We really enjoyed Evolution. It was a great find as we drove through the Eastern Shore from Virginia Beach. It's big and has a nice outdoor area. There is plenty of parking. Service was friendly. We each got a sandwich and split the Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were addictively good. Our sandwiches were good as well, especially my smoked pork sandwich. We had leftovers, which heated up well. I sample the Rise Up stout and it was smooth and coffee-forward, which I loved. I'd be happy to stop at Evolution anytime.

Oct. 2025 My wife and I were in the area and stopped in for lunch. They have a huge outdoor seating area for when the weather is nice. We sat at the bar -- they brew their own beers here, and on Saturdays they offer free tours. We ordered our drinks while looking over the menu. My wife had a cheese pizza with garlic. She said it was okay but probably wouldn't order it again. I had the Cuban sandwich, which I've ordered a few times here. It was very good with a good amount of ham and pork, though the bread was a little on the soggy side this time -- it happens occasionally. The French fries were hand-cut and fried perfectly, as always. Overall, it's a good place to stop in for lunch.

First time here! I love their beer so it was great to be able to stop here for some beers and food! The pizza was really great- we got the Drunken Hawaiian pizza and the pepperoni pizza. I also got the Evo white beer which I liked a lot. The beer flights are huge glasses fyi!

Fabulous service! Go Taylor! The kitchen accommodated my GF diet and provided fabulous Crab dish! Great private booth and nostalgic music!

Pulled pork sandwich had good flavor!

We were driving to Virginia to visit family. We had our dog with us and wanted a place to eat that was dog friendly. Evolution Brewing has an absolutely fantastic outdoor seating area! Really built up nicely. Our waitress was extremely friendly and professional. The food took a while to come out but that was ok because we were enjoying a break from driving. My pulled pork sandwich was tasty but wasn't served at optimal temperature. As a New Yorker, I wasn't overly impressed by the pizza that my daughter had. The side Caesar salads my wife and daughter had seemed good. I haven't drank alcohol in years but if I did, this would definitely be the place to be. Awesome tap list! Very good dog friendly place to stop on a road trip!

I've enjoyed the beer for many years at different events and bars. My first time at the Public House was very enjoyable. Bartender was very friendly and answered questions about the best wings. He suggested Thai Chili and he was on point. Sweet and spicy was the perfect blend for EV #3. Only critique was the wings needed more sauce. My visit was during an event and there was limited access but it appears there is a nice outdoor space and large space beyond the bar area. I'll be back for the full experience.

Make sure to be ID ready. But then they'll let anyone drink . Ambient is meh. linds is the only one at evo. No one is worthy

garlic parm are my favorite wings; these are primal pale ale

We had lunch delivered to work and EVO is across the street . Food is not hot or warm . Reheated fries . I found the presentation of the cheese burger aesthetically unappealing and tasting blah . Under seasoned burger...See pic. . The smallest slice of red onion you have ever seen. No pop of color to be seen . No napkins for delivery order. Girls said the " Sunshine Harvest " pizza was just not good and requesting never to order from here again . What has happened to EVO? I have been eating here for years and it's really gone downhill! Let's hope they can figure this out ...

Would recommend another option. Food was cold, service was subpar and pricing is not justified with the quality of food nor service.

Multiple sours for me, hazy IPAs for he, and pumpkin flavored beer to usher in autumn. After that huge setup all we got were fries and beer lmao. The point is we COULD HAVE gotten more if we wanted it. Fries were hot and crispy. The pumpkin beer was incredible. And of note, the actual restaurant space was huge. With Rona numbers on the rise, we opted to sit outside on the huge patio. All in all, def worth a visit especially if you're in nearby Assateague or similar attractions and are tired of crabs lol.

But be warned it is messy. So yes food was good so why the four stars instead of five unfortunately it was our service. Even though we ordered our appetizer, a Bavarian pretzel ahead of time it did not come out until our meal. And yes this can be timing from the kitchen. But we hardly saw our server, her section for the evening was so spread out that she was not attentive to us. We will still go back just hoping our service will be better.

So we drove 30 minutes from OC last Sunday night, arrived about 6:30 to what seemed like a closed business. No one in the front of the house bar and foe a newcomer, didn't really know where to go. We heard laughter, but didn't know where and looking down another room, looked like it ended at another set of doors. We turned around again and then ran into an older couple leaving who told us, service is slow, they had to hunt down their waiter, but the nachos were good and filling along with avoiding eating outside as the gnats were terrible. Despite that ominous warning, we decided to try it and luckily as we wandered closer to the noise, ran into an employee that acted like a manager. She was eager to please, seat us and tell us that if we minded the bar noise (NFL game with boisterous fans) she'd move us. We didn't mind as it was better to be in a lively bar scene than a dead dining room. Service was definitely slow despite the emptiness of patrons. I decided I wanted to try the featured salmon I saw from the Foodie Friday segment. It sounded and looked so good with a Thai sauce cooked in the wood burning oven supposedly. When it was served it didn't look as I remembered from TV and whatever wonderful flavors the telecaster tasted, was definitely not what I experienced. Basically the salmon was ruined by over indulgence in a salt bath. The vegetable side was lacking anything but onions and a few slices of squash. At least there was a healthy serving of rice, which I thought was good, little sticky, but I'm a huge rice fan anyway you serve it. My husband (the salt king) ordered the Chicken Alfredo. He liked the chicken which tasted like it was cooked on a grill and shredded on top of the pasta. The Alfredo sauce was tasty, but he felt it was overly salty. I did try it after my salty salmon and my taste buds must have been salted out as I didn't notice that comment, but I enjoyed that meal in FLAVOR MUCH better than the salmon dinner. Restroom was appalling! There was NO TP, paper towels strewn all over the floor for some reason. Thank goodness they had paper towels. They do charge different pricing for cash vs credit.
