They even had a huge Christmas tree still on display, decorated in preparation for the Fourth of July, which definitely caught my attention. The filet medallions were cooked to a perfect medium and had a nice slight crisp on the outside, although they weren't quite as hot as I would have liked. It was served towith a delicious wine sauce that really elevated the dish. The crab stuffed shrimp were flavorful, and the garlic mashed potatoes were a great complement to the meal. Overall, I enjoyed my Sunday dinner at Phyre. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food delivered a satisfying steakhouse experience. I ordered the Big Frank Breakfast, and it absolutely lived up to the name. It came with two large sausage links, two strips of bacon, three eggs cooked however you like, breakfast potatoes, and a huge biscuit smothered in a generous amount of sausage gravy. Everything was filling, flavorful, and good quality. The biscuit and gravy were easily one of the highlights--comfort food at its finest. My boyfriend ordered Destiny's Hot Mess with sausage gravy and substituted the bread for toasted cornbread. That ended up being an excellent choice. The slightly sweet cornbread paired perfectly with the savory sausage and gravy. The diner itself is casual, cozy, and exactly what you would expect from a hometown breakfast spot. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Another major plus is how affordable everything is. The portions are huge, the food quality is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. You definitely get your money's worth here. Recently went to try this place out. I know they recently changed their name because it used to be called the koffee kup and another k word in the name I believe it was kafe... do you see where I'm going with that name, k- k- k. I really hope the place is under a new management because this is unacceptable. We had stopped by and the line was out and the place was full. I did have a past run in with a rude hostess. And we had decided to go to the sip and dip right down the street. But two stars for the potential change of heart and I really hope it's no longer about a culture that spreads hate but love.
