Enter Lafayette Dental Excellence. Dr. Leo, Jane, Mary, and Barb are everything I'd hoped to find, but never thought I would. Dr. Leo excels in the traits I value most in a dentist: patience, attention to detail, and outstanding knowledge of the most up-to-date advances in dentistry - in addition to foundational knowledge from experience, of course. Oh and, of equal import, compassion for my terror of anything remotely related to dental issues. Dr. Leo's assistant, Jane, could not be more kind and efficient. Mary, the office manager, is incredibly knowledgeable as well, so kind (must be a prerequisite for the office), and just fun to talk to - even in the midst of a painful dental emergency. Finally, Barb, my very first introduction to the office when I called, is warm and engaging. She sold me on giving the office a try, and I am so glad I did. Highly recommend this team.

The patient information paperwork was clean and professional, I enjoyed the office tour, and was made to feel as though I hadn't worry about my teeth - i was in good hands. Dentist was professional, yet not over the top (which I appreciate) and very personal. The before and after pictures were huge for me because I knew, without a doubt, my mouth was clean when I left. No problem, I understand things happen but not a great intro to my next appointment that was *supposed* to be this week. I confirmed my appointment and then got a call 24 hours before needing to reschedule. I missed the call as I was working. I call back 4 hours later, after receiving 2 emails that my appointment was rescheduled for different times, and call to confirm my new appointment time I'd been assigned via email. I was told the emails were to get me to call them back to reschedule and were not real appointment times? There are no appointments until March of 2026 but I can get on the waiting list. Not sure why I have an appointment to be on a waiting list with and unknown of when I can get my cleaning and exam. March 2026 would have put me at 15 months from my previous cleaning. I am under the impression I am not an important patient here and am looking for a new dental office that values my health and time.

The receptionist was efficient but could have been a bit more outgoing and welcoming. My cleaning was great and they found a tooth needing a crown. After a couple fillings over nearly thirty years, this tooth needed a protective cap installed. Over a couple visit last, they worked on my mouth and gave me a great fitting cover. That's not how it played out. During my first visit, the dentist doesn't even examine me. Doesn't look in my mouth. Just glances at my x-ray and says "your tooth root is infected," slaps me on antibiotics, and schedules me for an extraction. No other options given, nothing. Just pull it. I paid over $600 for that whole debacle. Horrible, painful experience. Two months later I went back for what was supposed to be a routine cleaning. The hygienist did the bare minimum -- essentially brushed my teeth and called it done. Then I was told it would cost $30, and that all visits carry this fee, despite the plan advertising free preventive care. Are you kidding? I'm still fighting this one. Between the lack of an actual exam before recommending an extraction, the low-effort cleaning, and being charged for something advertised as free, this whole experience felt like false advertising, maybe fraud? Save your money and your teeth and go literally anywhere else.

I had an awful experience with a dental group in Broomfield which left me never wanting to visit a dental office AGAIN. Sheri at the front desk made me feel right at home, so much so, I didn't even need to visit the office first before telling my friends they needed to hop on this train. They have a super easy online application option that was much less laborious than other crap applications I am used to completing with dental. The industry is still working on coming out of the dark ages so I really appreciated this! Spoiler alert- my intuition was right on! The office is beautiful, high tech, clean and oh so welcoming. No bleach beige hospital feels here. The beautiful aquarium full of tropical fish had me wanting to hang out all day. Dr. Wehking met me in the waiting area within a few minutes of check-in and gave me a tour of the office. Each room is carefully decorated to make you feel like you're in your trendier home away from home. Everyone had a gorgeous smile on their face and seemed to genuinely LOVE what they were doing, what a concept. There were beautiful mature plants in the rooms which is just so refreshing to see and a stark contrast from what I have been used to. Everything about the energy in that office put me at ease. Dr. Wehking and her staff were ultra thorough with their examination and charting. They took more rads and photos than I have ever had during any appointment, it really made me feel like no stone was being left unturned. It was obvious to me that the standard of care here exceeds today's "normal dental standards". I was never made to feel rushed and at no point did I feel that I was being sold on anything or just another number coming through the door. Anastasia, my hygienist, was amazing. Insurance can be scary and uncertain, and as a patient I want to know (1) what the procedure is going to cost, and (2) if there's uncertainty around costs, what they are, and how they might be resolved. Having a patient and empathetic billing person would go a long way to helping this.
