I feel like this should be on an episode of bar rescue. The place just feels dingy, dated and not clean. The food is very subpar, but what really pissed me off was that they allow tables to smoke on their patio which is right next to the restaurant with no barrier (a glass garage door that's open) so if you're sitting inside, you can smell everybody's cigarettes. I thought this was not allowed in Colorado. What the hell?? I do not want to smell your customer cigarette smoke while I'm trying to eat my over priced 7-11 tasting nachos. Decided to give it a try, late night after an event. LOVED the atmosphere - everyone was so friendly. Lots of post Broncos fans - and apparently a lot of pre-game Vikings fans earlier too! Had great quesadilla - FULL of chicken - and a great bacon cheeseburger that was very flavorful and perfectly done. The French fries were super crispy and hot. Me and my girlfriend had just spent the last 3 hours braving a late winter driving to Denver, instead of making it at 8pm we got here at 9:30. We missed our show and made it to the hotel exhausted and hungry. We Yelp-ed "late night food," and closest place was The Dam Grille. As soon as we walked in we saw a couple of people sitting around a big U-shaped bar with several screens above it. We sat down and we were greeted nicely by a bartender named Taylor, she was very quick with our order and very attentive. She also took care of others at the bar but was able to give us great service despite the late night crowd. I was In to watch game three of the AVS Stanley cup playoffs I had a patty melt there quite a while ago and remember it being pretty good. I ordered a patty melt and it was the worst I ever had tasted like it had chili on it the onions and meat were covered in chili powder, the bartender/waitress offered to have them remake it, they were busy and I didn't want to wait. Surprisingly great food (everything is under $10 (try the bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers), cheap drinks, and excellent service made for a great night! I used to live within the, "let's go to that hole in the wall we liked and grab drinks" distance from The Dam Grille. I must say my first 2 visits I didn't have high expectations, but the bartenders were always friendly and attentive! They have plenty of local brews on tap, several tvs to cheer on your favorite teams, a couple pool tables to help entertain your group for the evening, and cost wise it really doesn't hurt your wallet. Beer not your thing? That's fine too, though your home brewing friends may disown you! Just ask the bartenders, they have some great recommendations and always led me in the right direction. Wednesday night, ladies night! This is my fav mid week night out with the girls. $2 drinks and for $2 they don't stiff you on the alcohol. They have pool tables, tv's to watch sports, and a really nice patio. I would recommend the chicken wings for sure. It is a typical bar so don't go there expecting some fancy place to eat. We had Coors light, so I can't speak for the beer, but they have quite a few good taps so might return with the guys. I asked for them extra crispy, being the wing snob I am (Sorry not sorry) and mild in flavor. Didn't want to order different in spice just because it's been so long since I've eaten their food I couldn't remember how spicy or hot their stuff was. Wings were not crispy at all. Bummer, super bummer. Deep fry those babies a little longer! The mild was pretty dang hot. I'd say in Buffalo NY, they'd be more medium. Which I order quite frequently at other restaurants, but I just wasn't expecting mild to be as hot as it was I guess. The fries, nasty. Super soggy and tasted undercooked. Maybe it's just because I ordered to go.. because when eating at the place, I had a totally different experience. I remember having wings previously and upon asking for extra crispy, that's what I got and was happy and it didn't seem so spicy last time either. We live nearby and finally tried this spot. It was surprisingly busy on a Friday at 1PM. We had no alcohol, but did take a look at the beer menu and found it interesting. We did try the naked wings with lemon pepper sauce. Wings were cooked nicely and crispy, but there was way too much salt on the wings, making them virtual salt sticks. My boyfriend and I moved to the Denver area from Minnesota over the summer. We are Vikings fans and we were looking for somewhere to watch the games. We heard this place was a Vikings bar and it was a blast! Lots of fans, they did a drawing for a Vikings jersey, and even have a drum to get the Skol chant going. Needless to say, the atmosphere was amazing but drinks and food were mediocre. I got the bottomless mimosas for $10 and I don't recommend it. The bartender was amazing at keeping my glass full but they were mostly juice. We got the patty melt and Reuben. Both sandwiches were okay and they are cheap enough. The fries and sweet potato tots were really good though. Crispy and hot. We'll definitely be back for more games. read more

The quesadilla was extremely dry and the cheese was not spread evenly. In particular, the grilled chicken in the quesadilla was *very* dry and made one wonder when it was actually cooked (that day? the day before?). I dipped my quesadilla in my cheese sauce to combat the disappointment. The chips and queso were extremely alright. In particular, the chips had a very sour flavor to them so the combination of the chips and the queso together wasn't very satisfying. Everybody has their local cheap and friendly bar with surprisingly good food, and that's exactly what the Dam Grille is for me. I can - and do - walk here in the span of about five minutes from home. They have a formidable fleet of TVs that are usually tuned to whatever Colorado sports team is in season and it's a solid pick to watch "the game." They supplement the sports with pool tables, cheap/delicious food, and...a live lobster crane machine. It's about $5 per try and they'll cook the lobster right up for you. I confess that I've never seen anybody attempt to snag a lobster in this thing, let alone win one, but it has always been there. Maybe just the weirdness of it attracts customers. Maybe some inebriated customers have dropped a couple hundred chasing the lobster dream. Oooorr maybe the owner just likes having access to fresh lobsters. Whatever the case, it's a fun spot and a solid pick if you're just looking for a place to relax awhile and knock a few back. The menu has mostly good picks (the sweet potato tots are high on my list as a side) with emphasis on standard bar foods. I feel like I once ate the fish tacos and was slightly disappointed, but I seem to feel that way about enough places that I can't quite be sure. Great bar, unpretentious, supreme value. This will definitely become a regular spot. You may not expect it, located in a strip mall next to an adult day care center, but this place is excellent. It is spacious and well-decorated inside, and even has a stuffed cougar on the wall! The service was prompt and attentive, without being overbearing as can sometimes happen when places are less crowded (we were in for weekday lunch). The prices are unbeatable. A new standard has been set for bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers, they are a MUST. Sweet potato tots included with the $5 cheeseburger, can't be beat.
