We pass by this place quite often and decided to stop in for cocktails. We didn't realize this was actually part of the Saloon next door not that it has any bearing on this review. The interior is quite spacious and has several different rooms, all very inviting. The place was busy when we arrived, which gave it an inviting and lively, although slightly noisy vibe. The barkeeps were busy and it was kind of fun watching them work together as they mixed poured various drinks. We decided we were in the mood for their Smoked Old Fashioned so that's what we ordered. At $22 each, I was expecting something a bit more than what we got. The barkeep made both of our drinks in a tumbler using only 1 shot of Woodford bourbon. Total. They were tasty enough, but tiny. I felt or the price we paid we would have at least gotten two drinks, not one split between us. We enjoyed our time there, but we decided one and done was good enough. We didn't reorder. read more

The food, the service and the atmosphere was amazing. The owner came to our table and had a conversation. She was very nice and authentic. You could tell she really cares about her business. I'm not much of a cheese and wine person but my wife is and she absolutely loved everything I enjoyed some of the cheeses myself just not the smelly ones.lol I recommend anyone that's in town to stop by and really get a taste of what the French enjoy. read more

We came here for a night cap after dinner during the week and while the wine and liquor selection is vast, the overall atmosphere is a bit odd. Its extremely well lit for a cocktail lounge - it didnt give off date night or lounge vibes. Also, they had a limited list of signature cocktails so I ordered a standard martini which was done pretty poorly - other people I know who went there said the same thing. I think if I went here again I'd stick to wine pours. read more

The cake is topped with butter pecan ice cream and caramel drizzle!! It's absolutely phenomenal! We popped in a few weeks ago- when my in-laws were visiting and they didn't want to drink, so we sadly left. I was thrilled to stop in again this past weekend! An upscale bar with a huge selection of wine, beer and signature craft cocktails! The inside is sophisticated and plush with bougie furniture. It's bigger than you realize too- there is bar seating, seating in front and on both sides of the bar and a room behind the bar for private functions! The glass wine bottle wall is on either side of the private space. They also serve small bites and decadent desserts. I was laughing at the number of people who cupped their hands around their eyes to peer in through the glass windows or opened the or to peek in and leave. I guess that was us a few weeks ago- we didn't make it passed the dessert cakes! I can't wait to return and try more from their menu- I had their Jazzy Chocolate cocktail- sinfully strong and wonderful. John had the specialty smoked Old Fashioned- we tried each others drinks and they were both superb. It was odd that there were no draft beers available for our guests and that you were out of a few appetizers. Not the end of the world but for that type of place, I think that should be a rarity. We have been walking by this place for a few months and finally decided to drop in and have a few. Excellent atmosphere and a nice crowd. Signature cocktails and top shelf selections. We had some smoky old fashions that were out of this world, expertly prepared and brought to the table with a plank still smoking. Great service and excellent seating . We also had some signature martinis prepared with ginger and lemon . Prices are reasonable with daily specials. This is one of our new favorite places to go with people visiting . Sad times. Came here once before with a great experience. Tried to come back and was left unattended and with no chance to order after sitting at the bar for 15 minutes. But don't worry the man who jaunted up to the bar after we arrived got a drink ordered and paid for before we were asked a single question. Sad when a good hang out spot lacks observation. We love this place. It offers a higher end drinking experience in a very vintage building with lots of charm and history. Nice wine menu and great craft cocktails. Also, their desserts are delicious. I had i think it was called jale berry which was strawberry shrub, tequila and deliciousness. We were able to get a hot buffet of a beef, tenderloin, with yummy chicken, and waffles, a pretty, sizable, charcuterie plate, and lots of wine! We ended up opting over for bottles because of the size of our group, but there was a great variety offered. Since it was a private event, we did not have access to everything, but did see that the Decantery allowed guests to purchase lockers to fill with their own specialty spirits and wine to enjoy throughout the year, I believe the cost was about $500 per year, similar to a exclusive membership or a lounge club. Our bartender, Laszlo from "What we do in the Shadows" was pretty lousy. We ordered two espresso martinis, for our birthdays, and enjoyed them. Ordered two more martinis and asked Laszlo the price of a 2017 Opus One as it's my absolute favorite wine. After about 30 minutes of no response we asked the woman that was doing inventory what the price was. She told me $325. Waited a while longer as the waiter never...ever...responded so we asked for the check. We really wanted to buy the Opus One but due to our lazy bartender we did not. Holy crap is this place a gem! We were visiting Amelia Island for the week and stopped in here several times due to how incredibly talented bartender Austin is. He's the most passionate mixologist (I know he said he hated that word! ) I've ever come across. He makes several different simple syrups from scratch with fresh ingredients that he's likely grown himself -- how amazing is that?! I tried a Hibiscus Mule and Hibiscus Mojito and they both were incredible as was the Iced Vanilla Latte (love me some boozy coffee!) I so wish I had found this bar earlier! I found this bar as my group was exploring on our last night in Amelia Island. We all decided to cut loose a bit. We had all gone thru a ton of classes at the conference. I partied a little after everyone left as I had been really stressed out with the move from Miami, new job, last minute conference, all the while i was still coordinating contractors, handymen, interior decorator and movers... i needed to have fun and relax. During the time I was in the group, we heard while at another bar that this place was a cool place to have a drink. Oh yeah! And it's classy. I come in and find a beautiful bar... I love it! Wine bottles, champagne bottles (served all day), expensive booze everywhere. The place screams luxury. I thought yes... I think not only I would love this place but my friend Apple if she were here would love it too. I then saw a bottle of Louis XIII with a prominent display at the center and I was like nice! I was tempted to get some, but I'm on a budget for a bit because of the move. So I settled for a baileys... While there, there was this saleswoman selling jewelry there as well. The group took the time to buy from her as they needed last minute gifts for their wives for Valentines Day. I laughed seeing them, while I enjoyed my time at the bar having some good drinks and having a funny conversation with the bar tender. She was hilarious. So yeah I guess that's one good thing about being single during V-day. I don't have to spend any of my hard earned money for no reason. Still, it was cool they had that. Excellent wine bar in downtown Fernandina. The selection of wines is there best I've seen in NE Florida. They even have an automated dispenser that operates on a card you purchase at the bar. The seating is comfortable and there are a number of private seating area among the aisles of wines. The specialty cocktails are incredible highlighted by an outstanding old fashioned.
