I've been a patient for 2yrs and have BC/BS PPO insurance. For 2yrs no problem Dr. Reddy was in the network. This past week I received a Explanation of Benefits from BC/BS that Dr. Reddy dropped out of network with no notice. The bills from May would not be paid, over $6000.00 I left many message via the patient portal, voice mail to all of the options over a week ago NO ONE has called me back. I am now trying to get my medical records to find a new doctor and cancel all my appointments. Up until this serious problem I would not recommend this practice. Guess I am going to make a trip to the Riverview office and try not to get upset talking with staff for lack of response to my messages. read more

Called to get an appointment. After waiting 10 minutes on hold after listening to their message on all their options in English and in Spanish. Called back as no one answered. Called again, finally got through and the Receptionist sounded like she was severely ill or despondent. I asked a question and she put me on hold immediately. Very weird experience. I am so glad they do not take my Insurance. I would hate to have to go through that again! read more

We had a little hiccup at first but it was resolved. If you coming with government insurance? Get ready to jump on the insurance butt n your current doctor. I had to jump on both of mine because this place sent them paperwork to fill months ago n they were still slacking. After the mixed up it went smoothly. Staff is welcoming. I left out im trans by accident. So they didn't expect a madam rolling in lol no drama just a couple giggles n paperwork. The specialist was very informed n educated. She game so much info to process. I chose to do the blood work in their office to speed thong up. The blood technician was gorgeous and very kind. I was to distracted to care about the needles n blood gushing out. Didn't even feel the peck n pull. Phenomenal staff all over. Today was my last visit. The specialist gave me a long and very educated consultation and review of the lab tests results. I am so glad i don't have SLE! Yay!! I can go back to wearing bikinis n fishing! Obviously responsibly. I am so blessed n wish many wonderful blessings to this rheumatologist group! They are freaking amazing!! Huge HUGE heads up; be there on time. They do have big penalties for no call no shows. Be there 30mins early just in case. You will be rescheduled n charged monetary fee's so just show ip early. I showed up 7 minutes late to my first appointment, as I had some trouble finding the place. I entered the reception area to find 2 receptionists on the phone, and an empty waiting area - I was the only patient. I waited 4 minutes for an available receptionist, and after asking me my name she informed me "I'm sorry, you're past your appointment time and we can can't accommodate you." I was 7 minutes late. Ever go to a doctor before? Know any doctor that isn't AT LEAST 7 minutes late to every appointment? The search for a rheumatologist continues! read more

I was turned away about 2 yrs ago as Dr Reddy decided she no longer takes my part of my insurance which is Medicaid...medicare but not medicaid..they did give me the courtesy of still seeing me without charging me..still have no Rheumatologist..found out there are other ppl in the practice that do take my insurance but I am not allowed to switch..what? how is that right? YOU decided to drop medicaid so I should be able to see someone else in the group..wow!!! Whats wrong with this picture.. read more

I was suffering in pain for many years until back in 2019 I was finally diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and was referred to this office by a friend of mine who talked highly of the staff and doctors here. After several battles with insurance company and getting the proper medication they were able to put me on a routine which has done wonders for my condition! I am finally able to walk around more and do more things without all that pain I had before. I'm so pleased with this office staff as they really care and are very helpful with scheduling appointments and reminders. The doctors are truly a blessing to me. I would NEVER EVER GO BACK TO DR. REDDY. They do not explain the consequences of the treatment so that you can make an informed decision. I was given infusions that wiped out my B cells, the "memory" cells that make antibodies. True, my RA went into remission, but the price I paid was that I was open season for every infection under the sun, and my body "forgot" every vaccination or illness I ever had. Even the Covid vaccine did not work on me because, 2 YEARS AFTER MY LAST INFUSION I had still not regained any B cells. No B cells, no antibodies. So, even though I had the Pfizer shots, because of Dr. Reddy, I am still vulnerable to Covid. Find another doctor. Your life may depend on it. read more

Hannah is an amazing nurse! She takes her time and is very efficient. She is also very sweet and pleasant, it makes coming here enjoyable.

Very nervous about my recent diagnosis, but the doctors there are very compassionate and caring, and gave me all the time I needed and to explain everything to feel more comfortable. I cannot put into words how wonderful they are! I went to see them after visiting another doctor who had left me very nervous and uncomfortable about my future. Dr Prakash is an experienced doctor but don't be 5 minutes late or they will cancel your appointment without any concern. They have no empathy for emergencies whatsoever. Drove an hour to get there and they called us 5 minutes prior to our appointment and was told my wife's appointment would be canceled if we were not there in five minutes. We explained we had had been pulled over by the police on the way there and we would be there in 10 minutes, just 5 minutes late. They said that they would not see us and that we must reschedule. Every single time we have gone to Dr Prakash we have had to wait 20 to 30 minutes before being seen, but they would not see my wife for being just 5 minutes late. We will not be returning to Southwest Rheumatology. read more

I called them and explained my situation and I got and appointment within 48 hours. I came in feeling so incredibly sick. They ran every test under the sun, was very compassionate. I finally have a diagnosis that explains symptoms for years. Staff is very supportive and calls you when they say they will. Highly recommend Dr. Prakash and the whole team. read more
