In other words, I always find some way to spend my money in here. One my most recent visit, I finally invested in a butter bell and was really excited about all the colors they had. I'm pleased to report, that (days later) my butter is soft and fresh and safely kept in its blue crockery bell. I also picked up a few odds and ends for the charcuterie boards I seem to find myself making often - a few decorative toothpicks, some tiny tongs, and even a miniature scoop somehow found their way home with me. At the counter, I even grabbed a La Conner magnet for my collection. The shop is sort of expensive, but not beyond what you might expect in this touristy little town. I've made a goal of doing more local shopping this year, and although I could probably have found my butter bell a bit cheaper online, I was proud to support this small business (while also supporting my butter habit).

Two other places looked at it, one charged over $90 and then said they couldn't fix it. Another place looked at it and said they would have to send it to a Dyson repair center and it would cost around $100 even if they could not fix it. Today I took it in to Valley Vacuum. Not only did he fix it on the spot, but he only charged $23 and then loaded it in the car for me. You can't ask for better.

Is this a surprise to them? Maybe it was the heat gun they used on the old lettering removal, as my wife pointed out them at the time.

Neutral and subdued colors, varied natural textures, layered and homey, soulful. Furnished with timeless and quality elements that could work in future homes too." Gwen has executed on the vision perfectly all the while taking my feedback and taste into consideration. Gwen selected furniture, carpets, lighting, art, plants, and décor for my office, living room, bonus room, master bedroom, kitchen, outdoor patio, and hallways. She helped me accessorize my kitchen with all new cookware, knives, silverware, gadgets, etc. Saying that Gwen selected all of these items does not do justice to her work. The pieces selected were of the highest quality. Quality observable to the eye and to the touch. Most the pieces selected are themselves a work of art that give me joy just to look at daily. Some of the pieces were custom made to be the perfect fit for the space. Gwen found the craftspeople and helped design these custom pieces. Gwen was a consummate professional throughout the entire process. She did all the coordination of ordering and deliveries. Gwen found electricians to install the lighting and spent all day here making sure that a custom light fixture was installed. Her punctuality is something that I must comment on because when she told me that she would be at my house at a certain time I could set my watch to her arrival. I sincerely appreciated this punctuality because I believe it speaks volumes to how she cares about her clients and her craft. All of this work and sourcing was during COVID shutdowns when lead times on furniture exploded which made the project more difficult. All of the accounting and billing was online and easily accessible. In summary, Gwen designed the spaces in my home in a way that bring a smile to my face ever day.
