Overly cooked loaded fries

We ordered loaded fries, but the bacon was burned and the cheese dried out. Our Philly cheesesteak was generously sized but flavorless. Service was also super slow and we waited forever for our check. No one came to refill our waters (which had a really weird taste). The help were just sitting at tables on their phones for a good chunk of the time. Will not be returning.

Jerk Chicken Mac & Cheese

This is a true hidden gem. I would've never know about if someone had not shown me this place. Everything homemade, great portions, excellent service, prices are very reasonable. Get the brownie it's totally worth blowing your carb count for the day. I had the jerk chicken Mac and Cheese. I loved the fusion of flavors. If you are in or around the Salisbury area, you gotta try this place!

Italian Sub

Omg the staff is so awesome here! The food was AMAZING! The soup had a good kick and the sub was fresh. If you are in the area you need to stop by.

A nice family restaurant. Plenty of portion size and food is hot and homemade. Steve and his family are truly wonderful people.

Another dish they had on the show was one I've heard about as a local sweet item it is called Pretzel salad; I'd never had it.

Attentive (not too) service. Oyster appetizer, rockfish main (split) filled us and left us with happy moans at each bite. They happily split the entree and the portion was plenty.

George may not have slept here, but he may have stopped by for Sunday brunch on occasion during his Yorktown Campaign or his presidency. The Washington Hotel bears his name and it has been rehabilitated and maintained in colonial style to feel genuine and welcoming. When I walked in they were doing a bridal shower, so I grabbed a stool in the barroom near the back kitchen. Service was amenable despite working their tooshies off for the bridal party. I didn't mind waiting and having a break from the long drive home from Newport News. There were several ghosts accompanying me at the bar. The food was excellent. Veggie Omelet and Potato Hash were both farm to table fresh, and the coffee was brisk and hot. Worth the wait. The hotel was as much museum as bed & breakfast. Tons of charm without being gitchee. And, right off Route 13 on the Eastern Shore. Easy on and off. Five Historic Stars for Sugar Water and the Washington Hotel.

We started with the shrimp salad on toast points, and I had an outstanding espresso martini. The appetizer was tasty, although it was very creamy such that I could not visibly recognize the shrimp. For dinner, I ordered the seafood Alfredo, and my wife ordered the market-price "Lump Crabcake" entrée. The Alfredo was very good, although the scallops were bay scallops rather than sea scallops, and for the price I expected a little more seafood. Her entrée included vegetables, while I had to order mine separately as an additional side. The biggest disappointment was the crabcakes. Despite being promoted as "lump crabcake," they appeared to be mostly filler with finely shredded crab, with perhaps 15% lump crabmeat. The flavor was good, but not exceptional, and I found the name of the entrée misleading. I am accustomed to a lump crabcake being predominantly lump crab. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding, which seemed unsure whether it wanted to be bread pudding or apple pie. It was fine, but not especially memorable. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere, received excellent service, and thought much of the food was good to very good. However, the crabcakes were quite disappointing, especially given the description and market price. Our bill before tip came close to $150, which was a bit of a shock considering the quality and portions. Calvin and the espresso martini were definite highlights, but the crabcakes did not live up to expectations.
