RIP OFF!!! DISASTER!! HORRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT GET FLOWERS DELIVERED FROM THIS PLACE! My husband just had flowers delivered to me for our 10th wedding anniversary. First off they were very late in delivering. He had specifically stated they needed to be delivered around 8:00am. Needless to say by 11:00am they still hadn't arrived. He spent $160 bucks for 11 hydrangea in a basket!! Looks like we are mourning a funeral instead of celebrating. He said he should have known better when all the lady on the phone kept asking was how much he wanted to spend. We have learn our lesson, never again! However there is a fantastic flower shop in Silverton (Benkins) who delivered a birthday arrangement to me a couple of months ago that were the most beautiful flowers. We try very hard to support local business and thought with this being located down the hill from our neighborhood that he would try it. Got flowers for a co-worker. Her sis had recently passed so we got an arrangement from this florist thru ProFlowers. We got them on a Tuesday and on Thursday some of the roses had died without even opening. Totally unacceptable. I tried calling the store, no answer so I called ProFlowers to let them know about the issue. This place is horrifyingly bad. I experienced the WORST customer service I ever have. My husband ordered flowers for his mom for Mother's Day from Curious Garden. We like to try and support local businesses rather than the chain flower shop route. That was a big mistake with this place. The order was placed online and we received a confirmation email with a number. Mother's day came and went and no flowers were delivered. I called Monday to discuss it with the store. I talked to a woman who could not find any record of the order. When I said I have a comfirmation number if that would make it easier to locate the response was "Oh, that number doesn't mean anything." Seriously??? Then she proceeded to question me on where I got the comfirnation number from and if it was even from them. The confirmation came from the curiosgarden.com email address. She finally just said she would look into it and call me back. Shockingly, no one called back. I called again at the end of the day Tuesday and happened to get the store owner on the phone. He had actually found the record of my order. So, I said well there were no flowers delivered and his response was "well, I don't know about that." Again, seriously? I questioned him about his online ordering system and whether they typically did online orders or where maybe the issue was coming from. Ready for his response (THE STORE OWNER no less): "Listen-I'm 65 yearls old and made it all the way through graduate school without every seeing a computer. I don't understand them someone just to sign-up to do it so I did." At this point, I had to actually tell him what horrible customer service I thought he was giving me and that if he didn't understand a part of his business maybe he shouldn't have that ordering option. All he had to say was "What do you want me to do about it?" Clearly, all I want is my money back since they had actually charged me for the order. To cut to the point--it took 5 days straight of calling the shop to get them to void the order so my money could be refunded. I still had to call their online counterpart to make sure my money would be refunded because when the owner called it said there was more than a 5min wait for your answer to be called. He said he just didn't have 5 minutes to wait. These were the rudest people I have ever dealt with. I honestly don't know how the owner even speaks to customers the way he does and is absolutely unapologetic. He didn't seem to grasp the concept that a mother did not get flowers from her children on Mother's day due to his poor service. read more

I ordered flowers for Mother's Day, mid-week the previous week, via their site. Flowers never arrived. Phone number is disconnected. Email listed is dead. They are no longer opened, but still have a running website. Now I have to file a claim on my credit card. Not pleased at all about this. THEY ARE NO LONGER OPERATIONAL. STAY AWAY. read more

A great place to visit. The owner is usually there and has always had interesting items, been friendly, and ready to deal. It is probably best considered as "old school" and it is a small local business. I recommend visiting in person. The shop is charming and bursting with character. Very unique and enjoyable in person shopping experience for flowers, herbs, seasonal plants and decor. Bring your kids, your dogs, etc., to explore the shop and outdoor curious gardens. read more

I agree with Megan B. HORRIBLE customer service. Via the internet, I ordered two arrangements to be put in the church for my mother's memorial service. The order was given to The Curious Garden to fill. I was traveling in from another state, so a friend kindly agreed to go to the church to await the delivery--instructions for which were given explicitly to the internet company, along with my cell number. My friend went to the church several times during the day and when the flowers had not arrived by 5 pm, I called to see what was going on. I then learned that Curious Garden was the fulfillment florist and called them. I spoke with the owner who informed me that he had been very busy that day and that he had called the church to say he would be bringing the flowers later that evening (he evidently works w/them quite a lot and had a key to the church). I said that the church was not the client, I was and that he had MY number to call if the delivery could not be made as arranged and that by not informing me of the delay, he had inconvenienced someone for the entire afternoon. He then said that "THE arrangement" was in his car. I asked him if he meant ONE arrangement and he said yes. I told him I had ordered two arrangements at $75, not one at $150. He had no idea where the order had originated and gave me exactly the same song and dance described another review about how they didn't have computers when he was in grad school, etc. I told him they didn't have them when I went to grad school, but I knew how to use them and that he was doing business via the internet, he'd better put his namby-pamby excuses to rest and get with it. He apologized and said he would do two arrangements and that he hoped that the flowers would be nice enough to make up for the problem. Well, I did get two nice-enough arrangements, but they were quite pedestrian (to my eye) and NOT AT ALL like the arrangement I had ordered, which had a more unique mix of flowers and placement. My experience mirrors the experience of Megan B. to a T and I would say that if you do not know this person and do not go into the store and make a face-to-face purchase, you may wind up with something quite different than what you had expected. Certainly if you use an internet service to place the order, be sure they do not use Curious Garden for the local fulfillment. read more

Left a VM for a flower order. Owner (Gary) called me back that night and took my order over the phone. Great personal service. Definitely recommend calling directly and experiencing the personal touch. My wife should have a beautiful custom bouquet of flowers for her birthday! read more

I am in agreement with Megan B-do not use this florist. Ask the online company to avoid them. I ordered a specific beautiful fireside basket and paid a total of 120.00 for it. I was extremely upset and embarassed when I went to the funeral of a very good friend's father to see that they had substituted a cheap white plastic container of cheap yellow flowers instead of the peach and white roses that were suppose to come in the basket. I went directly back to the online company and am very happy to report that they refunded my entire amount. However, this does not dismiss The Curious Gardens culpability. I wonder how often they switch the order to something cheap thinking that the person sending the flowers will not catch them. PJL read more

I will not use Curious Garden again. I ordered flowers for my Mom for Mother's Day, and I wanted to use a local florist because they are right next to my Mom's work, and also to make sure they arrived in time. I don't always trust online ordering, so I called them to place my order. After I told them what I wanted, I had to tell them what to write on the card. They not only did not write everything I asked, but they signed it ERIC, my name is ERICA. The card even said something like "blessed to be your daughter." I also paid with my cc, so they had my name. When I called, the lady who answered, said "Oh, I am sorry that happened." Did not offer to make it right, not a coupon, nothing. Just gave an excuse about how "it might not of shown up when they were writing it," whatever that means. I should of known, because when I called and put the order in, the lady I spoke with did not seem to care or give me much time and respect for my order and needs. Never again! read more

that is the dirtiest flower shop ive ever been in. it smelled of cig smoke . the flowers i ordered were wilted when received. the owner was rude and didnt want to refund my money. saying it was my fault . finally relented and gave me refund. i would never do business with him again. if he treats his customers like that i dont see how he stays in business.
