My experience with Closet World has been very positive, and I would suggest them. My advice to anyone considering a custom closet is to stay open-minded, and if revisions are needed, that's okay. We had to adjust my plan a few times, but now it's perfect. Thank you, Sharon and Chris! My advice for anyone looking to convert their closets: First, hire a skilled handyman to open up the closet if it's a closed concept like mine. Second, paint it. I chose white paint. Third, now it's prepped and ready to setup appt with designer. Fourth, be patient and understand that you might be without a closet for a little while because of their booking schedule. For families with kids, I recommend doing one closet at a time. Don't overwhelm yourself, as it's a process.

There was a minor hiccup during the install, but it was addressed and corrected right away without issue. They completed three closets, including removal of an existing unit, which made the process feel seamless overall. The finished closets look great and definitely improved the space. My only concern is with the materials and overall sturdiness. Since it's not solid wood, some of the shelving has a bit of give and doesn't feel as supportive as I expected. Overall, I'm happy with the look and the installation experience, but I do think the quality of materials could be improved for better durability.

Tiffany from Classy Closets is amazing and a joy to work with. I appreciate her design style, professionalism and attention to detail. We are thrilled with the full build out of 4 closets, a new linen closet and garage set up. Everything works great and looks great! Tiffany truly went the extra mile by personally delivering 6 (heavy) rolling racks for our clothing. Classy Closets also fast tracked our installation so we could finally unpack and begin living box free! Jill

The cabinet came out gorgeous and just what we needed. We were interested in extra storage space along with counter space for a coffee maker and other small counter appliances. The workmanship is really excellent and the cabinet is beautiful. And the price was very reasonable. It really made a big difference to be able to design a piece for our specific storage and space needs. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed working with Jaye. She is very knowledgeable, super helpful, patient, and easy to communicate with. Also the two people that came to assemble the cabinet at our home were very professional and expert at their job.

The installation itself was completed on schedule, but I was left to clean everything up afterward. The crew did not clean, and after I pointed out a few issues, they did come back and address them. That said, there were quality concerns, such as using gray nails on a black garage component and not installing an edger. I also added an item that their installer did not complete. When I later requested a quote for two additional closets, I was upfront and transparent that I planned to get three quotes. I was then told I would have to pay $100 for a quote because I had used a competitor for other projects in my home. I found this unreasonable and unprofessional.

They finally showed up around 3:30 PM and did not finish the work until after 8:00 PM. The quality of the work was even worse. The workmanship was very sloppy. They scratched the paint on the wall, damaged the closet area, and never repaired it properly. I called the office the following day to report both the poor scheduling and the unacceptable quality of work. No one followed up with us. The only response we received was a text message stating that if we wanted the problems fixed, they would need to send someone else--and that it would cost us extra. This is completely unacceptable. I will never recommend this business to anyone. Overall, a very disappointing and frustrating experience.

Charged Nearly $2,000 Over Quote -- Breach of Contract, Legal Action Pending…read more We were quoted $4,459 for our project, which we accepted despite our budget being lower. We even cleared the entire space beforehand to help expedite their process and reduce costs. However, we were shocked to be charged over $6,400--nearly $2,000 more than agreed. We understand it's not always going to 100% reflect the quote, but there was no prior notice or written approval of extra charges. When we questioned the overage, they claimed they gave us "their most generous discount to date," which was misleading and unacceptable. We disputed the charge with American Express, but were told the final bill they gave us after the work counted as "written notice," despite no prior communication about the increase. This is unfair and contradicts their own contract terms. After consulting with an attorney, we were advised the company is in breach of contract. If they do not refund the overage and honor the original quote, we are fully prepared to take legal action. This review is a final effort to resolve the matter before going to court. Future clients, proceed with caution--get everything in writing.

Originally, I was very disappointed. I paid $2,600 (after a 40% discount) for a closet system that felt overly basic--mostly particle board with simple rods. The shelves weren't level, it looked cheap and poorly assembled, and the installers left my walls pitted and damaged after removing the old shelving, without giving me a chance to repair them first. For something meant to be a permanent fixture in my home, it just didn't feel worth the price, and I regretted not doing it myself. But then Mike, the manager, personally called to understand why I was so unhappy. He sincerely apologized and quickly came up with a solution. He sent the installation team back out with additional backing pieces, and the difference is night and day--the closet now looks sturdy, polished, and truly worth every dollar. This level of responsiveness and commitment to making things right is rare. They're a local company that's professional, prompt, and genuinely cares about their customers. Huge thanks to Mike, Alonso, Jaime, and Diane for going above and beyond. Sorry I was a tough customer at first--you've earned a loyal one now! Highly recommend giving them a chance.

I'm so bummed. So so bummed. If I could do this all over... I'd never contact this garbage company…read more Savana may have been great but wow her former colleagues failed her in representation. 1. If there's an issue on installation.. THEY WILL cover it with putty and WILL attempt to hide it. 2. They will NOT care about the cleanliness of their own work. 3. They will NOT troubleshoot first before destroying things. 4. They WILL destroy your carpet tacking. As a woman, I'm so mad and so disappointed. I emailed Jonathan to have my bottom shelf fixed under warranty and he sent the most disrespectful employee he had. This man destroyed my white carpet and laughed when i immediately started cleaning.. he said he wasn't a big deal. Nah man. It really is. After I asked him to lay a blanket down, he started drilling holes in my toe kick. He then turned around and told me "i can't remove it. You messed up putting the carpet up against it." I asked him to stop right there... and he used a pry bar and attempted to pry my brand new carpet up off the tack strip... i yelled at him to stop and asked him to leave (1st attempt).. he did not leave. He got on his phone and continued to pry at the tack strip. I told him to stop and asked him to leave. He ignored me again and put his hand up to wave me off. Told me he's going to take care of it and started yanking at the toe kick that now had a screw in it. Being a single female in my house... I immediately felt unsafe. I've asked this man twice now to leave my house and he's refusing. Now ignoring me and damaging my property. I panic, grab his tools and place them outside on my porch and tell him to get the **** out of my house and he hesitates. Really? I yell at him one more time to get out of my house and he finally looks at me, rolls his eyes, and slowly walks out to his van... that's completely blocking my driveway. Upon returning back to my closet, I see the carpet tacking has been destroyed and the carpet is now pulled back 1/4"+ from its original place.. I have a hole in my toe kick... silicone putty smeared everywhere... and a broken shelf. I paid $6k for this stupid closet and it's turned out to be a huge regret. To start destroying things before troubleshooting or stopping to ask questions..... to have the audacity to blame the customer when your company coordinated this entire project. Wild. I started to pursue a solution via litigation. Stay away from this company.

DISHONEST COMPANY. TAKES ADVANTAGE OF ELDERLY WITH DEMENTIA…read more My father, who had dementia, contracted with this company to move to his household items to a nursing home. The company pushed for an in person estate sale DURING THE HEIGHT OF COVID in 2020. Almost no one came to the estate sale, so it only earned $400. However, they billed $3000 just expenses toward the estate sale, resulting in a loss of $2600. After my father passed they hounded me for payment (including additional charges to move his materials to his new home, which is reasonable). Of course, my father had dementia and had no ability to sign a contract, but not wanting this to have this drag on I paid to leave this behind so I could grieve. This business claims to provide compassionate service for the elderly, but our experience showed otherwise. They exploited my father's situation, pushing unnecessary services onto him and charging exorbitant fees, all while providing negligible results. They failed to respect my family's needs and showed no accountability for their actions. If you are looking for a service that genuinely cares about its clients, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. SHAME ON JAMI SHAPIRO THE FOUNDER. NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND DISHONEST AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR LOVED ONES. Update: I'm sharing a disparaging remark that Jami made about me when I reviewed her service with the better business bureau. She knows nothing of the situation in our family, the sacrifices we made in our family, the hardships that I endured to care for my father. Hire her team if you want someone who makes nasty comments like this after your loved one passes away. None of this changes the fact that: 1) My father had major neuro-cognitive disorder when he signed a contract with this company, 2) The "estate sale" they encouraged was against his financial interest. 3) When my father passed they threatened to take the estate to small claims court when I questioned the legitimacy of the estate sale that only racked up expenses. I paid for her services in full so that we could grieve but we never forgot how they took advantage of us in our grief. This is textbook elder abuse, which is why I am reviewing and rating her company to warn others of this practice. Update: Jami continues to lie in her review. "Arranged for the sale of the car" this is something I did alone as I held power of attorney. I agree that she provided necessary moving services, which we were happy to pay for, that is not in dispute. We thank her company for this. The dispute is over holding an estate sale that earned very little in revenue insufficient to offset the costs of estate sale, and then threatening (very quickly, when I asked any clarifying information about the bill) to take us to small claims court so shortly after my father's move and his passing. That is not compassionate care. This could have all been prevented had her team donated my father's possessions rather than held an estate sale. Furthermore, her condescending remarks towards me reveals plenty about how she thinks of her customers.

I knew I was on a deadline to get to organizing our home before our world turned upside down again with a newborn. Megan was so sweet, professional, and understanding of our needs and concerns and got to work right away with her team. She was not pushy, aggressive, or overly chatty as some others we interviewed were about the service. She patiently described how things worked, asked about how I'd like to approach dealing with the mess, and thoughtfully came up with a plan, a shopping list of materials (like boxes and storage units), and always, ALWAYS stayed lovely and professional. It was such a smooth process, and her team really made it easy for me to either keep, purge, or donate the clutter we had been collecting in our home for years.
