I love shopping in the Los Al community but one place lost my business. The service at this store is horrible! I was told one thing , in regards to returning an item, but when I had to return it, I was told it's an exchange only. The ladies that work here are very accommodating. Tries to help as much as they can and most important of all, are still grateful even if you leave without buying anything. I also bought some items online before 3pm and it was delivered to my house free of charge by 7pm! Price point is very reasonable for the quality of products they sell. Love this store! read more

Love, Love, Love this place! A gf of mine told me about TDB as it is around the corner from her home. Like me, she has a little extra junk in the trunk and was never really thrilled with her options at most department stores. After 'liking' TDB via Facebook, I would keep an eye out for anything new they got in the store. While the prices here are not at the lowest, you can find some pretty good deals and unique pieces. They have SOOO many choices when it comes to jeans and also have a great Toms customization station on certain Sat. What I appreciated most about the place is the service. After seeing some coral wedges pop up on their FB page, I sent a message and asked if they had the shoes in my size. Some got back to me within 24 hours and I was able to run over to the store and pick up my shoes with no issue. Great little small place. My only complaint would be the parking. They are on a main street and backing out into traffic can be a little scary! read more

The Denim Bar is a great little boutique off of Los Alamitos Blvd. next to Flags With A Flair. They offer some of the best names in denim: Citizens, Seven for All Mankind, Joe's, Hudson, J Brand, Red Engine, Level 99, Rock & Republic and more... They also carry chic and trendy tops, dresses, accessories, jewelry by indie designers, and shoes - all affordable. It's a one stop shop for incredible outfits. What I love about the Denim Bar is their customer service. Someone is there to help you find the right fit and size. They don't carry a huge stock of sizes because their stock is always changing, but I've been lucky the last few times I've gone in. You can also join their mailing list to find out what's new in the store. I like how they're becoming environmentally friendly by giving customer's the option of purchasing one of their "brown bags," which when you bring it in, gives you 10% off your purchase. A boutique with a limited selection of clothing, accessories, and shoes, but their taste is very good and their customer service is excellent. This place is a wee pricy, but since their offerings are more unique than what you can find at the mall and their employees friendlier and more helpful, it's a price I'm willing to pay. read more

Only problem with this place is dragging my wife out. I don't like shopping but I have to say this place rocked. The chicks who worked the counter were cool, the atmosphere was awesome and the cloths were cool too. The owner popped in half way through our trip and she was totally rad. The Denim Bar is a sweet little cottage house- filled with affordable tees, Free People dresses and tops, skirts and denim! I bought a fabulous strapless blue chambray printed dress with elastic shirring in 2 different colors- red and gray. Love it! And it retailed for less than $60!!! Girls- stop on in!!!! Amazing quality clothes and prices that are totally reasonable (didn't want to use the word affordable) Their accessories are super darling- I bought 3 oversized flower rings in different colors. i have been shopping here now more regularly for the past three years and I am truly loving the personal experience and service you get from a small town boutique. I don't think I gave them a chance at first but now I have developed a relationship with all the girls and love that they take the time to help and most of all the clothing is made in USA...and nothing is overpriced and its all made well. Judy the owner cares about her customers and you don't get that at Brandy Melville where the clothes are barely sewn together by a 9 year old. I also rarely give 5 stars but I thought about and they deserve each one and if I had to take away a star it would be they need to create my very own parking space.. i also lost some faith in the Yelp review but mine is genuine...we all need to make an effort to shop local. read more

Love Judy and the staff at this darling boutique. Latest clothing designs and carries Free People!!!!! Love their friendly and helpful attitude... Always spend too much when I go there (I have a teenager). But she loves their clothing and wears a uniform to school now so she loves to have nice pieces to wear when not going to school. If you want the latest trends at a great price, this is the place. The shop is unique. It has it all to put outfits together starting with the basics from lingerie to jewelry. They carry Hudson jeans, cute tops, nice shoes. The employees are friendly and have a high sense of fashion as they look very well put together. I received so many compliments on my top. BIGGEST of shoutouts to Jade for owning the two most INCREDIBLE shops on the Northshore. I cannot say enough about not only the selections available, but the employees as well. You get treated like a princess in these stores. Every one of the ladies are smiling big and ready to help style you! When I visit, I don't even have to dig through clothes... I simply tell the stylists a little about what I am looking for, and they had a dressing room ready for me with tons of options to try on, as well as a cold beverage. I can't say enough about this cute boutique! The staff, including the adorable owner make you feel so welcome and are helpful without being pushy. My daughter is a GIANT fan of nearly everything they carry particularly the TOMS and Free People pieces. The price range is pretty varied, depending on the item and they have a huge selection of jeans. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and the shop next door is also the same owner, excellent for gifts and collectibles...love them! read more

The buyer for this store does an awesome job finding unique items that you can't find any where else. Prices are usally cheaper then Nordstroms! The sales girls are VERY helpful and can always help me find something to wear, and the right fitting jean. I like to stop by offten beacuse they get new things in everyday! read more

The prices range from very affordable to higher prices such as Free People and some of the higher end jeans. I always receive compliments on the clothing from here. Sadly I was treated really rudely when it came to their return policy. I received a really cute sweater for christmas from my family and I was so sad that it didn't fit. I went to return it the first week of January after I had time from the holidays being over and was unable to because I was over their time limit policy that I was unaware of to even get store credit. What really made me upset was that instead of being nice about it they told me to regift the sweater... which I thought was so rude- why would I give a sweater to a friend that then they couldn't return. I love supporting local shops and if they get their customer service up I will gladly go back but for now I will no longer go here. read more

I live in the area and have always been one to support local businesses. I've had multiple encounters with bad customer service and I have wrote on a different social media platform to seek acknowledgement from my past encounters and unfortunately I have not received any responses! Furthermore, the last time I stopped by BEFORE they were closed and the doors were already shut, I knocked at the door to ask the employee why they were closed seeing how I read their Instagram post from that day which stated they were clearly supposed to still be open but the employees stood behind the counter and wouldn't even come to the door as I was knocking. Very disappointed as this is a small business and usually small businesses provide better customer service then I have experienced! I also own my own small business in the retail industry and know how important good customer service is. Extremely disappointed given the fact I have referred many friends and family to your store but I won't be doing that again! read more

This is a great little boutique. They have a terrific selection of brand name jeans as well as lots of cute tops and affordable accessories and jewelry. The jewelry collection here is especially fun. I socred a pair of Joe's for 1/2 price and a really great leather studded cuff for @ $15. You wouldn't really know this boutique is here. It's in a small row of old homes that are now shops. Sad to be writing this review because I do think they have a cute selection of clothes. Unfortunately I will not be returning. The manager (not owner) made me feel horrible. I tried on 2 pairs of Paige denim jeans 200.00 a piece so as you can imagine I wanted to take my time trying them on to make sure I got the perfect fit. I ended up putting them back on the shelf because I decided they were not for me and as I was walking out of the store the manager says to me "I don't see the jeans, did you put them back" ? Then after finding them in her hands she says "oh I found them" . As you can imagine I felt horrible. I felt as though she was accusing me of trying to steal the jeans! The worst part was from the moment I walked into the store she was just unwelcoming and rude. I live right down the street from this store so I probably pop in 1 time a month. So sad to say I will not be returning and I will make sure to tell my friends about my horrible experience. read more

I have been shopping at Denim Bar since they opened in Los Alamitos for myself and for gifts for family and friends; however, due to their return policy I will not shop there anymore. I purchased gifts for my daughter for Christmas and when she went back to exchange them in January they told her there was a 7 day return policy and she could not exchange or get store credit. My daughter was so sad about it and felt terrible. Her Birthday happens to be in January and when she told me this I had already bought 3 items for her Birthday which was not for another week (over the 7 day return policy). My husband went into to talk to them and explain the situation and they said yes "7 day policy". We had to have her open the 3 gifts early to make sure if she needed to exchange them she could. Very disappointing. I don't know about everyone else, but I usually purchase gifts more than 7 days in advance; therefore this gives no room for exchanging. What made the situation even worse is that both my daughter and my husband said when they went in to exchange or discuss the policy the employees were rude to them. I always try to shop local and support the smaller stores, but this one is now taken off my list. read more
