Ambiance (3/5): Dan Electros is located in a residential neighborhood. They have a relatively small parking lot and it was completely full on a Wednesday. We ended up parking on the street a block or two away. Initially, I wasn't too impressed. Dan Electros has a gravel parking lot. Never a fan. It gets your car dirty and your shoes dirty. When you walk in though, you're entering a dive bar with some character. It's tough to describe what that is exactly but it's something you feel. Dan Electros hosts a lot of live music and they have a small dance floor. If you're into live music, as I am, this may be the spot for you. They also have a pool table which is always a plus in my book. Service (4/5): I ordered a drink at the bar. I was greeted promptly and received my drink promptly. When I later went back to the bar to close out, I was able to do so without much effort. Solid experience overall. Food (N/A): I didn't have any food as I had dinner prior, but I don't think they have food anyway. I'm not 100% though. Drinks (4/5): For a dive bar, Dan Electros has a cool menu with some interesting cocktails and a good beer list. Huge back looks scary and is too dark and so loud. One pool table, the back bar needs to be taken out! I love the ban last night but couldn't hear them sing some songs! I couldn't hear the next day! They need some serious adjustments to the loud instruments. Get rid of the mean, rude dude at front door who's taking the money! Customer service is key to success! The bartender was friendly and quick with the mixes -- no long waits at the bar, which is always a plus when the place starts getting busy. The energy really picked up once the house music got going. And honey Mallory put on a show! We also got to hear a performance from Charlise, who put on a great show as well! The host was Mrs. Kollett and she is hilarious!! She is seriously talented, engaging, and welcoming. An entire vibe! She knew how to interact and work the room, a crowd pleaser if you will! Happy hour is every Wednesday and Friday from 7-8pm and every Thursday from 5:30-6:30pm. Select drinks and bites for 7 dollars each. Service was slow, but steady as the servers had several tables to attend to. Rhythm Room has a speakeasy feel, with intimate and sophisticated vibes. I personally think even the $20 per person was expensive so I'm not sure it's something we'll attend again. We were able to pick our seats and catch the last 30 minutes of the show. The band was pretty great and very engaging with the audience. It was about 25 of us in there but it was a good show overall. It was very cold in there but I survived. The menu looked decent and the drinks were fairly priced so I opted for a mocktail. Our waitress was sweet and took care for us even though we were there for a short while. It certainly appeals to an older crowd, but it was a good time.

The Rustic qualifies as OMG! The ambiance is like an upscale Texas sports bar, so a bit rustic while nice. The breakfast sampler was a-a-a-amazing! Yes, it really is 5 small plates. Wow! The challah French toast and blackened potatoes were particularly memorable. Each dish was strongly flavored and perfectly prepared. I also got a French press coffee that underwhelmed (it was made with boiling water so it was a bit burnt flavored), but have no fear, it was replaced with a cold brew coffee that was really good. Service was TOP NOTCH with Lily being very pleasant, attentive, personable, and professional. I was impressed with her approach to make sure things met expectations. Very impressed by Sparkle City Disco as the opening act as they played classic disco infused by their own styles. Moon Taxi was amazing as well. They get the crowd into their shows and the energy was off the charts. As for the venue, the shows are on the second floor so be prepared to climb some steps. It has a bar and merchandise table next to the stage and there's plenty of standing room to watch the performance. Standing only from what I saw so wear your most comfortable shoes. Location is in EaDo next to a few bars and eats so it makes for an adventurous night in town. Look forward to more shows here; now they need to book some solid upcoming artists!

This music venue has been here for years and I've seen a few concerts at this location. I saw…read moreBelami in the small room a few years ago. That was a very intimate setting and I enjoyed it. I've also been to a couple concerts in the big room like Miguel and most recently Masego. The bigger room is one huge space. It has two bars, one on either side of the stage. You also can go into the smaller room to get drinks in that bar as well. It has a lot less foot traffic and the bathroom in that side is typically cleaner than the main room. Drinks prices are average to what most lounges charge. $8 for a 16 oz beer can and around $15-17 for a drink. Depends on what you get. More if it's a double. You have to get there really early to have time to park and get close enough for a good view. Parking can be crazy and expensive especially if there is an Astros game or a dynamo games going on that day. Sunday there was a soccer game and it took us about 40 min to park. We looked for street parking first, which there was none. And all the lots were up charging because of the games. The one closest to this venue was charging $30! So we found one like 4 blocks away for $15. Wear some real comfortable shoes with good cushion and arch support because you will be standing the whole time. It honestly sucks being short or average height trying to fight for a view. You have to get there right when doors open in order to get close enough to have a fighting chance at having a good view. But who wants to stand for an hour before a concert starts? Doors opened at 7. By the time we got ready, found parking, waited in like and got inside it was about 8:30 and the first act had already started. I've tried to do the window thing where you stand in the middle behind too people. I was able to see for a little while but people of course jam, dance and move. So I couldn't see the whole time. I've had instances where people push past you to get closer and it makes the space tight. At least the sound is good. So even though I couldn't see the whole time, I heard the music clearly. Masego was awesome! I love his music. And I love when artists sound the same as they do when they record music. He is super talented.
