The price you pay for the care provided is ridiculously overpriced. They no longer have physical therapy services. The management is never anywhere to be found and doesn't address needs or concerns promptly. The facility is short staffed and the residents do not seem happy whenever we visit our family there. At night time they only lock the front door leaving the back and side doors wide open and unsupervised. They have cameras in certain areas of the facility but they do not work making them a useless excuse for safety measures. If you are wanting to be sure your family is in safe space I do not recommend this facility. read more

The staff and leadership were top-notch. Communication was outstanding from the family's perspective - any time I had a question or concern they were easy to reach. They either had the answer or were quick to follow-up. Any time they noticed something out of the ordinary or potentially needed my attention, they proactively reached out with clear and helpful information. When my father had a need, they would typically help him figure things out rather than ask me to take care of it. The doctors, nurses, and therapy staff were phenomenal - knowing their watchful and caring eyes were looking after my father gave me great comfort. The facilities and rooms are nice, although there were some significant maintenance issues (water, climate control) while we were there. I understand there may have been some staffing changes recently. The maintenance director recently reached out to me through the center director to explain what kind of remote to purchase for my father's television. It seemed like he was knowledgeable and that he took ownership of helping my father with his TV issue. The location of the Crossings is excellent with groceries and restaraunts nearby and a new hospital and medical facilities practically across the street. The one downside that I heard from my father and several other residents was that the food was not good. I ate there once with my father and agreed it was not particularly good. Staff are very accessible throughout the Crossings - I met briefly with the chef and believe he is invested in improving the experience. However, food continues to be the most significant weakness I have seen at the Crossings. Food is important, but the safety and well-being of your loved one is paramount. In my opinion, with the current leadership team and staff in place, you can be confident that your loved one is safe and well cared for. I've lived here for 3 years now. The food was better than the last place I lived, but has been going steadily downhill since then. They serve a lot of breaded meats that are dry and tough. There is very little salad and seldom do we get any fresh fruit. The vegetables have no flavor and are only half cooked. The desserts are not bad, but the main meals leave a lot to be desired. There could be a little more imagination in the food, like a 4 bean salad or some casseroles. When I pull my cord for help, I wait up to 45 minutes for someone to respond. I really like some of the staff who are hard workers, but right now I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for assisted living. read more

My grandmother was in the memory care portion of this facility right under a month and to say the experience has been less than satisfactory would be an understatement. Upon our initial tour of the facility we asked if the staff encourages the residents to participate in the activities that were scheduled for the day. Furthermore, we asked if one of the residents were stubborn and said no at first would they still work to get them to participate. We explained that my grandmother was notorious for not wanting to participate unless encouraged to do so a few times, we were assured that the staff would be made aware as so to get her engaged. We were sold on the idea that she'd be in an environment that'd help her mentally and physically. However, after moving her in we'd visit often at different times of the day and every time we'd find her either laying in bed or sitting on couch sleeping when other residents were doing activities. When we inquired why she was always laying in bed or not with other residents, the answer was always "she didn't want to get up/participate." We've spoken to staff after these situations and were informed staff would be made aware to be more persistent in getting her up/engaged; however, no change was made and it was the same thing over and over again. Some other concerns I'd like to mention: staff locks the doors when residents are out in common areas, well upon visiting one day, we found my grandmother LOCKED inside her room, staff wasn't even aware she was locked inside the room. She fell twice while there, the first time she fell we questioned how she fell and none of the staff could give an answer and would state the person on duty at the time was not there. Another mentionable concern, when she has fell she has busted her head open and after the bleeding and they didn't even bathe her when she came back from hospital they left all the blood on her. We had to ask them two days later if they would bathe her to get all the blood off her head and leg. She had a second fall a few days ago and we made the decision to just take her out of the facility completely. Some additional note worthy items: she's had items of hers come up missing and when we asked staff about the items they stated they would have to look around and never were able to give a straight answer. We had a small rail on her bed to assist her in sitting up/getting out of bed and one day we came to visit and it was missing. We inquired about it and was informed the state came in and removed it as it is considered a "restraint." We understood why it was removed, however when we asked where the rail was so we could take it home, none of the staff knew where it was. It was my grandmothers roommate that mentioned "I might know a place where it's at" and sure enough the room she showed us had the rail in it. Overall, my grandmother is in a worst state mentally and physically than a month ago when we put her in the facility; I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially for the price of $4,900 a month! read more
