I understand that the last hour was the cleanup. I don't understand why we could not listen to music for 30 minutes why we cleaned up. When I approached her, her response was, "Per the contract everyone must leave other than those that are part of the cleanup, and the music must be shut off." I made an announcement to 130 guests about the above-mentioned statement from the person onsite, that they must leave... Please understand that was a 130-guests last experience with Diamondz. We don't have to leave but you have to get out of here!!! 130 people will not return to your event space!

From the outstanding amount of parking to the playground and activities for kids, to the various pavilions to be used for food and drink, the inside facilities were very nice and spacious, clean restrooms and the friendly and incredible staff made this quite a nice event. Also the fact that it was handicapped accessible with the limited steps plus the ramp into the building made it easy for my guests to attend without having to worry about how they would get up and around. If you're looking for an event location with beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay, right on the water with an outside area and inside areas, look at this place first. Once I found her, simple questions like 'where do I put the cupcakes' and 'what time does the event start' were met with cold, short replies from Angie. She asked why the cupcake boxes weren't labeled and I told her my client did not request it, I was only told to make the cupcakes and deliver them. The flavors were pretty obvious but I wrote them down anyway. She then implied that I wasn't prepared, again in a condescending tone. Certainly not how I wanted to be treated after spending 6 hours making cupcakes! I was actually considering having an event here, but if I have to deal with Angie I definitely won't be booking them.

Then another staff member finally brought us water, but no other offering to order. We had to hail down a manager in order to get our drinks ordered. We have yet to see our actual server still. Our appetizers arrived before our drinks even though several staff were just standing around doing nothing near the bar. Some staff were drinking soda meantime. Still the manager had to then take our entree order. But the manager could not write down the order, which I grew less confident she'd remember our entire modified order in detail. Which could prove why there was a mistake when one of the entrees came out incorrectly. Then when we needed one of the entrees boxed to go, they brought a to go box that clearly had the Clyde's Restauraunt Group logo on the box. I was extremely surprised to see that this Tavern is supposedly ran by Clyde's. Because of the extremely poor service and obvious lack of properly training staff I was astonished that Clyde's would be the overseers! Every other CRG restaurant anywhere in the DMV always had professional attentive service. Not here! When CRG signed a long term lease with Under Armour owner regarding this location, there must have been an extreme lack of focus on training staff properly! The servers there must have not gone through the weeks and weeks of rigorous training like other Clyde's owned locations do. I never ever take the time to write a review unless it's extremely poor service!
