I can't thank them enough! Alan, their local arborist in Elgin, came out today to look at our pine tree which is slowly "balding". He was very professional, VERY knowledgeable and was honest and thorough about possible treatment plans, the outcomes and the cost-effectiveness. He gave us a bunch of bad news. Took forever to have requested work done. Cited the weather.... for months? They also quoted $130 per man hour to prune a tree. Sorry but I don't think those people are making that. Terrible value. Would never recommend. read more

I have a major issue with a tree, they came out and gave me a very honest appraisal. The tree was a little beyond help and they advised me that it would be a waste of money to try and fix the problem. We've trusted Davey to care for our precious mature trees for almost 10 years. A branch from a long declining oak suddenly crashed to the ground one night but was still hanging from the tree, obstructing our front entry, resting on top of our hardscaping, narrowly missing the house. We were scheduled to leave on vacation 5 days later and concerned about leaving our home in this condition. Alan and Will shuffled their week around to consult with us on the situation and get the tree removed 2 days before we left. I'm so grateful for their help & the understanding of the kind fellow client who rescheduled a less urgent job so we could get this.
