I had a wonderful walk on my back massage with Amy. It was really great and balanced her body weight over my shoulders and back and the pressure was about perfect for me. I left feeling completely refreshed and relaxed and had a little bit of soreness the next day, but in the good way. They were also very understanding when I let them know I was running late for my appointment and they still went at least the full amount of time without making me feel rushed. It's truley hit or miss. I had a great massage there two weeks ago from Jen. However, tonight was awful. The woman who checked me in also gave me the massage. She was in dress clothes and heals and I thought it was odd to wear for a massage therapist. The massage was 20 minutes of pressing on my back over the sheet... the lotion didn't come out until 25 minutes in. I could tell from her style she wasn't a massage therapist...and if so, a poor one. It felt like they were under staffed and there was nobody else to give me the massage but her. At one point, she left the room to check someone in. Such a horrible experience! I got a couples massage and it turned from bad to worse. First both of the women were laughing in the beginning and the my massage lady dropped the oil bottle on my head. Her name was Ruby by the way, DO NOT go to her. She also dropped the hot stones on my back and then dropped the hot stones on the floor. Wouldn't recommend to friends and family, even if you have spare classpass points. I recently moved to Bay Area and am looking to find all new services here. On top of that research, I've had severe pain in my shoulders and shoulder blades, so I booked this with intention of real muscle relief! Not sure what my therapists name was, she didn't introduce herself or ask any questions beforehand. This shows how much a massage therapist cares about their work, so I already knew it was going to be mail order/vibes-based touching. She used a lot of pressure to push my shoulder into my ears and wiggle my kneecaps and press into my spine, but totally glided past my knots. Her technique was careless and inconsistent. Even her towel/sheet techniques were inappropriate. The therapist I worked with seemed more like a friend of the owner that needed a job, rather than a therapist who's interested in their work. It also smelled and wasn't clean. I considered not tipping but they stared me down so intensely, the $10 felt like the easiest escape route. read more

Got a gift card here you have to call the book I booked online. They asked for a credit card which is normal in case you don't show up or you're late and they charge you a fee, but they instead charge my card. I called immediately to let them know the mistake. No one picked up when I finally got a hold of somebody. They said that there was nothing they could do about it and then I already paid and I cannot be refunded. They also don't speak English very well so trying to communicate with them is incredibly difficult. The price is very high for the quality of Massage as well. I would say Massage Envy is about 10 times as good as they are and then any spa you go to is obviously 100 times better. If you're looking for a cheap massage, there are certainly locations that are lower cost. You can buy the Groupon or ClassPass, which is about a third the cost that they have at their website but I still don't think it's worth it even at $40 for an hour Massage. I have lower back issues that have been a problem for years, and my preference is for deep muscle work to relieve tightness. Julie, an experienced therapist, understands the areas that need special attention, and she is the best that I have had. Remarkably, Julie was able to trigger-point my tension areas and relieve pressure in my hips, mid-back, and lower back. I also enjoy back-walking to delve deeper and really target the problem spots. I highly recommend treatment from her. You will not be disappointed. The massage was blended with firm pressure as well as a very relaxing, Swedish-style, stress-relief finish. The environment is clean, quiet, and always has an inviting scent. The entire team is warm and friendly, and I have found them to be courteous and professional. I went for a 90 minute massage (first time client). Co Co was my masseuse and she was great. She has very strong hands, so I did have to ask her to lighten up; which she promptly did. This is not a high-end spa and you are not paying high-end prices. My 90 minutes massage was $108. I was not pressured to tip before going in (as another reviewer mentioned) nor was I even asked after (but I did tip). The staff was very friendly. If you are looking for a good massage, this is it. If ambience matters, then you may want to seek elsewhere. Noise travels in this place. You can hear the door chime, phone, people talking in the neighboring rooms. However, the massage rooms themselves are suitable. Nice soothing music, warming beds, dim lighting. Again, if you are simply wanting to relax and have a nice massage and you don't need all the glitz and glamour of a high-end spa and don't want to pay high-end prices, definitely try this place out! read more

This place is my new favorite spot. I have been twice now and left feeling great. I put my back and body through a lot at work and off work. I was all kinds of tight. Could hardly turn my head to the left. Got a 90 min deep tissue massage and the woman giving me the massage was great. She was also very nice. Went in for a couples massage. Staff was confused and started behind schedule. Still managed to end early (so I didn't get a full 60 mins). Massage wasn't as thorough as norm. Felt rushed. Masseuse sneezed twice and didn't turn away fast enough. I would've appreciated if she had washed her hands before resuming. When I reluctantly left a $20 tip the woman demanded more money! Oh man this place is sooo hit and miss. My husband have been going there off and on for a few yrs, mainly because it's 5 min from the house and we can usually get in same day. In the beginning the girls were pretty good. Diligent, more or less competent (although I don't tink any of them are officially trained - I'm sure if I could communicate (very little english) and asked what muscle group they were working on they wouldn't have a clue. That said, we were mostly ok. ANd sometimes, they'd be great. And sometimes, some newby would come in fresh off the boat and be way out of her comfort zone. Rooms are often cold and I have to tell them repeatedly to get blaankets which they don't seem to understand. They use cold oil which is always a bit uncomfortable. Nothing like it to make your muscles contract. Anyway, last time I went it was just ridiculous trying to communicate. I have sciatic nerve pain trying to tell her don't go deep in that area and she just dug right in deep right there. Then about 15 minutes just smoothing oil on my back in monotonous motions, I gave up, got off the table, asked for my money back (which took about 15 minutes of her on my phone talking to the owner) which she finally coughed up and I left. It's been about 10 months so my hub and I will try again. Hoping they've up leveled there gig there. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for a couples massage after buying a Groupon, and our massages were great! The beds and room were clean. The right amount of pressure was applied during the massage. I felt great after. They could work on improving a couple of things--the head rest was uncomfortable when you're lying face down. My head was starting to hurt and I tried adjusting throughout the massage. You could also hear the people talKing in the lobby--they need to add some soundproofing. My husband gave me a gift certificate for this place for Valentine's Day of this year. I was so excited to get a massage, when COVID hit and everything shut down and I had to put my massage on hold. I waited, and waited, and waited some more. Then finally it seemed like it was safe enough to venture out and at least go get a massage. I wanted to make sure it was open and I finally called. Apparently during the whole quarantine closure, this place changed ownership. My husband just happened to call beforehand and bought a gift certificate online and surprised me on Valentine's day....by the time I was able to call...the new owner had taken over....and thank goodness for me. The person that answered was unable to help me, but she took my number down and the owner (Miao) texted me later that night. She was very nice explained to me what happened and that I could come in any day to their salon.....Fast forward to the day of our visit. The salon was hard to get to because Google took us to another location....we ended up being about 3 blocks away but we found the spa. When we walked in we were greeted by MIao and her massage therapist, and we were taken to a couples room....it was so clean and everything looked nice. calm music, good lighting, and the tables were very well covered with disposable paper and 2 covers where the faces are placed. We wore our masks when we had to turn face up, but it was overall so nice. So relaxing. The 2 Massage techs that we had wore masks too. The entire experience was very nice. EXACTLY what I wanted. When we were done we felt so nice and relaxed...it was a very pleasant experience overall and I am so glad we were forced to wait until recently to go. My husband and I have never had massages like this before...they give you a good deep tissue massage, then follow up with hot stones....it was so good. The cost was really reasonable. There was a special where the cost of the gift certificate was good for 2 full body massages...so my husband got to enjoy it too. Which was very nice. Overall, I do recommend this place. It looks like they clean up very well and they make sure to use precautions in order to keep everyone safe. I would recommend going first thing in the morning so you can find parking. I would recommend this business to a friend. In fact, it was recommended to me by a co-worker. The first time I made an appointment, I ended up cancelling to visit a place closer to my home. That was a mistake. The second time, I made my reservation online. Making the reservation was easy, however, in part, this is why I'm giving a 4-star rating: I had to pay in order to book the appointment and check out. This is the second massage business that wants payment before service. I certainly hope this isn't becoming a trend. What's worse is that I didn't get a receipt for my payment. When I arrived, it seemed the person who greeted me was going to charge me before taking me back until I told her (and showed her) my Apple Pay payment on my phone. The room was toasty when I arrived which I was so pleased about because it was a very chilly morning. The therapist "Julia Julia" was good. She was easily able to find all of the knots. My only "complaint" if you will is that her pressure was a bit light for me. She asked me how the pressure was, I asked for a little more and she did apply more pressure for a few minutes, maybe five, before she returned to the softer touch. Later in conversation, we were talking about acupressure and she admitted she doesn't like to do it because her fingers would hurt. Overall, she did a really good job. The other "complaint" I have is that they put down paper towel in the head rest. Paper towel is so rough on our skin. The establishment is fairly priced and looked clean. I would return and possibly give another therapist a try but ultimately might even return to Julia Julia. She really is able to find the trouble areas. read more

You have to understand what you are getting here. With a Groupon it's not very expensive. It is also not luxurious. When one thinks of spa there are visions of sauna, hot tub, aromatherapy. There is none of that here. It is a few small rooms That are heated by very loud space heaters. There are ropes attached to the ceiling, I assume to support the masseuse as she walks on your back. I did not have any back walking. I would say the experience was OK, I don't particularly like the thumping that comes with this kind of massage but it was OK. I don't know that I would return. True, it's half the cost, or maybe even a third of a more high-end massage, but the experience is quite austere. They would also do better if they worked on their phone professionalism. Both when I called to make the appointment and when they called me 10 minutes before the appointment started to confirm that I was coming, I had no idea if I had reached the business or been called by the business. I had to ask a few times "is this Danville spa?" Anyway, the massage is fine, it's not expensive, the people are very nice. It's just not a spa. read more

Super clean, new, nice place and one of the best deep tissue massages my fiance and I have had in a long time. We had Mark and Mimi (I think that's what her name is) and they were both great. The pressure was right on and they gave us a full 60 minute non stop great massages. The room was nice and clean and the sheets were clean and smelled so good which was a huge plus for me. We got the special $40/person deep tissue massage which was way worth it. They also accepted credit card without extra charge. The front desk young lady was nice and professional! I suggest moving foot massages to a private and quiet area. The therapists were less experienced and talked a lot during massage adding to the inability to relax. Overall the ladies here are very nice. However, massage is not as good. The ladies here seem to be beginners and don't have a specific technique to the massage. Seems like they are winging it and there is not intensity in pressure of the massage. I have them a try 3-4 times, since there isn't many in Danville but it's not worth the money read more

I think maybe the massage therapist we had need more training/schooling. My husbands massage therapist kept sniffling so loud and it made the session not relaxing as that's all we kept hearing. Got a same day appointment on a Saturday and the massage was great! There is parking right in front and it was easy to find. I did a 60 minuet massage but next time I will probably do longer if I have more time. I was a little nervous because when I went their page only had two reviews, but I was very happy with the service. I will say it's nothing fancy like a day spa, but I don't mind, a good massage is a good massage :) Also, big plus is that the person doing my massage didn't chat with me like some do!
