Love the food. Almost a must stop for me when returning from work. The owner is super-nice, listens to the feedback and make it to your advice. The ambiance is casual, minimal.

Exactly what we were looking for! Enjoyed the lamb dishes and naan. We had kids so they ordered pizza and burger from the melt menu and we ordered delicious Indian food. Will be back!

A friend and I were wowed by this restaurant recently. It's located inside the 04W Market, in the back with Melt. The staff is friendly, open to giving plenty of recommendations, the food comes out quickly and hot, and it's so delicious! Also, there's a nice seating area out in front of the market, with views of the train and historic buildings. Overall, it's a great vibe.

Fantastic store and restaurant. They serve American and Indian cuisine. The tandoori pizza was out of this world.

The smallest takeout portions for an Indian restaurant I've ever seen. Chicken was tough. Won't be going back.

TLDR: chicken tikka masala was delicious, chicken tender…read more I've gotten takeout from this place several times and always thought it was just good. But this past time I got takeout, the chicken tikka masala really blew me away. The flavor was very rich and well developed, without just a surface level flavor of tomato. Each bite of chicken was also very tender. To be fair I haven't had Indian food in a while and was really craving it but I was pleasantly surprised. Garlic naan could've been a bit more garlicky but was very good texturally, nice and chewy. The parking garage entrance is right next door (to the right of the restaurant) and you can get validated inside. If you're getting takeout, they text you a link you have to prepay through before they start preparing the food which is a bit annoying, but I get it.

This is the summary of my experience there: 1) Ambiance 3/5: The place from outside looks contemporary and chic. The bar looks inviting but as you enter the dining area, the place is dated. The decor looks shabby and I feel they should renovate for they have a reputation to maintain 2) Service 3/5: This was a hit and a miss for me. Though they are gracious enough to validate your parking, the service was at times good but at times slow and bad. One person was good at suggestions but the other person was really lazy. I went their for my birthday but they took about 10 minutes to get me a candle which was disappointing to say the least. 3) Food 4/5: This is where they excel. Although everything was pricey. The taste made up for it. We had: a) kaala khatta : This is basically shikanji but was refreshing b) mango chili mojito: My wife loved it. It tasted like you were eating raw mango with salt and chili powder. c) palak patta chaat - it was crispy and flavorful d) Chicken curry: Loved the taste. The accompanying rice was so less that it looked like a joke e) Chur chur naan and garlic naan: Pricey and ok f) Carrot halwa with ice cream: The combination was good but carrot halwa in general was ok. Tasted like the heated store bought frozen halwa 4) Value for money 3/5: Really pricey. The taste was look but for the amount, everything was pricey I would only return if I a really craving for Indian food with nothing in the vicinity and someone else is paying. The good: 1) Food and flavor Not so Good: 1) Decor 2) Prices 3) Service

Hooray! A genuinely refreshing addition to our West Midtown rotation is here - and it's de-licious!…read more We planned our visit to give time for any opening friction points to smooth out, because we wanted to love this place right from the start. An Indian fusion tasting menu? Yes please! I'm glad we did, because our overall experience was really good. Firstly, in addition to the tasting menu, they have a great range of dishes and some happy hour specials too. The only less-than-awesome moment was our arrival. We were first in line at the host stand, at the very beginning of dinner service, with a reservation. However, we had to wait as a group behind us was welcomed and seated. The host was the only person all evening who wasn't warm or welcoming - it was a chilly arrival experience, with parking validation friction and would have put me off from the start if the servers hadn't saved it from there on out. We were seated close to the pass, which was a fun spot to watch both the kitchen and front of house teams at work, as well as a comfy booth from which to observe the rest of the space (including snooping at other diners' plates - for inspiration, of course). The server seemed surprised that we (as first-timers) went straight to the tasting menu, but quickly got organized and the drinks were with us within a few minutes. She was very present, explained everything really well, and handled my weird ingredient questions and preferences super well. The food was ahmahzing. 13 dishes in just over an hour - phew. Favorites and standouts included: - Green Papaya Salad: fresh, tangy and crunchy - Crispy Broccoli: vegetables never tasted this good. - Potato Dosa: too filling for a tasting menu, but the second-best bite on the menu - Dal Makhni: black lentils, creamy-dreamy and the best dish of the night. - Turmeric Fish: no idea what fish it was, but it was shockingly good. - Sticky Date Cake: yes, this is the British-originated sticky toffee pudding of my dreams, and beats anything I've had in the UK. Huge compliments to our server (Brett - she was amazing), the kitchen and to the management, who were very present all evening, checking in with subtlety and never overdoing it. I'm going to have to wait a few weeks to stop feeling so full, then I'll be back for a tour of the rest of the menu. I can't wait to bring out of town visitors; Ghee has brought West Midtown the type of southern-hospitality-meets-global-cuisine moments I have been hoping for. Welcome to Atlanta, team Ghee!

Our server prefaced taking our order with the fact that the food is more fusion style and non-spicy. And I think what he meant was more that it might have spice in terms of heat, but non-spiced in terms of having the typical boldness of Indian flavors. 3 stars for food overall Everything is served family style. We opted against the 13 item $65/pp tasting menu because it didn't have a lot of the stuff we wanted to try specifically. The green papaya salad, which I'd consider more a fusion item, was excellent 5/5. The charred corn 3/5 was kind of like an elote with south Asian spices and the potato samosa 4/5 was standard but unremarkable. The chicken tikka masala 2/5 lacked the previously mentioned rich Indian flavors although it had a bit of a kick. Garlic naan and rice were fine. Friends loved the smoked lamb neck, which had an osso buco style preparation. They were less impressed by the duck biryani - which is served in an enormous casserole dish of the rice and two duck legs sitting on top. Cocktails were fine but unremarkable. 2 stars for service - this was bizarre. Our server could never keep track of what we were trying to order - when a friend tried to order a glass of Malbec (red wine), he asked if it was a specific type of cocktail. They were very eager to clear plates that clearly had food remaining, but when we were finished and asking for takeaway containers, the guy basically walked away (after saying, anything you need, I'm here for you) and we had to ask a busser - who struggled to find them. While we were finally packing leftovers, the original server took plates that still had food in them. Service makes all the difference in many dining experiences. Ambiance and location were both just fine 4/5 - right on Howell Mill next to the Sweetgreen. They validate parking in the garage, for which the entrance is kind of on the back of the block and may be a bit confusing at first - just drive around the building!

The rest of my group had ordered from another restaurant, so I picked my order up from the counter space. The menu is a good length, sandwiches, salads, sides, sodas, and a couple alcoholic drink options. I had the smashed potatoes, the fish sandwich, and their raspberry/lime soda. Everything was fantastic, very flavorful, ingredients balanced. My niece had not wanted to order as she was unsure about whether she'd like the flavors, and she does not do spicy. You order at the counter, receive a number, and seat yourself. The decor was bright, and combined with the upbeat music, the atmosphere was lively. FOOD: Maharja Lamb Burger (5/5) - Two lamb sliders. So wonderfully seasoned and juicy. No gamey taste that is usually associated with lamb at all. Crispy Masala Fish Roll (5/5) - Fish perfectly cooked, wrapped in a soft, hot naan. Excellent flavors. How could I complain? No notes. SERVICE: Food came out pretty fast after we ordered, even though it was pretty busy in there. The person who brought out our food was also super friendly and struck up a conversation with us. TLDR// Easily one of the best meals I had in Atlanta. Sad that I can no longer eat here when I leave. It lacked the rich texture and flavor you would normally expect. The garlic naan, which cost $7.99, arrived cold, had very little garlic on it, and had an unpleasant smell. The most disappointing part was the butter chicken. We ordered two separate butter chicken meals, and each one contained only two pieces of chicken. Not two small portions, literally two pieces of chicken in each order. Because both orders were the same, it did not seem like an accident or an isolated mistake. I even recorded a video because I could not believe what I was seeing. For the price paid, the portions and quality were unacceptable. This was one of the most disappointing takeout experiences I've had in a long time. Oh and to top it off the food definitely gave me the bubble guts last night and this morning.
