I went after a round of golf with the cousin solely because this place followed me on Twitter. They didn't ask for anything, or even say anything on Twitter, that's just how I heard about them, and figured I'd give 'em a try. It's a sneaky-large; it's tucked into a strip mall and is way bigger than it seems. Decorated just fine, a little kind of rugged modern, and then a bunch of mirrors that make it seem even larger/stranger. It's got a 2nd level with some pool, plenty of seating, a nice horseshoe bar and plenty of TVs. There's a good amount of craft beer on tap, with your usual macros. The menu isn't huge, but it's got some great standard dive-bar staples with a few Mexican options as well. I went with an Odell's St. Lupulin, and a philly cheesesteak + bacon with fries. It was top notch all around. From clean tap lines, to well-seasoned fries, to nice crisp bacon tossed on top of a pretty decent cheesesteak -- I was very happy. 2 things stood out to me the most. First, I felt their prices were super reasonable for food. Second, they got kind of busy after we showed up, and despite only having one bartender on, she worked her butt off and did a really good job getting to everyone. We went on a sunday late. We didn't want to drive around late looking for someplace to eat. The other places in area were closing.. We came from the dam. They served Typical bar food...my friends or me were not impressed. I couldnt find anything on the menu that I could eat but chips n salsa since Or a garden salad...salsa not goid chips same. They should say small plate of lettuce. This is not a garden salad...A salad is not just lettuce with a few croutons thrown on top..!! FYI !! I'm used to it. BUT come on people...VEGGIES ARE CHEAP...its the meat that costs...feeding housing watering and paying someone to kill and dismember package store and send dead animals is whats expensive. Went here on Saturday night. We wanted to shoot a couple games of pool, but they have Sat. night pool tourney, and we didn't make it in time to get in. We came here the other night because we're moving into an apartment right next door. I have always liked the idea of being a regular somewhere awesome with cheap food and good drinks, and I have to say this place definitely fits the bill (no pun intended). The restaurant doesn't look like much. It's in a small corner of a shopping plaza on Quincy Ave behind Coloradoland Tire and Service. The inside is dark. The patio is small. However, this place was fairly busy for a Wednesday for a good reason. We started off with a half order of fried pickles and half order of fried mushrooms. Both were tasty, although the mushrooms were pretty messy. I ordered the patty melt and my friend ordered the burger. I didn't try the burger, but it looked good. The melt was great. I was so excited to see sweet potato tots on the menu and they were delicious as well. We came when they were doing a tap takeover by Eddyline Brewing, so the brewery owner came by and offered us free glasses if we bought a beer from them. I did a flight of their beers and they were all pretty good. The bill came by and the price was perfect. I was stuffed and could not be happier with what I spent. I have been in Denver for 3 weeks and checked out this place Wednesday night to catch some hockey (alone mind you). I arrived to find out it was Ladies Night and they had some pretty great deals along with 25 cent games of pool. All in it was a fantastic night. What stuck with me about this place was how utterly awesome the people that work there are. Aurelia, Nicole, Sally, and Chewy were all so incredibly friendly and welcoming and I felt really glad to have found a local watering hole where I can get great food, good company even when I do show up alone, can have fun, and have great service. The people make this place awesome. Food wise they have a specialty chicken sandwich that's great, burritos are great, hamburgers are huge and delicious. Can't go wrong! read more

This place is as divetastic as it gets. First of all, its located in a strip mall next to a run down microcenter and some gym I can't even remember the name of! It is owned by same people as JD's Bait Shop, and equally as fantastic dive. A friend I used to work with lives in the neighborhood and loves the place. When we meet up, he always wants to go there. I look forward to it! There is no pretense here. But, you can be sure to catch any and all sporting events that are on the tele, seeing as they have numerous widescreen TVs lining both sides of the bar. Each is tuned in to a different game. If you aren't interested in the games on TV, you can play your own game of pool. The food is your typical bar food, most of which has been deep fried to perfection. But, I go for the cheap drinks! They have a full bar with a staggering number of beers on tap (more than the usual dive). The wait and bar staff are especially nice. I'll definitely be back! read more

My fiancé and I were looking for a bar we could play a game of pool at without any trouble getting a table and still get good food after 10:00pm...so we found The Dam Grille nearby. Since it was only Tuesday we easily got one of their pool tables and ordered shots and food. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious! I really like this place. It can be loud at times, but that could be because I'm OLD. :) So I avoid Saturday nights because I dislike live music in a small space. They have large sized Jenga which I wish was outside because it's loud when it topples over!! But the food is amazing and priced very nicely. Drinks are nice as well. Decent beer selection. Difficult to get the attention of your server, which is never fun. I tried the burrito with beef, which had very little flavor to it, and comes with nothing on the side to spice it up. I had to dump a good amount of Tabasco on it to get it to taste like something. One of the bartenders was proudly shouting obscenities in Spanish, I guess assuming that nobody in the place spoke the language. The Dam Grille is a solid dive bar. It was empty (apparently it's not a big Mother's Day destination). The bar is sprawling and you get a good view of several TV's tuned to various sports programming. I had regular vodka drinks, my husband beer. We both had the fried tacos, which were quite tasty. I ordered a bowl of green chili to round out my Mexican theme, and it was solid, but didn't blow me away. My husband then ordered a large fried food platter (I'm still not sure why!). It was exactly what you'd expect of bar food - fried and served with several sauces (none appeared to be house made). Service is good, but also did not blow me away. Just a solidly average joint, but a great place to grab a brew, watch sports, and eat cheap bar food. read more

Came here on a Saturday around noon because it was on the way home from Park Meadows and I heard this place had good wings and indeed it was. This dive bar is located in a pretty quiet strip mall with many vacant spaces. The hot breaded wings were hot, spicy, crunchy and delicious. I've never had wings like this, it was like regular hot wings that were breaded over the sauce then fried. 10 wings for only 6.50. A domestic beer was $3.00. The only negative to this place was they charged 50 cents for a side of BBQ sauce (don't ask why i wanted BBQ with my wings). I would come back just for the wings if I was in the area. read more

Really THE BEST place to watch "the game". Small, comfy, clean bar, with a little bit of a divey feel. Tons of TV's everywhere, with all the bar food staples. Their hot tossed wings have a great kick, the cheese stuffed bacon wrapped jalapenos are perfection. Everything reasonably priced. 5 stars for the beer. 4 starts for the rest, the wait is always long after a ski day, the food is a lot of bar food so depending on what you get 3-4 stars as some of the flavor is underwhelming, bacon was not crispy and burger a little greasy. I just moved to DTC area in September from North Carolina and you have no idea how delighted I was to find a cozy sports bar in my neighborhood. The staff is all so friendly and I've found myself returning multiple times a week. Ice cold beer and the wings are massive. Jukebox can be operated by your phone! Everything was fine. The food came and it was decent. The service was acceptable but far from great. Overall it was a typical dive experience which I tend to enjoy. One of the best part of dives is that you can eat and drink for a fairly reasonable price. True to form, things were affordable and the expectations I had when entering, were fulfilled. Then my buddy and I got the bill. For EVERY drink that had ice added - 2 extra dollars! 2 dollars! I had three bourbons on the rocks that cost 4 bucks without ice and 6 with. I could have purchased and shared ice with the entire crowd at the bar twice, with a two dollar bag of ice. Instead I paid 6 extra dollars for 3-6 cubes in each glass. It's some low down dirty s**h! So petty. So trashy. Thanks for the heads up you past-your-prime bartenders! Weak. read more

Good food. They host the Vikings games in Sunday which is great considering I've only ever found 1 other one here. However, if you want to be served, don't sit on the patio. I was here for an hour before we finally had to walk up to the bar to get someone out here. After that, we got our food and drinks and didn't hear back from the server for 2 hours! My bf was very upset because he ordered unlimited mimosa that ended at 1pm. He got only 2 rounds of drinks. Good food, good drinks, but don't plan on coming here when it's busy. read more

Great dive bar right in the tech center! If you're a Minnesota Vikings fan, then this bar is for you! They have excellent brunch specials and bottomless mimosas on the weekends (so you'll want to stop by). The buffalo chicken salad is awesome! Also, their nachos are an excellent value. You can get a half order of nachos (pretty big plate) for $4 and they are tasty! They have fire places outside on their patio as well so its great for all year round! read more

I give this place no stars as of the times I've been there, believe me it was out desperation, it was super loud and the food sucked. The waitress does not attend to her tables so it's a very long time before you can order. Then the kitchen takes their time too. I realize it's a bar but the crowd in there are ignorant and rude. There has always been a moron wearing red shorts, t shirt, and cap who speaks so filthy and so loud that it takes over the whole upper level. Destroys an already crappy atmosphere. I live within walking distance from the Dam Grille, which is awesome when you don't want to worry about driving anywhere, and especially awesome in the summer when it's not cold. I'm giving it 3 stars, simply because I'm not a huge fan of sports bars, but it is a really cool place. The bar inside is fairly small, but plasma TV's litter the upper portion of the bar, and pool tables and a couple arcade games are in the other part of the bar. I mainly go to The Dam Grille to chill with friends, and as I said, because it's very close to me. Their food is pretty good, from what I've had, a tad bit overpriced, but still good. Their hot wings are EXCELLENT, you absolutely have to try them! I love hanging out on the patio most, it's small, but is heated in the winter, which is great for smokers! Did I mention the hot wings? They have a pretty decent selection of beer on tap, I don't think I've ordered much of any mixed drinks there, but I'm sure they can do those too. Goes good with hot wings. The crowd is a little older (sorry, no offense meant to anyone), and on the weekends you're sure to see some yo-yo-homies and drunk guys that will probably hit on you. All in all, if you enjoy some football or basketball and beer, this is a pretty cool place to check out. P.S. Try the hot wings! read more

Visited a friend in the DTC area where we visited here 2 times while I was in town. The first time was awesome server was happy and smiling. Drinks were even better after a long day in the mountains. They have many locally brewed beers. Didn't give a 5 star due to poor service on my second visit. On April 19th two women working the bar I believe the locals called them by Chelsea and Sally refused to allow me to buy a drink for two others sitting at the bar. Yelling at the other two sitting across the bar saying I had to order it. I waved to get the bar tenders their attention but both women walked away somewhere in the back for a long period of time. After returning to the bar area many people had empty drinks including myself. I choose to leave after two drinks due to the service being poor. 4stars because I don't believe the women make or break this place. Visited The Dam years ago when I was in town with no issues. Hope to return in December with better service from the two women if they are still around. Continue to serve great food and drinks. Cheers until next time Colorado read more

I have never frequented this Dam! grille "in person." However, since ordering out is almost essential for me -- due to certain reasons -- I tried this joint after I tried my joint. Bingo. Top notch. The thing I liked most (believe it or not) was the containers used for the food. Instead of the limp, cheap, styrofoam petroleum products normally used as food carriers -- these guys -- use paper products of a substantial sort. The food is fresh. Crisp. No microwave swirl & slop. I love the food. And, it comes in a fresh unused paper bag. No used Walmart plastic bags. It's pricier than the styrofoam goulash but, when I can afford it -- the Dam Grille is my top choice for standard American food; delivered. I probably won't physically show-up there. Alcohol, pool tables, and 25-year-old millennials don't attract me. Happy hunting. read more
