I think I found my 'Cheers' of Salisbury, tucked right off S Salisbury Blvd. The signage blends in with all the other signage so if you blink, you'll miss it but you don't want to. Trust me... IYKYK Upon entering, we were greeted by Mary. An absolute spitfire! Her energy and obvious experience truly make her an asset to Sage Diner. She knows the menu inside & out and made excellent recommendations. Mary's effervescence truly makes the Sage Diner feel like you're at Mary's home. She welcomes you, ribs you a little and chats with you. VERY indispensable employee to have. We opted for: 1) Navy bean soup: It had just the right hint of old bay. Freshly made, in house. A fantastic start to a hearty meal. I only wish the serving size was larger. Had I known the Navy Bean soup was so good initially, I would have gotten a bowl as my meal. Yum!!! SCORE! 2) My buddy opted for the: Salmon burger w/ lettuce, tomato, Cole slaw, pickle, fries. He truly seemed to love his meal. He hardly spoke as he devoured his dish. 3) Turkey bacon club w/ Swiss cheese. I haven't had a club sandwich in years but was quite happy I chose to revisit a club sandwich here. The bacon was plentiful (generous serving), the tomato was just the right amount and the cheese was the perfect accent. Prepared in-house. Delicious. SCORE!!! **Special Shout Out: I don't know who was in the back making the Cole Slaw but it was so incredibly good. It reminded me of how Cole Slaw used to taste back when I was a kid. DEEEE-LICIOUS!! SCORE!! While dining, an Older Couple joined our conversation and the four of us had an amazing time chatting, eating and joking with one another. I loved it! This may be a staple for when I'm in town.

Went out for lunch to Sage. Sage is a comfortable diner on the S Salisbury Boulevard strip. My friend noticed today's special when we entered it was the Salmon Burger which came with fries, a pickle, and cokeslaw. Mary our spunky host made it sound delicious and so I ordered it. Food: As salmon burgers go it was delicious. The fries are average fries but as our waitress Rose explained everything is made fresh here aside from the pickles. I ordered coffee which had free refills and was delicious. My friend ordered the turkey club sandwich which looked amazing. The navy bean soup was delicious too and was seasoned with a hint of old bay and was tomato based was delicious with nice chunks if celery. A very homemade feel! Service: Both Rose our Bolivian American waitress who served us with a smile, and Mary who's energy makes her seem as energetic as any teen who has been serving for 25 years were as delightful as the food definitely coming back.

Found this just driving to Assateague in search of breakfast. Standard diner w great service and good food. Huge portions for price. No frills setting and country home cookin. Tried scrapple for the first time and loved it. Hearty and meaty, great crunch on the outside, soft and juicy in the crnter. If you like liverwurst and pate, you'll love scrapple. Add some mustard and egg and it's a gourmet deli tastexpeience. Would recommend world return.

Just a solid 4 star experience all the way around. The cheesesteak omlette was perfectly cooked! I substituted provolone for American cheese and it was a good move. The cheese was smooth, buttery and creamy with the steak having a good level of moisture and the eggs cooked perfectly. The personal touch of stockings hung with each of their employees' names added a down home feel. While the mopping and cleaning the floors may be necessary it probably is less necessary right beside me while I eat. I had enough of the bleach smell while visiting the hospital recently and didn't need it next to my meal. I guess I am picky like that! The employees need to learn to go to the side to have conversations about who is doing what or who needs to do whatever. I don't need to be in the know I swear! All around pleasant inexpensive diner. If you come here expecting Panera Bread you will be disappointed. Come on in, relax and enjoy some decent cookin'!

We started with the shrimp salad on toast points, and I had an outstanding espresso martini. The appetizer was tasty, although it was very creamy such that I could not visibly recognize the shrimp. For dinner, I ordered the seafood Alfredo, and my wife ordered the market-price "Lump Crabcake" entrée. The Alfredo was very good, although the scallops were bay scallops rather than sea scallops, and for the price I expected a little more seafood. Her entrée included vegetables, while I had to order mine separately as an additional side. The biggest disappointment was the crabcakes. Despite being promoted as "lump crabcake," they appeared to be mostly filler with finely shredded crab, with perhaps 15% lump crabmeat. The flavor was good, but not exceptional, and I found the name of the entrée misleading. I am accustomed to a lump crabcake being predominantly lump crab. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding, which seemed unsure whether it wanted to be bread pudding or apple pie. It was fine, but not especially memorable. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere, received excellent service, and thought much of the food was good to very good. However, the crabcakes were quite disappointing, especially given the description and market price. Our bill before tip came close to $150, which was a bit of a shock considering the quality and portions. Calvin and the espresso martini were definite highlights, but the crabcakes did not live up to expectations.
