That said, I still had a great time overall thanks to the entertainment. If you're going for the laughs, it's worth it--just don't go for the food.

Online you will see a ticket price and the fee, Google will tell you that if you go in person, you will not have to pay that fee but if you call, she will explain to you that the ticket price goes to the Comedian and the fee goes to the venue. We went to the 930 show that stated doors were at 9 PM. That's not really correct though because the exterior door opened around 9 PM but you're not able to go find seats l at that time and you're still in line. If you are in the beginning of the line at 9 PM, then you can wait inside the lobby, otherwise you have to wait outside which is kind of crazy. Luckily, we were in the beginning part that made it inside because one of our guests that arrived 10 minutes after the lobby opened is pregnant. She wouldn't have been able to stand in heels outside all that time and when she walked up to the line and told the older Caucasian man that her mom was in the lobby with the tickets he was adamant that she needed to go to the back of the line and wait. Very visibly pregnant she tried to re-explain that we purchased a preferred table and that we were already inside the lobby, and there was plenty of room for her and her husband to come stand with us -he still tried to stand in her way so she could not walk around the line saying " well if I let you then everyone will expect to be able to go ". This is why I had already spoken to the young gentleman that checked our tickets into the lobby and he said it would be fine for them to walk up when they arrived, so I told her to ignore the man and go ahead and come around, and she was able to walk right in. Right about 9:30 PM the doors into the theater area opened and it is first come first serve to the tables. Server took our order after a short while everything came out surprisingly quick. We had to send back the fried pickles as they were swimming in grease. I asked the server if he could just have the kitchen remake it as my prego daughter really wanted that however he said they would just come out the same way again. We tried to blot them with napkins, but as you can see in my photo that's just for me barely touching one of them and my fingers are covered in oil. Yuck! The southwest eggrolls were good just your standard run of the mill. Do not order an old-fashioned! They cut the rind instead of just using the peel, use a maraschino cherry instead luxardo ( which I can still settle for both ) BUT the basic 3 ingredient cocktail was wrong! Service was better in the beginning because we were seated before all those that had been in line- then it took a while. 18% grat included so they def need to step their game up The show itself was really good. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night. The location is also a big plus since there are plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby, which makes it easy to turn your visit into a full evening out. Overall, this is a great spot to go with someone whether it is a date or just a night out with friends. I would definitely come back again.

There is also an upstairs area with an outside patio if you want to catch some fresh air or take a smoke break. As for the inside stage area, it has some nice sound quality although it can get hot due to the amount of people it can pack inside. Ballyhoo! drew quite the crowd which I'm not surprised with. There's a bar in the main lobby area and in each room where it's full bar and a decent amount of beers on tap. Drinks are pricy as it's during shows so dont' expect dive-bar prices when you're planning to get your drink on here. I'll probably be here for future shows should I find any artists that suit my music/comedy tastes.

We love Claire School of Dance! I cannot recommend it enough. The teachers are all very well trained and great with kids. I believe they are all American Ballet Theater certified. The owner, Roxanne Claire, is extremely involved in day-to-day operations and teaches a number of the classes. My daughter loves learning ballet and other dance styles from Ms. Claire. In addition to teaching good technique and making it fun for the dancers, I've found that the school also promotes good body image, which is especially important to me as the father of a soon-to-be tween. I highly recommend the school for dancers of any age.

Our server was Laura. She was nice and funny. They had $25 flight specials. I went with the Sayanara Flight which had white wines. I really enjoyed them and they weren't too sweet. My friend had an NA wine which she enjoyed. We ordered the Truffle Fries and Meatballs. Both dishes were tasty. I enjoyed the aioli that came with the fries. They had discounted wines for purchase. Not all bottles were 50% off, however the gentleman that we spoke to went ahead and gave me a 50% discount on both the rosé and pinot grigio that I purchased which was so appreciated! I often pass by it going through a shortcut to I-45 and sometimes going home around the area. It's literally a 5-minute drive. I booked reservations Friday since I saw they opened up the 31st on Resy. It wasn't earlier in the week, but I knew it was the last day, and my friend and I really wanted to try. I'm glad we made reservations because they were at capacity (150 person capacity) and weren't taking any walk ins. We got there early cause Resy suggested checking out the Tasting Room before or after the reservation time. We got there about an hour earlier, and the host said he didn't know anything about that except that the Tasting Room area was used for events. Interesting. We were seated earlier on the patio on this freezing evening. At first, we were at a table that didn't have a heat lamp, but when one freed up, they were so nice to suggest that we move closer to the heat lamp since they saw us shivering. Lol. We were thankful for that. I wore fleece lined jeans and brought gloves and a beanie anyway having been in the below freezing winter in London. Laura was our server and was kind and funny. So was this other guy who checked in every now and then. He made light of their last day situation. The dining area is so beautiful inside. I love the limestone-looking interior and chandeliers. Reminds me of Fredericksburg or something. They had many large groups and a few small groups of friends or couples dining on this last day. Way to go out with a bang. A lot of the wines were selling out or already sold out around 7-8 pm. We tried the truffle fries and Sicilian meatballs with focaccia bread. I like the thick cut of the fries and the black garlic aioli. It reminded me of yuca fries. The Sicilian meatballs were a bit small, peppery and salty. I wish the marinara was a little more tart. The focaccia helped cut through the saltiness. I had 2 glasses of the NA Sauvignon blanc which was light and a little tart. They ran out of the NA red blend. My friend ordered Sayonara, one of their farewell flights which were aptly named for "goodbye". It was a great night on the patio but chilly. My friend purchased a rosé and a Pinot Grigio as part of their Last Sail wines. Actually, the Pinot Grigio wasn't part of the sale, and he was going to take off 20%, but he also made it 50% off. It does take a bit of time to get served, but the drinks are really good with proper glassware and the servers are like ninjas trying to get them to your seat without interfering with the performance, so just order early and order again before you're empty! The name is simply "Houston" spelled backwards. The decor is quirky, eclectic and goes hard on the taxidermy. There are all kinds of animals from land-based to sea creations in all kinds of positions, along with very unique art and ambiance to explore. The multi-room layout makes the place a fun spot to explore and check out the different levels. The darkly lit ambiance makes it a bit hard for photographs, but it is no less a dizzying and fascinating space. My favorite part of the entire place is on third floor, where there is a sound dome that doubles as a visualizer, a communal space, and a trippy acoustics wonderland where music can be played via bluetooth and tourists and locals would enjoy it. The sound system is excellent and a perfect place to chill out. There's more than just sensory overload, the drinks also deserve a bit of mention. The jalapeño palomas and hibiscus mules are fun, despite feeling a tinge overpriced. Bartenders are nice people, and service as a whole is a thumbs up. The parking situation will be challenging, since this is Downtown proper. Street parking is available just down the block, and if one can avoid the crowded weekends, the weeknights are an ideal time to visit. It's hard not to be impressed with the distinctiveness of the place, which is truly one of the city's great local favorites.
