wife ordered a shredded chicken and cheese sandwich that honestly smelled questionable, like the chicken may have been turning. The final straw was the fruit cup having visible mold growing in it. At that point we lost our appetite and decided to leave. Very disappointing experience overall. Poor food quality, bad execution, and not worth the money. We will not be returning.
