Turkey, Cranberry, and Brie Panini with Potato Salad

After hiking Stairway to Heaven with a friend and her dog, we stopped at The Daily Bean for lunch and a cold drink. I had a turkey, cranberry, and brie panini with a side of potato salad and a London Fog chai tea. Everything was tasty and satisfying. The Daily Bean has a very cute, rustic, and charming vibe! You order at the counter and the staff brings your food if you sit outside on the patio. There's some indoor seating as well, and a cute little gift shop on the property. They also have a variety of snacks and pastries, plus some cool seasonal drinks. (Dogs are welcome inside as well) Parking can be tricky when it's busy, but I will definitely go back after a hike in the area.

Not a great photo of to go cappuccino, flat white, and 2/5 of blueberry coffee cake. Yum!

We were in town for a wedding, and this seemed like the best option for coffee! We went twice. First, it's a lovely little space. Cozy and the employees are friendly and helpful. They have a more extensive menu than you'd think for food, coffee drinks, pastries, and other snacks/odds & ends, to purchase. Also, their mascot is a French Bulldog (but if you were a big Boston Terrier fan, you could probably buy something and no one would know.) The first afternoon, I ordered a cappuccino, a flat white, and a blueberry coffee cake. I don't think the cappucino was made correctly, as the cup felt like it was completely empty, but my wife tells me it tasted good. The flat white was delicious. The coffee cake was also delicious, although I could not have told you that there were blueberries inside. (These minor criticisms took nothing away from confidently giving 5 stars, mind you - just sharing!) The second morning, we went with 2 flat whites (yum) and a lemon loaf piece for the kids. It smelled and looked good - the kids said it was great! (Coffee still good) If we are ever in that part of NJ again, we will 100% go! Maybe buy a shirt that says "hooked on the pot."

We stopped at this cafe on our way up to Warwick and absolutely loved it! I got the turkey, bacon, and avacado panini on sourdough bread with a piece of crumb cake on the side. The panini was delicious, but that crumb cake, OMG! the cake was still so moist with a the perfect amount of crumbs on top! The staff was very sweet and working hard to make sure orders got out. I loved the outdoor dining, right next to the river. It feels like you're eating in your grandmothers back yard, in the best way possible! We will definitely be back!

Very cute. Locals seem to love the place. There's so many little nooks to sit and drink your coffee. The actual lattes were great and they listen when you say not too sweet.

Absolutely loved this place. The staff was very friendly and the spot was extremely cozy. There is plenty of seating outside and a couple spots inside as well.

Sweet little coffee shop near the slopes at Mountain Creek. Teas, coffees, pastries and paninis as well as to go snacks like trail mix and energy bars.

The sum of the parts is greater than the whole. The Daily bean makes an excellent cup of coffee. Espresso, late, cappuccino. All on point. The cakes and pastries are very good as well. The food is just fine. Mostly sandwiches and panini's. Which is pretty good considering the limited dimensions of the prep area. But none of that really matters. It's the chill vibe that keeps me coming back for more. It is a little cottage converted into a cool coffee shop with a cozy stream side back yard with plenty of little seating areas surrounded by wild flowers for one to relax and enjoy a cup. Peaceful. I feel like I've been transported to Vermont when I'm there. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Plus, they have a pretty efficient system for getting your order to you. I love this place and always look forward to going back.

I stopped by The Daily Bean when I was in Vernon to hike. I highly recommend stopping by! The people here are super nice and the space itself is super cute and welcoming. There are lots of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as board games and books. I got the avocado turkey hummus club, which was really filling and tasted very fresh. I also got a vanilla iced latte which was also good.

Gluten free bacon, turkey, avocado, and cheddar sandwich.

Wonderful cozy find! Best breakfast-for-dinner ever…read more We stumbled upon this absolute gem on a freezing, rainy evening after an outdoor event, just looking for a warm bite to eat around dinner time. My partner found this spot while searching nearby, and oh how happy I am that he did! I had been craving blueberry pancakes for days and was so excited to have a rare breakfast-for-dinner treat. From the moment we walked in, the warmth of the place completely melted the cold away. We were greeted by a wonderful, incredibly kind waitress, and the atmosphere inside was just so cozy and comforting. There was a lovely mix of people having their supper, including a sweet family of seven eating dinner together at the table next to us. It just had that perfect, welcoming community feel. The menu was seriously impressive. My other half ordered the southern chicken sausage gravy dinner, and it was phenomenal! I got my blueberry pancakes- my absolute favorite - and they completely exceeded expectations. I also tried the lentil soup, which was packed with flavor. Honestly, I don't think you could have a bad meal here if you tried. Our waitress (the same lovely woman who greeted us) chatted with us for a bit and was just so delightful and attentive. I even spotted a rice pudding with strawberries and whipped cream on the dessert menu that looked right up my alley, but between my pancakes and stealing a few delicious bites of the chicken dinner, I was far too full this time around! As we left, I noticed the pretty flowers and the outdoor picnic tables. I'm sure this place absolutely hops on weekend mornings, but it was the perfect rainy evening escape for us. Thank you so much for your incredible hospitality-we are officially adding this to our regular rotation when we are in the area.

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

The highlight was definitely the Stuffed French Toast. It looked beautiful, and I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was surprisingly well balanced. The toast was soft with a slightly crispy exterior, and the cream cheese filling paired really well with the strawberry compote. We also ordered the BLT+. The smoked bacon was delicious, but the focaccia was a little too thin and hard, making it harder to eat than I expected. The house-made sausage was good, just not particularly memorable. As for the coffee, it was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The latte wasn't very smooth, and the cold brew had a slight off taste. They were both drinkable, just not something I'd order again. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere, especially if you're interested in the French toast. There's also parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy.
