I walked in, said my hello, didn't quite hear anything back. Looked at all from right to left of store, from the cases to the shelves and everything in between looking for an amethyst stone ready to insert, wire, chain or string. None. Not once did I hear a, "anything in particular looking for, can I help you find something, let us know if you need any help." Zip, Zero, NADA. One lady sat there cross-legged on a chair, pretending to read, wearing an East Indian or Hindu type (costume, quite frankly), doing her absolute darndest to look the part. What a JOKE! How's that working for you? The other heavy set lady was at her little work station, working away. I asked if she had the inside to a certain bell I wanted, thinking SURELY she and her many tools could switch one out. Nope! I get a, "I don't have any extra clankers." So I bought my second choice as I tried to make friendly conversation by asking the dog's name. Murphy. I said, "that was my pig's name." No response, so I told Murphy the dog my pig was watching over him from above. Un F'n believable! I got in my vehicle and told God, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?! A shop that represents all things, love, light, health and healing with two miserable employees that were FAR FROM IT?! If you are a highly evolved soul, STEER CLEAR. I can't exactly say, "if looks could kill I'd be dead," because not once was I acknowledged let alone spoken to. It's right next to a hiking trail, and the whole setting feels like it blends into nature instead of sitting on top of it. There's a small waterfall, benches to sit and take everything in, and lots of different rock displays to explore. They also have a wide range of rocks at different price points, so there's something for every budget if you're just browsing or looking for a meaningful piece. Theres usually one person on duty, but its not too busy so the service is quick and can be personalized. I actually bought a large heart-shaped rock here that I still have and really enjoy. A lot of the pieces I collected in my twenties came from this spot, so it holds a bit of nostalgia for me as well. I'm also really glad to see they made it through the Topanga fires. I'm hoping to make it back down there soon. Parking is plentiful, which makes visiting easy and stress-free. Just a heads up though, the ground is entirely made of rocks and uneven terrain, so be careful when walking around since it's not a solid or flat surface.
