Abby was absolutely incredible. She gave my son (age 6) the best haircut he's ever gotten!!! She included him in decisions and informed him on what she was doing and why so he was very comfortable. He asked her to make him look cool and she definitely achieved that. He walked out of there on cloud nine exuding confidence! I couldn't recommend her more!!! I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. I went to this salon hoping for a deep cherry cola red color and shared several clear inspiration photos. The owner and stylist assured me it could be achieved without bleach. After the first appointment, there was almost no visible difference, so I was invited back for a correction. During the second appointment (which lasted nearly five hours and went two hours past closing) I was told bleach was now necessary. I was asked to pay before the process was done since they were closing the salon, and trusted their professional judgment. The end result was a bright, vivid orange-red color, completely different from what I asked for. There's also a section by my forehead that was missed entirely and remains my natural dark brown. When I reached out again, I was told the salon doesn't provide refunds and was offered yet another "correction." At that point, I'd already invested over $300 and countless hours, and had lost all confidence in the salon to correct the issue. What truly disappointed me was the owner's response. Rather than acknowledging the issue, she implied it was my fault for showing a collage of inspiration photos instead of "just one photo," and said "cherry cola" isn't a real color formula and a "trendy color" implying they couldn't have known what I meant (again, despite me showing clear photos of the color I wanted). I found those comments dismissive and unprofessional. To add to that, she tried reframing the narrative in her follow up email and stated that the 2nd appointment was a "change of course," rather than a "correction." I don't know how that makes sense when again, the 2nd appointment was to correct the lack of desired results after the 1st appointment- I left after my first appointment without the results I wanted, so of course I am returning for a correction- hence why they initially offered it to be free (which turned out to not be the case, I still paid). I've been a loyal client for haircuts and always had good experiences before, but this has completely eroded my trust. I now have to pay someone else to fix my hair right before my honeymoon. I wish this had been handled with more care and accountability. read more

I recommended my friend here and she is not happy. I thought you were more professional than you showed my friend today. You wasted her time so now I have to write this review. There is a certain level of professionalism businesses should uphold and you did not today. I won't be back. There are better salons elsewhere that will treat customers professionally especially when they make the mistake. Goodbye. My wife went here for the first time last week and was blown away by the work done by Cameron. She struggled at first to try a different place, but she couldn't get in at her usual place for two months. She went in with one idea but once she sat down she gave Cameron free rein to do whatever he felt would work best. She just asked that it was bright and summery. He ended up giving her a trim and used four different colors in her hair. I don't know what the exact colors are, but I fricken love it. It looks fantastic and she said the experience was great. She will definitely be going back to Cameron in the future and she has also scheduled appointments for our two daughters. If I wasn't bald, I would go here as well. read more

I recently moved back to Racine. I had a wonderful stylist in Charlotte and was keeping my fingers crossed in finding her replacement. Well I found her and boy am I relieved. No more shopping around I have found my new stylist and salon in the Cutting Edge. The salon is spotless, a great selection of products, the staff is super sweet and Patrick is very efficient. So I had quite a bad experience here yesterday. I went for a blow out. Had a party to go to for dinner. I squeezed some time out after office thinking I'll get a quick blow out, look great and will be set for my party. This was 3 mins from my office so I thought I'll try it. I get blow outs often but didn't have the time to go to my usual place. The place is clean, nice and girl who did my hair seemed sweet. I showed her a picture of my usual blow outs that take about 10-15 mins. Nothing special. Just a simple blow out. She took about 45 mins and I was just being patient thinking I'll let her do what she is doing. It wasn't looking great but I thought I should let her finish and I was hoping by the end of it, se will make it look good. After 45 mins she told me I was ready. My hair was pretty much the same as when I came in. I really couldn't see what she had done for the last 45 mins. I showed her areas that looked unworked and she tried to fix them but was unable to. She was really lovely. But the job she did was terrible. I had to leave as I had little time on hand. I did my hair myself when I reached home and was super late for the dinner so lose lose situation. I would not recommend this place. read more
