Bottom Line: Good place to start the evening…read more This spot is good for opening the evening before heading to one of the many nearby dinner destinations. The indoor space is long and narrow, with an eclectic, warm vibe, lined with display bottle and can-filled shelving. There are several tables along the display wall that seat four comfortably, with a compact bar tucked toward the front. Don't come here looking for a quiet corner though. The place fills up quickly--especially Thursday through Saturday nights during sidewalk‑dining weather where the crowd spills out into the covered entry and sidewalk. The clientele skews upscale and once they settle in, tables tend to turn slowly. Also, the noise level often rises to the point where conversation requires a raised voice. Wine and appetizers are this place's wheelhouse. I agree with other reviewers that service can lag, especially when you're trying to get that first order in. The charcuterie is a reliable favorite, with the rest of the menu at least decent if not particularly memorable. The wine and beer offerings are broad enough to satisfy most tastes, though some reviewers' claims of "reasonable prices" depend heavily on your definition of reasonable--lingering over drinks and appetizers will leave a very noticeable dent in the ole' wallet. Though I don't feel It's the kind of place I'll likely make a weekly habit, it is a good starter spot for a date night or a meet‑up before moving on to a dinner place.

We got to choose seven items between meat and cheeses for $25 plus you get to pick three accessories like nuts, jam, mustard, fruit, olives etc. All of the options we chose were delicious! And served with both a garlic bread and rice crackers. They have an extensive wine list and a lot of food options as well. After our charcuterie we enjoyed the white pizza- GF FRIENDLY! All the crusts are cauliflower crust, and I am not GF so while I wouldn't have picked this normally, it was SOOO yummy. I wouldn't have even known it was cauliflower crust! The flavors were great too. We also had a super tasty grilled cheese with bacon and the star... jalapeno jam! Loved it all and can't wait to come back on a future date night!

Once we arrived, the hostess could not have been more sweet. She was all smiles and was very welcoming. Our server was just as pleasant. She remembered my friend from previous visits. The room is very comfortable. Dark with a lot of natural tones that create the perfect backdrop for a lovely meal. A couple requests were missed by the bar and kitchen, however our cocktails and meals were still delicious. We loved everything. Overall, we had a very nice dinner and I look forward to my next visit.

I had their cabernet sauvignon and it was delicious. The bread was excellent. The crust almost reminded me of a salted pretzel. The chicken meatballs were flavorful. Calamari was ok. For the 2 pastas that I got to try, the spicy rigatoni was good. Chicken vesuvio was tasty and moist. For the grand finale we had cheesecake and tiramisu. Service was excellent. Park in the orange garage as that is the closest to the restaurant. I left around 8 pm and the restaurant was busy. I definitely recommend reservations.

We started with some lobster bisque and a lump crab cake appetizer. The bisque was sublime. The crab cake was mostly crab and paired with a delicious mustard sauce. My only complaint was that I wanted more. Having recently experienced a subpar upscale chain restaurant steak dinner at another restaurant, I was gun shy to order a steak, but was rewarded with one of the most tender and tasty cuts of beef in the Chicago suburbs. The literal topper was the red wine reduction...so good! My companion ordered (and shared!) the grilled scallops. A generous serving of tender, succulent scallops on a bed of delicious risotto. The combo made a great surf and turf experience. Desserts at these types of restaurants can be so overwhelming that even the thought of sharing seems like too much. But here, we had perfectly sized portions and a wonderful selection of treats to cap a great meal. We each ordered a different treat and it was the perfect amount. We are looking forward to bringing friends and family to return visits. Soon.

We sat in the bar and had a great server named Shawn. Shawn was engaging and provided great service. I'll definitely request him next time I visit. I wasn't drinking that night, but hubby solo'd it with a bourbon cocktail called a Paper Plane. He said it was very tasty, especially on the hot day. We shared the ahi tuna tartare to start. The tartare was a stack of tuna with tropical salsa and avocado. So fresh. It came with a basket of crispy lavish bread, I hope when the restaurant switches their recipe that they will continue making a seedless lavish for those who can't do nuts or seeds. Hubby had the wood grilled tenderloin salad for dinner. I had to get a taste of that tenderloin because it was cooked perfectly. It was so tasty and seasoned well. I had the wood grilled Idaho rainbow trout, swapping out the asparagus for carrots. The trout came with a dill mustard sauce which I nixed and just squeezed fresh lemon on the fish. The fish was moist and smoky. Of course, we had to get the little dessert shooters to end the meal. Hubby had the Belgian chocolate s'mores, which was ridiculously decadent. I had the more conservative raspberry cannoli dessert. These tiny sweet treats are delicious mini indulgences. I love them because you want something a little sweet at the end of a meal but don't want a huge dessert. I think they're perfect. I like Seasons 52 because every item on the menu has the calories listed. Their food is always very good and the service is top-notch. When I ordered the tuna appetizer, a manager came over right away and asked me about a seed allergy because they noticed I said no nuts and seeds on my reservation. They really pay attention to their customers needs. I highly recommend Seasons 52. Ask for Shawn!

A couple workers were fighting up front and when they brought us our drinks, my Diet Coke was the grossest consistency I have ever had. Hoping for another chance, I went with a sprite that somehow tasted like it went bad. That should have been our first red flag, but then the food came. We ordered an appetizer dip that tasted like pure butter to the point that we could not eat it. The waitress came over and asked us what we wanted to do? Which was odd. Then the owner (?) came over to say it was the kitchen's fault. Our main meal came out and, again, pure butter. We are not sure if we went on just a horrible night or what, but we are very torn on trying this spot again.
