The bartender in the back helped us and was really friendly. The bartender made the drinks strong so I can't complain

It's Pride month and a group of friends and I wanted to go out to celebrate. We met up at the depot on Monday night, on Monday nights we were told it's free billiards night and they mostly played rock-n-roll. They had rock themed shots on sale throughout the night. The environment was lively, and the staff was pretty friendly. The only thing is the sliding door wasn't being kept closed in the back and so the smell of cigs were overwhelming in the billiards area. Though my friends and I still had fun and enjoyed the night.

Are You kidding me? This place makes more than enough money to have decent cue sticks and hand chalk for Pool players. You have to pay 2 Bucks for one game, surrender your id AND leave a deposit to play a game, and this is the $#!t you get? Also, seriously? You guys can't fix the sink in the men's room so it's not constantly wasting water? Lastly, the bar is overdue for some deep cleaning.

The queens don't do their makeup very well, the video bar is more uber gay Erasure than kinda gay Depeche Mode and the toilets reek.

Dive Bar somehow pulls off the impossible: it's a neighborhood hangout, a tourist attraction, a…read moredance floor, and a people-watching safari all at once. If you've read some of the one-star reviews, you'll notice a recurring theme: people are deeply offended that a bar contains loud music, dancing, crowds, and occasionally someone who has enjoyed the concept of "happy hour" a little too enthusiastically. That's a bit like giving the ocean one star because it's wet. What really makes Dive Bar special is the staff. After spending enough time there, I've gotten to know almost everyone by name--including the security crew. They are exactly what great security should be: friendly, welcoming, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone has a good time. And when someone decides the evening should revolve around them instead of the other hundred people trying to enjoy themselves, they handle it firmly, calmly, and without drama. Keeping a place fun sometimes means escorting an asshole to the exit, and they do it with remarkable professionalism. The bartenders keep things moving even when it's packed. The servers somehow manage to stay upbeat in the middle of controlled chaos. Everyone seems to understand that hospitality isn't just about serving drinks--it's about creating an atmosphere where strangers can relax, laugh, dance, and forget the outside world for a while. Dive Bar also captures something uniquely Sacramento. It's a little weird, a little flashy, wonderfully unpretentious, and right in the heart of K Street. You never know who you'll meet or what conversation you'll stumble into. College students, professionals, tourists, retirees, regulars--everyone mixes together because everyone is there for the same reason: to have fun. If you're looking for a quiet library, this isn't it. If you're looking for one of the liveliest places in Sacramento to dance, be silly, celebrate life, and remember that adults are allowed to have fun, Dive Bar absolutely delivers.

I have been especially impressed when I have ordered the bottomless mimosas because they always keep an eye out and fill up your glass as soon as they're able to. Hardly making me wait. The food is delicious. Some of our faves are: TJ's Potato Benny Hash Platter, the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce are perfection. Roscoe's Breakfast Burger is so good, especially with the over easy egg. Chicken & Waffle is good but I'm not a fan of combining them (gravy on top of it all) so I'd separate them if you're like me. Still so good. My fiancé loved the veggie scramble. Oh and we can't forget the fun decor! As they state in their website, the decor pays tribute to the artists and people from around the world who welcome diversity, equity, and inclusion...and there's no second guessing that! Great experience overall. Next time, we plan on going to a Sunday Drag Brunch!

They opened at 10am and were definitely not ready for business once those doors opened - when customers started walking in, there were no staff present at all. We also couldn't find a menu anywhere - about 5 minutes later, we saw one of the employees folding some up. We ordered regular Duck Fat Fries and Dirty Duck Fries to share - the fries on both items tasted old, stale and not how we remembered. I also hated the heavy beer flavor of the cheese sauce on the Dirty Duck Fries - these fries used to be amazing! They were the reason we always came back. Overall, my husband and I used to love coming to LowBrau - we even came with a bunch of people the day after we got married almost 12 years ago. I don't know if this was just an off day, but it was not like we remembered - even the vibes felt off. I don't see us coming back for a while unfortunately.
